See the patern? The more the society is bakward the less cases will be reported. Do you honestly think there was no rape in FATA? Hell in afghani refugee camps most women are pregnant because of forced rape according to UN report.

That is just a lame excuse. Why is then the population to crime ratio not so much high in the case of Sindh?

You cannot just de-value a genuine virtue of some society by making that excuse.

The real reason is in KP and Afghanistan, there is a sense of honour where offence against somebody's women is considered the gravest offence and not only the victim tries to avenge it but also the society doesn't generally tolerate it.

KP and Afghan society is more conservative although that also leads to unfair treatment of women by the family members.

And cite me that UN report.

Also, the real point is, in Punjab people usually don't stand by the victim and not for a principle and more unfortunately in some cases will try to use the weakness of someone to their advantage.

Logical, read UN report on Afghanu refugee camps. Don't give me concervative society excuse. Most ****ed up things happen in conservative society, look at Afgaynistan which have become hub of raping little boys.

I can see pashtuns trying to avenge rape if high caste pashtun women is raped, but low caste pashtuns like you are considered fair game by them. Kammi can never raise his voice up to zamindar forget about revenge.

That is why I don't consider Punjabi a very virtuous society. You are here bragging about how the powerful can go around and oppress the poor yet wouldn't get a response from the victim or broader society.

In KP most of the violence happens over "zan, zar, and zameen". You cannot simply go around and trespass somebody's land or private space. That leads to long series of violence which every body tries to avoid.

First of all stop giving exemples of what high caste aka real pashtuns do. Low caste people like you neither have zameen, feuds, or even izzat. Thats why high caste pashtuns think its fair game to rape your women, or marry them while not even think about giving likes of you high caste pashtun women in marriage.

And there is better police system and its improving, last week 3 people were hanged to death for raping someone. Next week some bacha baz will be hanged to death. Don't confuse Pakistan with afghanistan.

Some zamindar women of Punjab are married into my family. I never found them so conscious of their zamindar prerogative as you as a Zamindar here. Probably, this is the behavior of Zamindar men.

Moreover, zameen or zar are just symbolic things. Behind these apparent symbols is the self-respect that one fights for. If there is no zameen, some other symbols are invoked to assert that sense of self-respect. Insulting someone in a bazar may even lead to enmities and grave consequences. To avoid that people try to be nice to each others.

I was talking to you about the basic value of the Pashtun-versus-Punjab society. In Pashtun society, you avoid oppressing the weak and to prove your power you challenge the powerful (ethical aspect of the value). Moreover, your status in society is decided by how generous and caring you are. It is not by oppressing the weaker. Moreover, people stand with the weak because they think if unchallenged the powerful may get emboldened and then try to dominate others(political aspect of the value).

I don't say that it is fair game everywhere but it is the case where the society isn't much feudal and where egalitarian traditions still persist.

this is quite low, even I can claim many things on internet. So called zamindar women can be from your kammi kameen people if it happened in city, did you specically go to some punjab village and asked for zamindar women hand? Because likes of you are killed on spot for doing just that. So I don't advice you to claim bs on internet.

And zameen is indeed symbolic, when I say zamindar I don't mean someone with thousands of acres. But someone belonging to particular clan who are not kammis. People like you don't have feuds over anything, which is good thing for your kin. Your kin is considered beghairat for similar reason in jahil society. You guys don't fight for what is yours.

And I will again advice you to not talk about pashtuns on behalf of your kin. Listen carefully again, no one have feuds with kammi people. You get it? Feuds with kammi is considered inmoral and feuds mean other party also have means to strike back which is not the case with kammi people.

Gujrat have highest murder rate in Pakistan, most of the times extended family feuds. Kammi are never involved or killed. They are down by default, no one need to put them down in rural areas. Ok? I hope you understand your position better now. I know people in foriegn countries who never experienced this have hard time getting how society works.

So you're saying Punjab society is more progressive because it has a ridiculously higher incidence of rape & kidnapping. 1408 times more rape than FATA.

You have the plot backwards sir

What tilla_jogian says suggests indicates that non-reporting of rape cases is more likely to be true of the rural areas of the Punjab interior because the Zamindar with hundreds of acres of land may be so powerful that the victim may be fearful reporting any offence by him.

There is so much contradiction in what tilla says. He on one hand brags about the power of Zamindars and their privilege to dishonour the women of the kammie classes and on the other denying that the higher incidence of rape and gang-rape may be the consequence of such disparity or that the under-reporting of rape crimes occurs more likely in Punjab because the huge power of land-lord and his connection with bureaucracy will definitely be scaring the victim to report it.

Lol-don't gallop so fast on that horse otherwise you will fall flat. That Zamindar thing was just a joke. But the idea you are giving me is that Punjabi society is nothing more than a gutter where there is all that obnoxious filth piled up in it (sorry to use that strong language). It is truly the Hindu society but with only exception that there are only new terms used for the old caste system. What an ugly rotten society with all that glitter. That is why I say Pashtun society is relatively more virtuous and has higher moral values.
And my foot Zamindar. I will not even spit on the face of Zamindar let alone talk with him or ask the hand of his daughter in marraige.

I was born and raised in the Pashtun society and of course I don't know much about the structure of violence in Punjabi society. But what you are telling me is simply shocking and repelling not from a Westerner perspective but from a Pashtun perspective.

So that means you are a completely rogue and sick society that fights not for a higher moral principle but for maintaining the clan-ego. It is an indication of a collective psychopathy. What I was telling you is that in Pashtun society people fights when offended and will stand with the poor. Therefore offences such as gang rapes and rapes happen rarely in Pashtun areas.

Even poor people pick up guns to get even with the powerful.

Again you are not making any sense as usual. Someone with 100s of acres are only found in sindh or south punjab/seraiki areas. They are known as waderas. In rest of punjab and azad kashmir there are small landowners just like in KPK. But these lands are owned by few zamindar tribes who have sizeable population. Here I am talking about zamindar and kammi people not waderas and their slaves as is the case in south punjab/sindh.

And just as the case in KPK/Fata kammi people are never seen as equal. More repoting occurs because almost 50% of punjab population is urban compared 15% in KPK or 0% in FATA. What happen in remote areas stay there. Punjab is quickly being urbanized and kammi people are gaining influence. Even Raheel Sharif is half kasbi which is artisan caste.

Plus most pashtuns don't considerer raping non-pashtun women as rape if this forum is anything to go by. So if they rape some kammi like you, its considered perfectly normal and part of culture.

You was born and raised in Canada which is anything but pashtun society. Few days ago you was proud son of Abdali and now have finally seen some light. KPK caste system and punjab caste system is 100% identical, in fact its similar all over Pakistan rural areas. So if punjab caste system is hindu then is the case with KPK where likes of you are kammi by birth and nothing can change that.

In pashtun society they fight when offended but what about your society? You are not pashtun but low caste, your kin doesn't care about these things and neither they fight anyone over petty things like ghairat.
