Hallo, at least their intentions were good. The revolutionaries in Afghanistan wanted to change things in Afghanistan that had been kept stagnant by the despotic monarchy of Afghanistan.

Communists have fared better than the so-called democratic forces of the free world who supported despots, dictators, keeping entire populations backward and oppressed. Look at states in Central Asia. Not only the backward tribal traditions were broken but these states also have 100 percent literacy rate.

But hay I am no longer an admirer of revolutions and chaotic destabilization that revolutions cause. I on the other hand strongly oppose them. Gradual peaceful transformation through political and social activism is rather more effective.

Turning Afghanistan into ground for super power dog fight---was exactly done in good intention.
You have no idea about central Asia states--the fact is sooner or later it will erupt into full violence has it was seen in Kirgizstan.
