Why do you (or anyone else who shares this opinion) support abortion if the mother has been raped? If abortion is murder or injustice to the child, why is it not murder or injustice in cases of rape? . . . It's not the child's fault the mother was raped; why should she/he have to pay for the crime?

I have conflicting views on abortion. I used to think that it's okay if the mother's raped, but now that I think about it, I'm like ... wait a minute, why?! If it's wrong in one case, what makes it okay in another case, especially when neither the mother's nor the baby's health is at risk?

          disgusting

If someone gets pregnant they have to pay for their consequences.
If the baby would be better off without the mom, there is ALWAYS adoption.

i never said i would force her :/

i'm saying if a girl is going around hooking up with guys and accidentally gets pregnant, why should the baby pay for her mistake.
Its not okay to kill the baby just because the mom doesn't want to give birth.
if she doesn't want to raise the baby then she can give it up for adoption but killing the baby?? come on :/
She should have thought about it before she hooked up with the a guy.

              I agree with you Gulalai.

but ultimately even if she did hook up it's still her decision.

Yeah. I, too, believe it should be up to the mother to decide (and maybe her partner as well). We might scream at or fight with or mock her for her decision, but that still doesn't change the fact that the child is hers and the ultimate decision lies in her hand.

Gulalai Guley, what about married women who want to have abortion? They're not hooking up with just some random guys; they are simply performing one of their most natural rights and privileges as married individuals. Ka sanga? Plus, some people just can't afford to have (a lot of) kids; they're practical enough to know that things don't just fall from the sky for us, so you have to actually work to live and support your family/children. It's not always that easy getting someone to adopt your baby, either. (Remember: Most Muslims believe that adoption is haraam. What should one do in that case?)

As far as "killing the baby" is concerned, it depends on which stage the abortion takes place at. If it's in the most incipient stages, then it's not considered murder. Of course, the question is ... who decides when it's murder and when it's not?

true, it still is her decision. we can't FORCE someone not to have an abortion, just like we can't FORCE someone to be a Muslim.
                  everyone has their own opinions.

i personally would never have an abortion,
and if someone asks me about abortion i will explain to them why i dislike the thought of abortion.. but ultimately it's their own decision

i didn't think of married women having an abortion lol

but i was just speaking of the women who do sleep around, in response to Saif and timbaktu because they were talking about those type of situations.

and for those who have abortion because they can't afford to raise children, i think they should have thought about it before they "conceived a baby"
and if they did use some type of birth control and they were the 1 or 2 % who happened to get pregnant, well i personally think it's just their destiny and that it's still not okay to have an abortion :/

as the the question of "who decides when it's murder and when it's not?"
like i said before it's just a difference of opinion.
                  Everyone had their own opinion.

Sorry but abortion is not a game, oh i am pregnant let me abort. Its bringing a soul into this world and then you have to decide at wat time it is able to abort and wat time it isn't to classify it as murder

the question at the moment is
what is the abortion thread doing in the technology section?

Because only so called technologically advanced beings, think babies are robots which can be terminated when they feel like it...

I think we should abort those who think abortion is always good...

I'm in agreement with DaZahroJaam & Palwasha, as I understand what they say: that abortion only OK if the mother's life is seriously in danger.

I believe this because I feel sure that God has this opinion!

Therefore all the human debate is like dust. Especially in America where one hears endless voices self-righteously insisting: "it should be the woman's decision."

NO! It was God's decision to send the child. Who can refuse that child, no matter what the circumstances.

                              Faith is the question.

Even when a doctor pushes for an abortion, many courageous women refuse.

Sure enough, a miracle happens and a completely safe delivery occurs. I see this as due to heavenly intervention because the mother made the RIGHT decision and resisted the deceptive voices of other human beings. Perhaps those opinions, though meaning well, can be at times sent by the devil so that a nice child will not have a chance to be born.

This means the clear pressure from medical professionals AND the insidious subtle pressure from so-called 'friends'.

Besides, anyone having an abortion will later on, after their death, perhaps have to look at the tear-stained face of Hazrat-i-Maryam because she is so against this barbaric practice!

Think about that, and try to talk anyone you hear considering such a dark road into not having abortion. You'll get extra credit in Heaven if you do your best to prevent this spiritual crime. That's what it is I believe in Heaven's eyes.

Bad things happen to countries where it is practiced. That is their divine punishment, though few may perceive the connection.

                              Do I sound opinionated ?!

what if right now your parents decide they no longer want you? should they be allowed to go to a doctor and get rid of you?
why is it not acceptable now? because you can speak for yourself or because you have given them a reason for not wanting you now?
why is it acceptable in the case of an innocent child that can not speak for himself or has not given any one a reason to be murdered?
why don't we focus on educating our people in to not raping women instead? why not get rid of the roots of the problem instead? do any of you really think that by getting the child aborted the pain will disappear? life goes on as long as you get rid of the child?
YOU CAN'T MANIPULATE OR CHANGE THE DEFINITION OF RIGHT OR WRONG FOR YOUR OWN ****ING CONVENIENCE.
