okay then. let's take your theory and apply it to a different situation. in societies such as saudi arabia and afghanistan the majority of crimes are committed by men. therefore, men are evil and haram. why haven't the women locked up you men in cages because you are haram and the root of all evil??

BECAUSE THE MAJORITY OF MEN IN CERTAIN SOCIETIES ARE BROUGHT UP WITH ZERO SELF CONTROL WHICH PUTS THEM IN THE SAME RANK AS MOST OF THE ANIMALS IN THE ZOO, A WOMAN SHOULD NOT DRIVE BECAUSE THERE IS A POSSIBILITY THAT HER CAR MIGHT BREAK DOWN IN THE MIDDLE OF NOWHERE AND SHE MIGHT BECOME A VICTIM TO THESE ANIMALS (also known as men) WHICH WOULD PUT AN END TO HER ...WELL BEING.

well if you see my first post in this thread, i mention that I am not in favor of them driving alone because I know what can happen there, the youth there is messed up, and also with the so many single Bachelors/labors in the country, it's not a good idea

However I still say driving on the streets with a male family member is not such a big deal, especially the way these clerics are making it out to be. There are so many other issues to worry about in the country. They should try to fix their society especially the Saudi youth.

the way they treat south asians/blacks. you will never see that kind of treatment any where in the world

no one will do anything to you if you wear decent cloths and hijab and walk like a good girl, but if you were going to shake that ass every min and would lough higly then you are going to get this harassing, if you put makeup and start to look HOT you will get this harassing, if you wear skirts and wanted to get the attention you will get this harassing, if you looked beautiful and show your face to everyone you will get this harassing acts............etc

really? do the majority of women in afghanistan or saudi arabia wear mini skirts? why aren't the men in either one of these countries forbidden from driving, harassed, sexually abused or raped for wearing shorts or t shirts? why should every woman have to pay the price for "some" girl's stupidity?

Never witnessed that in my life and I have also been in Riyadh and Damman several times. I haver never seen problems with other Arabs in Saudi Arabia. All Arabs from different countries I know in Saudi Arabia (Iraq, Jordan, Syria, Yemen, Oman) get citizenship easily.

Hijaz is not liberal and should not be. Only parts of Jeddah dominated by foreginers is unfortunately.
