End of virginity, if women drive, Saudi cleric warns
Emkhan......when Nato bombs another 30 or maybe 50 of your skinny malnutrition Pak Jab faugees I will toast to it.
Did you see Veena Maliks new picture??????
I wish they toast more and more army men because they are munafiqeen and proffessional killers of the innocents... You are not a single degree less than them ...
Veena maliks is also from your secular world... How many emails of appreciation have you sent to her till now ?
EmKhan I would rather look like a Jew than a Paki. Nobody likes Pakis. Not even your Arab brothers.
"So, this essay is largely to disseminate information about the construction industry mafia that ruthlessly and relentlessly exploits South Asian workers, whose labour has created all those skyscrapers, including the tallest in the world, the Burj Dubai, penthouses, luxury apartments, 7-star hotels, golf courses and what not. Now, of course, Dubai has been badly hit by the global financial crisis but it only magnifies the utter disregard that the Arab sheikhs have for all the millions of workers who live in their kingdoms as virtual slaves."
ok go try and shove it the throat of Pashtuns in pukhtunkhwa if those women want to dirve or not.
Huh? Why are you telling me what to do? I never said I want to do that, nor did I express any interest. Pashtuns of Pashtunkhwa can decide for themselves what they want to do. I am no authority. I've never said I am interested in doing the above, so I have no clue why are you giving me this random permission. Pashtuns had nothing to do with this topic. It's about the comment that I quoted earlier, not Pashtunkhwa.
what is with this always portraying pukhtane as being anti their women,
I don't know, you tell me? I don't see anyone including myself doing what you are saying above. I have no clue why you said that. Never have I said the above.
how in the hell a 3rd party has th eright to interfere between a husband an wife or parents and daughter.
*Ting*Ting*Ting* You just reitterated what I said in my initial post. A 3rd party does not fit in this discussion. If a woman wants to drive, that's her decision and she will be wise enough to ask her husband or take the necessary measures/protocol. A nation has no right to impose sanctions on the activity in it's entirety. Nor does someone have the right to say "Leave it the way it is, as long as men can do it". If a woman choses to drive, let her mind her own business. Lower your gaze and keep it moving. If a woman does not want to drive, no one has the right to shove a gun to her head either. There are thousands of Muslim women, in Canada, USA, and many other European nations that drive, and the majority I believe where Hijab. I recently saw a woman on the LIE with a Niqab. As you can see, her family was probably complicit, and whether they were or not, the point is she was driving and minding her business. For some random Tom to oppose it, for no given logical reason, is beyond my understanding.
Caveat:
Never have I said I want all PASHTUN women to drive, nor have I said I do not want Pashtun women to drive. Thats their choice, and a woman will be wise enough when she makes her decision. In layman terms, it's none of my business dude.
i think this foreigners being in every body's business in our watan is kidn of getting annoying, they have their own of doing things.
I agree. If women of Kandahar and Kunar do not want to drive, cause they don't feel comfortable, no one should force them against their free will.
Even Adobe Photoshop can't change me.
A line[Durrand line] of hatred that raised a wall between the two brothers -Hamid Karzai
For generations, the Hindus of India prayed for deliverance from "the venom of the cobra, the teeth of the tiger and the vengeance of the Afghan."
The men of Kábul and Khilj also went home; and whenever they were questioned about the Musulmáns of the Kohistán (the mountains), and how matters stood there, they said, "Don't call it Kohistán, but Afghánistán; for there is nothing there but Afgháns and disturbances." Thus it is clear that for this reason the people of the country call their home in their own language Afghánistán, and themselves Afgháns. The people of India call them Patán; but the reason for this is not known. But it occurs to me, that when, under the rule of Muhammadan sovereigns, Musulmáns first came to the city of Patná, and dwelt there, the people of India (for that reason) called them Patáns—but God knows!

im not against women driving i was just saying that actually might not want it and that that part of the world is different and dont per se need to be......
ofcourse many woman drive especially here where the need for driving is much more.
there isnt much wrong with it ,how about we do a survey if women want to drive in those places and im sure they wouldnt even want it.
Pashtun women are not oppressed as the westerners are painting it,they are much more free to be instead of being confused about their looks and competing with men.
the same goes for working, many women in that part of the world will find it beghairath if she has to work instead of her man.
most of them believe it is a man's duty to go find a job and support the family.
so if the situation is different in the future thats another thing but we cant expect them to accept anything seen as progress/liberation by western standards.
Dont know about AFG, but i have seen loads of women driving in peshawar. Saw one driving a mini bus on arbab road, i kid you not. Made me smile and proud.
Interesting stuff.
I will be returning next year, apparently many changes have taken place.

my uncle was driving like he was driving a gaadee lol on a bumpy roads and he was nearly to hit some lady's car and she came out of her car :O she was like go and learn drive this and that it was some long argument LOOL
It is find to point out the wrongdoings of people but remember not to generalize. I as an outsider has seen that this is a great problem here. Unfortunately that is un-Islamic also. I am very glad that you found interest in Islam again. Insha'Allah may that continue.
I also so not so perfect things in Jeddah but they are rare. I bet you can see them in every society.
Women have more or less the same rights in Saudi Arabia as men. Of course the Sharia cannot be changed and should not.
The clerics in Saudi Arabia are thinking of the good-being of the women not to restrict them. I do partially agree that it can cause problems to allow women to drive on their own. I think they should be accompanied by their husbands or relatives IF POSSIBLE. There are many reasons for this. But it's rare to see women driving in the Arab world in general. But those who can handle it without doing immoral things should be allowed.
^how is driving is related to being immoral? first you have to explain this
second if they are driving with male relatives, there should be no concern at all, why are the saudi shiekhs not allowing them to drive with male relatives? why are they making such a big issue of a small problem?
In UAE and neighboring countries girls even local girls drive, i dont see them doing any thing immoral. the connection is stupid
today she drives her self to the store to buy potatoes without having to beg the man of the family, tomorrow she will drive herself to the arms of her lover....and to prevent the latter, they are not even given the right to do the first...it's just expected of women to be immoral like that..if i lived in a society like that, i would never marry or have a child. i can be your wife but i can't have the right to drive to the store and buy some potatoes because you think i am *****. i can be your mother but i can't have the right to drive to the store because you think i will victimize another man..whatever.
I am no bird, and no nest ensnares me.
non commercial would cost less if he was in charge himself which he plans on doing. right now it's n herat but soon it will be in qanadahar.

If you drive the way you speak, your probably on the wrong side of the road all the time

the biggest proof that the saudi system doesn't work is the saudi students outside studying in universties, I had some saudi students in my university and they were so rebellious to their culture its not even funny, they totally went opposite their cultural values.
The reason why the muslim world is in such a state of underdevelopment.
There is currently no Islamic State in the world.
Saudi Arabia is the biggest joke of Islamic State I can ever think of.
Where haram things are widespread and tolerated and where halal and innoffensive things are forbidden.
Just an example :
Smoking is definitely haram as it is harmful to your health and provokes cancer.
Yet there is absolutely no restriction about it in Saudi Arabia.
And we all know driving doesn't end virginity as much as staying on a couch doesn't end virginity but you will see women driving banned by "religious authorities" under such a false pretext.
What kind of "religious authority" is this ? They do not dare to speak about american bases on Saudi soil and put in jail the true scholars who speak out about that.
Makkah has the biggest tower in the world with a pagan symbol on its top.
A billion dollar western-style tower when their arab brothers starving in Gaza are awaiting Turkish humanitary aid.
And do not blame it on Saudi/Arabs. Every single muslim ethnicity is to blame for what happened to them.
Pakistan betrayed his Afghan brothers in faith. Afghans betrayed their own Afghan brothers.
In those two countries, people pretend to be very religious but the reality is that the people who sticked to Tawhid can be counted on the fingers of one hand.
How many people fighting in the name of Islam in Afghanistan ? Not even 0.2 % of the population.
Shirk is widespread. Pakistan is filled with fortune tellers. Afghans believe the number 39 has some magical power in it.
The sects. The ****ing sects. People creating sects and people following them.
There are gay prides in Istambul. Malaysians and Indonesians are struggling against western/japanese culture.
Pakistanis and Bengalis struggling against bollywood culture.
Zina is widespread in Arab countries. Rafidahs in the middle of it. And 60 years of Israeli humiliation.
Nationalism cancer in Egypt, Syria, Libya, Iran...
UnIslamic masonic satanic ideologies such as democracy, human rights being now the example to follow for muslim youth instead of sticking to Tawhid
Muslim countries became like this because of all this idolatry
Allah SWT does not change the condition of a people until they change themselves
This seems Islam is total failure!!!!!! My solution is that Islam is only a religion(beliefs+worship+religious morality) and has nothing to do with culture, society, politics and economics. Islam as a religion is a success but as a system is a failure because simply its not a system.
Driving should be taken as a skill and not an Islamic topic. Let the men and women be trained in driving and then let them drive with the driving license and this should not be a gender specific issue. Women can be immoral without driving. Women are complete human beings like men.
