oh you are our idiot.
I would like to marry an afghan girl of america or UK so that i can reach there easily for specialization. I am a greedy dhalkhor.
I could have hooked you up with one of my relatives, as you are a doctor-to-be, and speak English, and over-looking your unserious post seems like an good Muslim; But if you only want a green card I cannot help you

lol i was joking.
There is already some one special in my life.
Thanks, but the problem is that her family is not ready to marry her in a distant place like lakki marwat. Thats why i was insisting on a point while ago that marraiges btw KP and afghanistan are rare because of distance. Also the girl's family is syed and she says that her parents will probably marry her to her cousin...so another factor is caste/tribe difference

Where do you want to live after getting your Ph. D? Move back to Marwat, or some other city in KP
@not an idiot
After specialization, i have intention of practicing in lakki marwat. Our area is very backward and it needs docters. Though the area is producing many docters but they dont return to it.
guys, marriage is really a serious matter and a number of subjective and objective criteria are applied when approving a marriage bond. In the subjective criteria may be included the character, manners, personality, skillfulness, looks, etc. of the bridegroom and the bride and the social standing and goodwill of the two families in the society.
In the objective criteria are included the affluence of the family, job, education, bank-balance, and financial standing of the bridegroom, education of the bride, dowry-money, marriage-money, etc.
Social intimacy, blood-relatedness, geographical distance, etc. of the two families and future security and happiness of the bride are other considerations that are taken into account when tying the marriage-knot.
Pashtun-ness and tribal, clan or family affinities although important don't entirely determine marriage decisions.
In the case of Pashtuns, few marriages were occurring between tribes within the same geographical unit till 1980s and 1990s e.g., I don't think there were many marriages that took place between Marwats and Yousafzais or between Swatis and Dirians etc. The people of Karak i.e., Khattak were so particular about marriage within the close family back then that a doctor (I knew of) who had married a girl from Mardan was abducted by his family, tied at his home in Karak for few days, and re-married to a girl in the family by force. And this is very common in Khattaks and some other tribes (probably in the south).
But with increasing education and urbanization, there is increasing trend in Pashtuns of cross-tribal, cross-district, and cross-line marriages. More Pashtuns are marrying cross-line whenever they come into contact, develop social bond and intimacy, and when the necessary objective-subjective criteria are fullfilled.
Generally, Pashtuns will find it more convenient to marry other Pashtuns. And this is more true of KP Pashtuns.
I will be very happy if hundreds of thousands of cross-line marriages will happen.
In Peshawar Valley, there is an increasing trend of cross-marriages. In Peshawar and other urban centers, Pashtuns are marrying each other with little/declining regard to issues like tribal and geographical affiliation. This is a dominent trend in urban educated middle/lower middle classes.
The north happens to be more open-minded compared to the south in this connection.
That is why urbanization in Pashtuns and the development and expansion of an urban middle class in Pashtuns at places like Jalalabad, Pekhawar, Quetta, Kandahar, Kabul, Mardan, etc. is very necessary. Urban middle classes are more creative, interested in culture, and prone to nationalistic influences. I see a bright chance in the coming two decades of the emergence of an educated middle class in Pashtuns conscious about Pashtun matters and identity.
Luffy and goe, I don't how many times I have to go through with this..one of you use the most vile of language and the other is an instigator to a point of severe troll syndrome.
