I know plenty of crossline intermarriages; it's actually very common. Especially amongst Quettawal people and Kandaharis

and many Jalalabad and Peshawar people are intermarried.

Can we stop the hate and distrust?

No one should "buy" themselves a bride/groom

Poor people are forced to sell their daughters. Afghans are infamous for selling their daughters in the name of marraige. In pakistan chitralis sell their girls.

Actually, I complained to a moderator about when Luffy becomes insultive and he said he likes what Luffy says.

Nevertheless, if you read their posts carefully, Luffy and Kabulzada have the same attitude and point i.e., Pathans (associated with Urdu and under South Asian sphere of influence) and Afghans (associated with Dari and under Iranian sphere of influence) ----that Pashtuns submerged by these neighbouring cultures, that they like to perpetuate.

Anyhow, the thing is, marriage is a important issue in Pashtuns and a lot of things are taken into consideration e.g., ethnicity, clan/tribe, future security and happinese of the bride, background and character of the bridegroom and the bride, stability, character, and economic well-being of the bride's and bridegroom's family, etc.

Moreover, there may be family-specific values and worries...people tending not to give their daughters in marriage to people of far-off places, a mother-in-law looking for a docile bride, etc.

I have seen many cross-border marriages---even marriages with Dari speakers....

because there is war in their own country.

its not too far fetched to think pakistanis are going to start living in refugee camps in Afghanistan soon.
