and in its crude form you can call that common sense, going a step farther people should be more tolerant and respectful of what others believe
I would respect that. But if people want to celebrate said holiday, please don't say your Muslim. Am not judging others, but Muslims are suppose to be one people, one nation. It seems alot of "Muslim" countries still hold tightly to their old traditions, or in this case, the traditions of neighboring peoples.

Muslims have two Eids, and every Friday which suppose to be like a holiday. Theirs nothing wrong in noticing that Spring is here, but the celebrations and stuff, is unnecessary.

King Khan stop embarrassing yourself..you know as much about Zarthosht as you do about Pashtun history. Nor sharmawall khwand na kaee. If you want to say it is un-islamic that is one thing...but to make those sweeping comments about Pashtun history and zoroastrianism is a tad much.

Again King bro you have no right to call anyone a muslim or otherwise, and neither can you be the judge of someone's character..If a person chooses to call himself a muslim and eat pork and commit all sorts of sins, the best you can do is to approach him and explain the situation in a calm manner and educate him..the rest is his choice

Similarly, if there are people who wish to celebrate Nowroz, you cannot despise them for it..If you think that this is a false tradition you have every right not to practise it yourself but you haven't been given the right to even judge those who celebrate it let alone stop them
It's enough that I know, Our time had a home, In your heart..Was a place..But the glass always breaks..

how the holy Persia am I embarrassing myself! Did not this come from Zoroastrianism? Did this come from Pashtun land or their neighbors? Am sorry your brain dead, and accept whatever that goes in between your ears

Your damn right I was GIVEN the right to try to stop this BS feast. If People wanna feast with their family do so, but not in the name of the first day of Spring. Which has roots from the preislamic days of Ignorance.

These are exactly the same people(s) that will follow the Dajjal. Should I just leave them alone? Am I flockan trolling, when am trying to recuperate my supposedly people.

so like would you drop on the floor and turn in to black smoke if you act united for once in your bloody life by congratulating each other in one God damned thread rather than each one of you making one up for your self???

I am no bird, and no nest ensnares me.

non commercial would cost less if he was in charge himself which he plans on doing. right now it's n herat but soon it will be in qanadahar.

KingKhan is a Bangali...I wonder how come a foreigner comes and lectures you on what is suitable for you culture and what not. If I were on a Bangali forum, I would have never done things they know better...I think one should be sensitive to other people right to decide for themselves. I think cultural issues are a sensitive and one should be sensible enough not to be intrusive.

I am even against Pashtuns of KPK commenting on this.

KingKhan, zoraostrianism is not persian, it is a religion that has influenced the turkic world and the Iranic world (which the Pashtuns are a part of). Prior to us embracing Islam we were heavily influenced by Zoroastrianism, Buddhism and most probably shaman/pagans. Zoroaster was most probably a Bactrian and those people have had a shared influence on the region (from tajiks, to Pashtuns, etc). I am not saying these are right, but these are historical facts. BTW the closest people ethno-linguistically to Pashtuns are the Pamiri Tajiks and the Ossetians. Second of all, a Pashtun is not a fake if he/she is of another religion...our ancestors were not muslims...so were they fake? Can a fake ancestor spawn a pure progeny? That is illogical. You need to stop with your pointless rhetoric and pick up a book (or two) on the greater region. When you do that, then kindly come back.

BTW...what is a cold-blooded Pashtun? Last I checked we are mammals hence warm-blooded...is this some magical power you have?

First darn right am Cold blooded, and I am capable of magic power. I don't want it to turn to a history class, but Pashtuns are NOT Persians. If you go back thousands of years ago, the Persians come from the Babylonians/Mesopatamia area. Pashtuns, and other South Asians come from the Indus river civilization. Then to the Ghandara civilization, whose descendants are Pashtuns/Hindko's, and the Dards.

Here's a quick read from Wiki"
The celebration has its roots in Ancient Iran. Due to its antiquity, there exist various foundation myths for Nowruz in Iranian mythology. In the Zoroastrian tradition, the seven most important Zoroastrian festivals are the six Gahambars and Nowruz, which occurs at the spring equinox. According to Mary Boyce,"
