Nouruz, simply means new day in pashto "nevy wraz",

Its the start of new year in Afghanistan, while you in british slaves in pakistan (not pashtuns and baluch) follow the Georgian calendar, we follow the solar Islamic calendar. go suck on that idiot.

While you celebrate the christian new year in pakistan, we celebrate "Hijri Shamsi", which is islamic. you so ignorant that your not worth my time.

and nouruz is celebrated by all "Iranic" people. kurds, lurs, persians, tajik, and even by non iranics like turks and kazakhs, you have no clue where nouruz comes from. Nouruz predates "persian" identity.

        go read some books man.
        make that Iranic Aryan

anyone who says it a Persian culture really needs to go and read some history books.

Regardless of history, you celebrating Nawroz has nothing to do with were it comes from, rather which people celebrate it. Its not Pashtun and thats all you need to know. you speak Persian so i have nothing against you celebrating your new year but see it ridiculous from people which constantly attack pashtuns in pakistan for having indic traits but then do exactly what they are against themselves. ridiculous.

Real Pashtuns are probably laughing their assess off seeing you guys celebrate Pakistans Independence day.

Who are real persians? can you describe that to me?

Nawroz is something indengious unlike the Arab festivals you celebrate.

Respect traditions of the regions dude, they have outlived you.

This is a stupid Zoroastrian Persian holiday which should not be celebrated by Afghans. Were suppose to be Muslims.

Real Persians are laughing at us, they invaded Afghanistan, without firing one shot.

Real Pashtun holidays are Eid. Since Pashtuns are Muslims, and not Zoroastrian.

                          Why is that?

Nowruz is said to to started by Zoroaster, and its root is from Zoroastrian religion. It's not Afghan meaning it wasn't started in Pashtun territory (South to East Afg/ KP/ FATA/ Baluchistan)

And for religious sake it's haraam. The Prophet did not continue to celebrate the Pagan holidays after Islam.

Your in Herat, which was Persian city for the longest of times, it's ok for you to celebrate it. For other Pasthuns, they should have some shame.

I dont get it, even a simple new years holiday thread is subject of scrutiny and discrimination on this forum

I wonder if they have a day where they remind people of "common sense"
It's enough that I know, Our time had a home, In your heart..Was a place..But the glass always breaks..

What do you mean Common Sense? For Afghans to sit and get Acquiesced? On top of that Muslims should not celebrate the holidays of Pagans. If that's the case might as well celebrate Christmass, Passover, Hannukkah.

^ King humans have a god given right to make their own choices and choose their own beliefs and paths

What right can someone else have to dictate what the other does ?

and in its crude form you can call that common sense, going a step farther people should be more tolerant and respectful of what others believe
