P.S. It isn't just a persian new year...it is celebrated by the entire central Asia.

Manzerah, Nawraz is a big part of Afghan culture... its no different than the way that the Pashtuns on the other side of the line have augmented certain wedding customs. We do not delineate the other months of the Persian calender and replace Ramadan or other important periods with Persian holidays.

Not in the northern Pakistan region though.

Pashtun should be embarrassed celebrating Persian holidays. For religious sake, this holiday comes from Ancient Persia, and is probably polytheistic in nature.

Pashtuns need to keep their cultures and stop being influenced by those poisonous Iranays.

Actually the Afghan New Year is celebrated in some parts of FATA (especially Parachinar, Kurma) and northern Pukhtunkhwa (all of Chitral and surrounding area).
