Unforunately, Pashtuns are at the very core of Pakistan's security apparatus let alone the foot soldiers.
O'faithful hearken thy vezir, for he promises them another Gandamak and for the ancestors of Hari Nalwa a similar fate has been sealed. We shall shake the foundations of their inner sanctums, written in gold and immortal will remain this endeavor of Afghans.

and fo your information who said this is going to be war and than again you put your favourite india in your post to somhow attach india to afghanistan and claim to be fighting against the so called muslim pakistan.
india has more muslims than pakistan!

and the so called pashtuns in napak army are already used to kill pashtuns in pukhtunkhwa and they are extremely brainwashed in the name of islam and pakistan.
so far brainwahsed that they are killing their own people to serve pakistan but again to serve american interests and get their salary from america and israel.

Pakistan can and are able to destroy Afghanistan, despite what she looks like Pakistan is still pushing its ballistics agenda very hard.

For you to say that Afghanistan is able to destroy Pakistan is a mere illusion albeit misguided.

Pakistani Army is pre-dominently Punjabi...i.e., more than 80% ...The rest are other ethnicities at the top Urdu-speaking Mahajrs in the officer rank followed by Pashtuns maximum 7%. The elite regiments and units of Pakistan Army are Punjabi....FFR is the only unit that is assumed to be Pashtun...but even that is not purely Pashtun although there are more Pashtuns in the FFR units compared to other units.

These FFR units are also lightly armed mostly APCs...

The only two Pashtun chiefs of staff in the history of Pakistan army have been General Gul Hassan Khan and General Waheed Kakar. Even General Waheed Kakar is not considered to be a proper Pashtun because he was bilingual in Hindko and Pashto with Hindku being his first langauge. General Ayub Khan was a Hindkuwan of Hazara. General Yahya Khan was also a Qazlbash with Persian/Hindko his first language.

Anyboy wanting to know the actual proportion of Punjabis-versus Pashtuns in Pakistan army should read "The Pakistan Army" by Stephen P. Kohen.
