I sort of disagree with you.
With due apology I would like to bring it in your kind notice that your this sentence is the epitome of the whole Pashtun men mentality and their male chauvinism. IF THE MEN WANT THEIR WOMEN......Why men should want for their women, why women cant want for themselves,,,,,,are women animals, or babies that their men masters will choose for them their dress?????. This is so pathetic that even we dont let the women to decide what to wear and what not.Forget about other important political, economic, social and legal issues.

Whats the difference between men and women mentally and spiritually? Notrhing ..there can be women more intelligent than men and vice versa. Not that being woman is a weakness. An educated woman is far better than an uneducated man. What matter is the person not the gender. We have to launch a huge campaign to gender sensitize our Pashtun men.

Physically or biologically a woman may be different than man but there is very little difference. Still a healthy woman is far better than an unhealthy man. As I said this is person to person not man to woman.

She don't wear a burqa but one of those scafs that women wear in Swabi,Peshawar etc.
My dear friend you know whats the main problem here. The lack of mutual confidence between a Pashtun man and Pashtun woman. If you love your partner and have confidence then if people look at her or him, it makes no difference. You give full love to your boy friend or girl friend or wife or husband , make each other satisfied in all aspects from sex to livelihood, from emotional to biological need etc etc and then there will be no case of disloyalty or cheating. If your life partner goes alone to men and women mixed gatherings or job nothing will happen because you have conquered her/his body, mind and soul.

Just covering her with burka or a sheet of cloth is not guarantee that she will be safe. If there is no love she or he can do any thing even if you keep him or her in a house with 7 circles of walls of iron. How a sheet of cloth can protect her.......!

          Welcome to PF.

I meant to say in the way that if my women wants to go outside wearing a bikini, I will not allow it. I will only allow something that I like and I will explain my logical reason behind it.

I never said there is a difference. No one here said that.

A women is naqis ul aqal.
Please note wording like MY WOMEN....we have to change our mentality towards Pashtun women. They are not OUR WOMEN ..they are women and may be we have a relation of girl friend, wife, sister, mother daughter etc ,,but they are not our property or our servants that we will use them as we want or we will allow them as we wish. There should be a mutually respectable and equal relationship. Not they we men allow them to do what we wish and they will not allow us that what they wish we do.

If the women want to go in bikini then thats her wish and we should respect her wish. If you wnat to go out in shorts then you go out with out bothering whether she wants it or not. have you ever asked your wife etc what should you wear what not?

This is very strong language that you will only allow what you want. Where goes her wish being an equal human being? And in wishes and wants there is no logic and there is no reason. Heart has a reason which reason cant understand.

You never said that there is a difference between woman and man but you allow them what they should wear what not. Here is the difference of master and servant. And again you very clearly said that woman is naqis ul aqal i.e short of wisdom and men not. This is the difference.

Do you think a woman like Malalai, or Benazir Bhutto, or Indra Gandhi or Magret Tatcher or Mother Teresa or Hazrat Ayesha or Hzrat Fatma being hust from the gender of female are Naqis ul Aqal and an illiterate man born in the mountanins of Kunarh being just a man is not Naqis ul Aqal.........? What a strange conclusion. Please revise your approach to Pashtun or any woman and consider her your equal fellow not your servant.

Emotional , sentimental, and love is something else and a material, social relationship is some thing else. If a boy and girl wish each other what kind of clothes the other wear is something emotional. I wish my girl friend wear this kind of clothes , this color, etc and she wishes that I wear this kind of clothes because she likes to see me this way then its a mutually acceptable decision and just fulfilling two lovers wish. Its totally different from obligation and ordering one that you must wear this or that.

Naka na yaara to na pio gi.
we live in a village and women MUST cover themself.
I give her freedom but she MUST cover herself.
If she goes out uncoverd then she will be like a eye candy for the men.

And I am a Boy so I don't have Boyfriends or Husband.

I only support a burqa if a woman herself supports it, if its out of her own freewill. No man in my family forced any of our woman to wear burqa. Both my grandmothers wore one, but my grandfathers never told them to wear it, they chose to do it themselves.

                                oosho,
we must defend our nang and honor.

we can't have our wives become public property.

                                it's unacceptable.
