Wait, a donkey actually makes sense in its own context and the uneducated may grasp lessons lost on the bookish, so even that comparison is lacking.

Perhaps, you ought to have given Afghan King Amanullah some of your advice as well regarding veiling and gotten him thrown out even quicker. After all, it was his single act of unveiling his wife in the vale of Qandahar that created a homegrown insurgency against him:

            1928 Amanullah promulgates further far-reaching
            westernising reforms
Queen Soraya appears unveiled in public
November: serious uprising near Jalalabad and
            Kabul
            1929 January: Amanullah abdicates; brother
Inayatullah King for three days before abdicating
Tajik warlord Bacha Saqao takes throne in Kabul
July: General Nadir Khan (descendant of Dost
Mohammed) returns to Afghanistan and defeats
            Bacha Saqao; is declared King.
            Many of Amanullah's reforms rescinded

Here is an interesting quote about the outcome of an organization that attempted to impose your and your acolyte's (Lawanaay) vision by force onto Afghans:

"The association had drafted a political platform and was ready to participate in upcoming parliamentary elections when its activities were interrupted by widespread opposition to Queen Soraya's campaign, begun in 1928, to unveil and emancipate women. The association was closed down shortly thereafter."

            Quoting from:

Bottom line Roadrunner: You are obviously not the real roadrunner because Wyle E Coyte would have made a tasty meal out of you per the intellectual slowing you so clearly demonstrate.

So.. did Pashtuns suddenly appear on earth in 1929, or is there a longer history than 100 years during which Pashtun traditions were formulated?

Can you get Johnny Depp to dress like George Washington? Or do you have more oral diarrhea to put out yet? For that matter, can you get Admin Khan or any of the Americans on here to dress like the Americans of the late 1800s victorean era? How about Adam Yusufzai in Britian... have you gotten him to wear a top hat, most recently worn in the early 1900s of Britian?

Or what about those redcoats that the British Army abandoned?

See Roadrunner, your agenda, we have seen, is no different than that of Toramana, Baygham, Osho, or any other cookie cutter ANPer:

              1. Its just another idea that KP Pashtuns float that they seem to think is better for the Pashtuns on the Afghan side of the border, despite having separate and disparate histories. Make up your minds, do you want the Qandharyaan to dance in hujraay or do you want us to live under shariah. to Its interesting how the Afghans have to be the experimental tool for every idea that comes out of there.

              2. Your rabid anti Arabism does nothing for reality. Last set of occupying armies I saw in the books were in this sequence: Americans --> Russians --> british --> Mughals/Iranians --> Genghish Khan --> Persian sunni governor who won the war that the Arabs could not win.

So now, somehow these subsequent groups earn no ire from your ilk, but the Arabs get 100% of the fire, despite the fact that there continues to not be and had not been a sustainable Arab occupation for about as far back as you claim an indigenous Pashtun culture.

And while you are at it, ask Toramana and the rest of em why Peshawaris no longer wear the turbans of their ancestors? It appears that the tribal belt folks and the Afghans are not ashamed to wear their turbans on non wedding days... Perhaps that is the issue you ought to address as the KP mainlanders shed the turban much more recently than this mysterious shift to burqaa that you propose.

And dont post random picture from some town in Swat to prove that turbans are still worn by 80 year old men. I was there in Peshawar in the early 2000s and was told directly that the Qandhaar turban stood out like a sore thumb.

So work on getting Johnny Depp to wear what George Washington wore and I might award you some points.

Till then, you and your group are no different than the Civil War re-enactors I grew up around in the Bible Belt, longing for the days of yore, all the while the world and its realities pass you by.
