          Then don't do it Khor.
Wear something respectful without showing your butt and being a eye-candy for the men.
Who ever do that no nalaat ti be.

I always wondered about this no gold/silk thingie ... why can't men wear silk or gold or silver?

There are hadith reports that say that humans (both men and women) shouldn't even DRINK in gold or silver utensils! Bukhari and Muslim go into strenuously detailed narrations about them. Al-Nawawi goes into similar details about them.

I mean, not that I understand why wearing it should be haraam for men, but why not DRINKING in them? ...

And are there any exceptions? Or are men NEVER allowed to wear ANY gold or silver or silk no matter WHAT? What about rings and such? (According to my Quran teacher at a mosque here, rings are okay. They just can't wear them as "jewelry" the way women do.)

Thanks, but I believe I know what's better for myself than you know for me, wrora And I know how to keep men away from myself as well. So don't you worry.

I was only saying - you as a human have NO right to send laanat upon anyone. That's all. Just because you don't like jeans, doesn't mean all humans should avoid them, kana?

AND I' think it'd be just too pitiful for ANY female to stop wearing jeans just 'cause you cursed her, lol. Like, "Don't wear jeans, then, if you don't want me to curse you for wearing them" LOL. C'mon, man

Yeah, that's what I was talking about. According to a teacher of mine, that's acceptable :| I mean, it's one thing to say don't wear them because that's just not meant for "men" but is only for "women" (Gosh, all this gender stuff, lol... norms and whatnot) but it's a WHOLE different realm to make them absolutely haraam or to deny them HEAVEN just 'cause they wear gold of any kind!

                  Get this:

                  al-Muslim, Book 24, hadith # 5223 reads:
"Anas b. Malik reported that Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) wore a silver ring on his right hand which had an Abyssinian stone in it, and he kept its stone towards the palm."

Now, we know that back then, this whole deal of men and women wearing wedding rings didn't exist. So... yeah . . .

                  BUT:

"Anas b. Malik reported that one day he saw on the finger of Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) a silver ring, and the people also made silver rings and put them on. Then Allah's Apostle (may peace be upon him) threw his ring away, and so the people also threw away their rings" (hadith # 5220). :|
                  Wah.

calling yourself a muslim and pashtun and then wearing tight jeans showing off your body and figure for all the men in streets.

And so I'm gonna assume that you're a Muslim who does EVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVERYTHING Islam commands AND a Pashtun who NEVER goes against Pashtunwali. Would that be correct?

Means, you never miss ANY prayer, you NEVER curse, you NEVER lie unless your life depends on it, you NEVER upset your parents, you NEVER cheat, you know Arabic well enough to be able to understand what you read in the Quran (which is sent for guidance, not mere chanting), you do not use force to get someone to do what you want them to do OR to have them "follow Islam" your way, NEVER insult or threaten or abuse anyone because it might upset them and God doesn't want Muslims to upset other people, you do EVERYTHING the Prophet did because he was the paragon of excellence and perfection and you follow him, NEVER waste your time, NEVER get online when you don't need to, NEVER look at a female unless by mistake, always smile at people because it increases your faith, have enough money to go on hajj and you've gone at least once in your life so far, you fast all thirty days of Ramadan never missing any unless absolutely necessary, always give charity if you're able to, and so on. Correct?

Also, just because it's not Islamic to YOU doesn't mean it's REALLY un-Islamic or should be un-Islamic to ALL Muslims.

And, no, you do NOT have the right to *send curses* upon other human beings just because they don't do what you think they should be doing. Please tell me who gave you this right and why I should believe this.

If that's the case, can I please, PLEASE send curses upon ALL those Muslims who don't follow Islam the way I think they should be following it? No WONDER the Taliban and other Muslim terrorists are killing us! They are SO convinced they're on the "right" path that anyone who impugns their way of thinking and fighting for (their) "Islam") should be killed!

Well Khor, I don't lie, cheat or do anything to upset someone and When I am free then I pray.
But these are basic things in Islam and Pashtun culture, You don't wear tight clothing and show off your figure to the men on the streets.
...I hope you don't pray in Tight jeans aswell.

This is not about tight jeans or tight shirts. This is about self-respect. You
can wear the loosest clothes there are, if you have no respect for yourself,
it all goes down the drain. This is about the way you carry yourself, about the
way you are and the aura you have. You can wear loose clothes and yet fall
victim to male disrespect (and by disrespect I mean flirting, hitting on etc.)
just because of the insecure aura you have. And likewise, you can wear fitting
clothes (by fitting I mean clothes that are your size and don't look like they
were painted on..or like you're wearing your fathers pants) and STILL have
men respect you just because of WHO you are. Because of the way you carry
yourself, the aura you have and the self-respect you have. People can feel
                          that vibe from miles away.
It works wonders, the brothers here probably do know what I mean. Men
have a hard time dealing with or even approaching women with a strong
personality - because they feel intimidated.

                                Please brother, have some respect.
I do not show off my body - I do not need to. And any girl who does is in need of attention.
My point is that if you do not have self-respect and confidence, you will still fall victim to all these men, no matter HOW you dress.
