The point of "modesty" is to make sure you don't look "attractive" to the opposite gender, Master Khana So if males are going to think females look much better, more attractive in shalwar kamees, then the females should NOT wear those to make sure they don't grab the men's attention.

    No?

I think girls with t-shirts and jeans look modest and beautiful. It's my favorite outfit on girls.

^the point of modesty is not avoiding attention. it's avoiding the negative attention.

But Master khan wror, thats not the point Q was trying to make....you say a women should be modest and wear salwar kameez right? but its attractive to you, then what sort of modesty is that? Modesty tells someone they are lowering their gaze, and keeping themselves covered, and do not want that attraction from the opposite sex. So whats this thing about a women looking attractive in covered clothing?

Do i wear jeans? Yes i do. Do i wear shirts (sleeves)? yes i do. Do i consider myself somewhat modest? Yes i do. Wanna know why? Because i dont go around wondering if a man is looking at my curves, hips, and chest and being impressed. I can honestly tell you, that is the least on my mind, in fact, it does not even come up. But i would totally hate it if someone said i looked attractive in my salwar kameez. Then i would be like, whats the point of being covered, that does not seem to fulfill its purpose.

If i wanted to look attractive and get attention from men, then i would wear a halter top, a mini skirt, flashy earrings, massive amount of makeup, with the strongest perfume smell. However, that is not me.

I think by wearing skinny jeans/booty shorts, sleelveless shirts you are creating trouble and problems for yourself. Every guy that passes by will think negatively about you.

            Get it?

Nope. Absolutely not. Everything doesn't revolve around how guys think about girls, bro There's much, much more to life.

And thanks, MFD, for clarifying my point :D Bless your heart!

Let them wear what ever they want.
When I see a girl in Salwaar Kameez and scaf, I think to myself "her family is respectful and good", But in Tight jeans and T-Shirt..no.

No one ever said booty shorts was considered anywhere to close to modesty, its about jeans.

^I dont consider certain jeans being modest at all especially when your behind is showing.

My views always change on this.
