Alexander wrote a letter to his mother :While in fight with Pukthuns in Arachosia ( now Kandahar ) and said " I am involved in the land of leonine ( Lion like) brave people, where every foot of the ground is like a well of steel, confronting my soldiers.[/][B]You have brought only one son into the world, but every one in this land can be called an Alexander

Legitimacy aside, why is it desi manipulation?
Even Adobe Photoshop can't change me.

A line[Durrand line] of hatred that raised a wall between the two brothers -Hamid Karzai

For generations, the Hindus of India prayed for deliverance from "the venom of the cobra, the teeth of the tiger and the vengeance of the Afghan."

The men of Kábul and Khilj also went home; and whenever they were questioned about the Musulmáns of the Kohistán (the mountains), and how matters stood there, they said, "Don't call it Kohistán, but Afghánistán; for there is nothing there but Afgháns and disturbances." Thus it is clear that for this reason the people of the country call their home in their own language Afghánistán, and themselves Afgháns. The people of India call them Patán; but the reason for this is not known. But it occurs to me, that when, under the rule of Muhammadan sovereigns, Musulmáns first came to the city of Patná, and dwelt there, the people of India (for that reason) called them Patáns—but God knows!

Because of such false idea of grandeur and paranoia Pashtuns are suffering and are one of the most dilapidated and downtrodden nation of the world. If Alexandar wrote it , it was to portray his own achievements that he defeated such a brave people and crossed through their lands to India.

Also let us take it far granted that Pashtuns were brave but at that time the standard was different. Now for a superpower like US or European Union or China rules of the game are totally different.

Where are these brave Pashtuns who even do not have their own homeland? Even in Pakistan they are divided into 4 units, Pashtunkhwa, Balochistan, Tribal areas and Nyazis in Punjab. Karachi is the city with the most population of Pashtuns. In Afghanistan they do not have real power. Their language is no where used in the true sense to be a language of media, business and international relations.

Let us focus on our pitfalls and come out of the nostalgia and be realist to be really a great nation in the comity of nations. No doubt Pashtuns do have some great distinguishing features but these are to be used in a positive way not in a destructive ways of drugs and terrorism.

Its desi manipulations because Toramanas narrative is that the desis are telling pashtuns to continue the fight.

Pashtuns don't have a homeland? Malgara you are making us appear as if we are Palestinians.

What is the name of the homeland of Pashtuns?

If the answer is Afghanistan then Afghan according to the constitution of Afghanistan is not only Pashtun but any one living in Afghanistan who may be Tajik, Uzbek, Hazara etc. Population of Pashtuns in Afghanistan may be 50 to 60%.

If the answer is Paksitan then Pashtuns are only about 15% of the population of Pakistan and still divided in many units.

If the answer is Pashtunistan then it is just a word used in Internet forums or in some history books. Physically it does not exist anywhere.

You may not wonder at least about me as I have lived in Pashtun watan for years and years and am regularly visiting there at least once in a year.

If they ever do, they would realize that pashto has made a huge comeback in both afghanistan and pakistan. Badlan's version of a brave pashtuns were pashtuns like Najib and Karmel who created criminals like Dostom.

Using predicate logic, quantitative logic, boolean algebra, you name it and I can prove that you what you just said above is incredibly illogical. Just because Afghanistan is not 99.9999999999999999999999 percent Pashtun does NOT negate the fact that Afghanistan explicitly means the land of the Pashtuns, and that even that very language Pashto in which you converse in daily is known as Afghani according to many dictionaries. These are hard concrete facts. Afghanistan is about ~65 percent Pashtun according to WAK foundation. Today, the world is becoming dynamic, it's no longer static. We do not live in a world(except South Korea)where 99.9 percent is of the same ethnic group.

If the answer is Paksitan then Pashtuns are only about 15% of the population of Pakistan and still divided in many units.
Pakistan to Pashtuns is what Italy is for Pashtuns, both are foreign countries.

If the answer is Pashtunistan then it is just a word used in Internet forums or in some history books. Physically it does not exist anywhere.
The answer is the Pashtun homeland, from Kandahar to Peshawar, from Kabul to Mingora.
