Dear all,
Just recently, in the latest episode of bans, and according to Tor_Khan's thread, it appears a new member Al-Hanif has been banned. Yes, he did unfortunately make some racist comments, but when you look into the context of why he did, it becomes apparent that he did so in retaliation. Toramana has not been banned for the same exact violation of racism.
Toramana had previously made several unchecked racist comments against Arabs (an apparent front for hatred against Islam), yet the moderation of this forum did not take any action. It appears that action was only taken in a very selective manner when Al-Hanif, unfortunately did the same back. Read the first posts here http://www.pashtunforums.com/politic...eel-usa-21605/
When an Admin or moderator has double standards in regards to enforcing rules, then from an academic and neutral perspective, they no longer ought to be permitted to moderate this forum.
Toramana has not been banned, Al-Hanif has. For a moderator to then claim that no one reported Toramana's posts is false since the whole thread is a back and forth between Toramana and Al-Hanif. The fact that such a moderator will be alert at some posts but not at others warrants this forum to cast light on whether the moderator who banned Hanif is fit to moderate this forum anymore.
Having said all this, this is an objection that needs to be raised. When a moderator is selective in applying the rules, banning Al-Hanif for a violation, but not Toramana for the same violation, a clear bias has been shown. As such, whether the moderator is capable to moderate this forum fairly is in question.
Lets also cast light on the simple fact that members such as Toramana are in no way a reflection of Pashtuns at all. In the southern Pashtun strongholds of Kandahar, Islam and pashto preceded everything. Al-Hanif would be more at home there then the likes of characters like Toramana. This is the truth, and truth hurts.
At the end, I think it best that there be a serious discussion about the moderation and administration of this forum. We need fair moderators, and ones who have broken the rules of moderating without bias can no longer moderate.
Whichever moderator did this needs to step down. I am not sure which moderator it is, but you have shown yourself to be incapable of moderating this forum. I would urge the forum moderators and Administrators to make a collective decision in regards to this
If you have bias, then step down, and participate as others, but you can not moderate or Administer this forum.
Kind Regards
