Thanks Fahd, yes. Such people can go start a different thread and make arguments.
Why to interrupt or attempt to sabotage a thread intended to be helpful?
Many people from anywhere in the world may be interested, those who care about history. They don't need to see all this bickering.
You got the right idea exactly that Amin will not change just because of living in France.
After all, he had visited the US and France probably too earlier. It was not some revelation to be transplanted to a Western society. He was already cultured and educated.
It was not a choice, either, for him to relocate. It was only the dire situation of having received very serious death threats and the advice of his lawyer which made him opt for La Belle France.
Probably he cannot say too much one way or the other. This is what I bet. Only after Afghanistan becomes free, and he could return, then we will hear exactly his opinions.
After all, if he or anyone in a delicate situation as a recipient of ASYLUM - not ordinary immigration - has to remain neutral. At least, this is the diplomatic way to handle a possibly precarious situation.
Let's look at the fact that the news today, Oct 20, 2010, says that Saudi intelligence services alerted France in specific of some sort of high level plot from the supposed dread terror group which is that magic term to create panic in all Westerners. Hence in my opinion, it's probably a "cry wolf" situation where nothing will actually happen.
But the fear can be tapped into by various govts. to increase support for stern measures in Afghanistan and the region. Very convenient timing, one can always observe.
Speaking of timing, I will need a few more days.
Never fear, the ongoing little essays will be here!
