yes i am wardak... but i swear i am not saying this because i am from there. i have met Afghans from every corner of Afghanistan. I havent found such good people like majority of wardaks are...

They are just an example of how Afghan/Pashtoon SHOULD be.

Sorry i am not the type of pashtun whose main focus is pakistan. I just expressed by observation, i can be wrong.

They may be not exactly like tajiks but they r certainly different frm pashtuns of KP.

I have seen lot of ghiljays in my life, they have typical pashtun facial features. Similarly all pashtuns in afghanistan that live adjacent to FATA and those of kandahar have typical pashtun features. but these wardaks look different.

But for now, I want to recommend the great book by Amin Wardak "Memoires de Guerre".
Several of the photos here were taken from that.

This family is SO HEROIC and SO SPECIAL, all Afghans must be immensely proud of them!

I don't know why no one [except me in one thread discussing Massoud as national hero] has brought them up.

Amin Wardak should have been some very high office if the Americans were "for real". But the fact that he is in a Parisian exile shows how fake the entire Kabul govt. is.

About the book I don't know how to do that myself.

It's a great idea, though.

It's in French but in a very readily comprehensible style. It's very well done. Thank God it got into print, as it's that rare commodity: a truthful account!
And a valuable resource for a tumultuous epoch of critically important Pashtun History.

Yes, you can barely find a wardak who can't speak both languages... but their mother tongue is Pashto and they have one of the purest and most beautiful dialects in the country. and their pashto is very difficult as well.

I must say that wardaks seem very beautiful people, they have very balanced and pleasant features.

Wardaks are very very beautiful people. Their features are very balanced as you said... but they are very conservative as well so u can barely find a wardak woman's/girl's picture anywhere. their beauty is not out in public.

Wardaks are very very humble people... they are very hard working and very intelligent. they believe more in work than show. they may be the most patriotic people and may have done enormous amount of work for Afghanistan, but they rather keep it low key. Very honorable people... in general!
