    Simply put look at the map above, from the Black sea region were the first group of Indo-Euruopeans, obviously they all spoke one language, culture etc.. Hence the similarities.
    the problem is the time period, Greeks first came to south Asia with Alexander in around 300 BC, while the Indo aryan invasion migration occurred some 3000 years ago or more, which is well before Greeks came to the region

    The two are no way related

    Now it is possible that aryans existed when greeks came, I think they even named afghanistan as Ariana, which means aryans could have existed there at that time

      Either your not reading my post above and below or your ignoring facts and in denial.

      The starting point of Aryans were black sea/Ukrain region.

      The Nooristani people already settled in Afghanistan as probably the first wave of Aryan peoples with their 'macedonian culture", followed by pashtuns.

        ^ you are mixing indo europeans with indo aryans, the fact is (aryan) word was only used in Iran, Afghanistan, North west India, It was never used outside this region. I dont know why are you bringing macedonian culture in, what do they have to do with aryans? Did Greeks or macedonian ever use the word "aryan" please prove this. In none of the greeks books you find the word aryan

        Greeks and Macedonian people are defiantly indo european people, I never denied that, but they never called themselves aryans, only people in Iran, Afghanistan, Northwest India did

          Pashtuns:

          Central/south asian = 46%
          Arabian = 0.3%
          East Asian = 0.8%
          South indian = 24%
          Northern European = 13%
          West Asian/Middle eastern= 10.5%
          Siberian= 2.9%
          Southern European = 0.4%

          ^ so basically majority of the pashtun genes are central/south asian at 46%,

          which is today's afghanistan and pakistan, this makes sense and indicates that majority of pashtun genes are native, however as you can see there is large south indian, middle eastern and even northern european component in them, so this indicates that some of these people's ancestors mixed with different groups too at some time. Overall, all populations of the world are pretty mixed.

          for example look at these other samples from the spreadsheet

          Iranians:

          Central/south asian = 31.5%
          Arabian = 8.2%
          East Asian = 0.6%
          South indian = 3.4%
          Northern European = 5.2%
          West Asian/Middle eastern= 40.9%
          Southern European = 4.1%

          Sindhis

          Central/south asian = 53.2%
          west african: 2.4%
          Arabian = 0.8%
          East Asian = 0.4%
          South indian = 27.5%
          Northern European = 6.2%
          West Asian/Middle eastern= 4.1%
          Southern European = 1.5%

          Balochis:

          Central/south asian = 70%
          Arabian = 3.1%
          East Asian = 0.4%
          South indian = 9.5%
          Northern European = 1.8%
          West Asian/Middle eastern= 6.3%
          Southern European = 4.1%

          Jats and Rajputs punjabis are very similar to sindhis/ pashtuns

          ^ according to the population studied in these charts, sindhis and Burushos seem to be the closest the Peshwari pashtuns, but again it might a bit different depending on different tribes, thats why i agree with a idea to study the head/leaders of each tribe in FATA to indicate (overall) pashtun results

                        ..Three Pakistani populations residing in northern Pakistan, the Burusho, Kalash and Pathan claim descent from Greek soldiers associated with Alexander's invasion of southwest Asia.

                        ..The most striking feature of this network was the sharing of haplotypes between the Pathan and Greek samples (Figure 4).

                        ..Among the three Pakistani populations claiming Greek descent, this clade was observed only in the Pathans. The Pathan samples belonged to clade E3b1 that constituted 17% of the Greek samples.

                        ..The Pathans were the only population among the three that claim Greek ancestry in which clade E was present.

                        Nevertheless, Alexander's army of 25 000–30 000 mercenary foot soldiers from Persia and West Asia and 5000–7000 Macedonian cavalry perhaps provides a more likely explanation because of their elite status and substantial political impact on the region.

                        People of Central Asian are also called as ''Caucasian people''? It has some genetical reasons but it does not means that Chitralis or Nuristanis or anyone has Greec ancestory! It is possible but if it is than you will not be able to filtrate it out. More than 2000 years of migration of new comers changed the genetics. Symbioses caused new varieties. The Greecs stationed 30 000 Macedons and Greecs in Susa, 15 000 in northern Afghanistan and Uzbekistan, 10000 in eastern Afghanistan, region Kapisa, Badakhshan and Laghman and some in modern Peshawar.

                          I wanted to say that these pashtuns don't look like europeans / greeks like apollyon wanted to mean

                          ^ and they dont even look like west eurasians they are too dark and their features are very different

                            apollyon is wrong obviously, no body is pure aryan or pure european etc...

                            however that said, west eurasian is a term coined for both west asia (northern middle east) and Caucasus region of southern Russia, it has been proven genetically that majority of pashtun component, as well as even other people in the region, come from the west eurasia area

                            Pashtuns are roughly 80% ANI, which means 80% of their dna comes from this area, but again ANI genes have been coming to central south asia for the last 12000 years, most of these components are probably not recent, and could be very old, that's why their phenotype has changed a bit, but to be honest there are many pashtuns who can easily fit in the northern middle east area.

                              Oh and all the indians don't look same you know

                              For example, gujaratis are different to bengalis, biharis, punjabis, tamils etc....

                              And brahmins are different to other castes, same for jats, rajputs etc....

                              For example, brahmins or punjabis or people from haryana or himachal are very different to mohajirs of Pakistan ( who generally come from U.P, bihar, si are obviously dark ) .

                                ^ indians are generally dark, doesn't matter where they are coming from be it punjab or bengal. of course indian phenotype is different depending on the region, Punjabies are north west indians, so obviously they will have more influence from outside compared to other areas

                                btw skin colour has nothing to do with genetics, skin colour is mostly effected by the environment
