it's been proven. you probably won't understand so it's difficult to motivate myself to bother.

^ I am surprised by the high south west asian in Kurds, despite being Iranic speakers they are clearly also related to arabs from arabian peninsula

Your mixing some things up. David Polakos Eurogenes projekt is not the same as Dienekes Dodecad. So this means basically Eurogenes Southwest Asian is not the same as Dodecad Southwest Asian. Southwest Asian in Dodecad is Arabian Peninsula, Jordanian related while Eurogenes Southwest Asian is Levant, Mesopotamian, Arabian Peninsula mixed. However Eurogenes is useless compared to Dodecad.

Here are the newest Dodecad K12b results.

It's like trying to explain rocket science to cavemen.
Most likely it was not directed towards people of that time, but to people of our time who do understand this, so as to prove God's existence. There is a lot of religious symbolism in Islam.

There is no such thing as love, in a partner you look for a couple of thing: Beauty, manners, nobility and virtue. If she/he has these then you are attracted to him/her. What you call love is actually an attraction to a person you would like to share children with, not what Hollywood and Bollywood shows.
Also as we are Muslim we understand that if men and women are sexually active before marriage there is more chance of the partners not being satisfied with one another after a couple of years of marriage, also it is more likely you will get stds.

studies by american universities have shown that in the USA people who live together before marriage have FAR higher rates of divorce compared to people who do not. so far as i know of, no one has compared premarital sex and waiting as it relates to marital longevity.

              • So my genetic results are finished on my father's side. I am L342+ and L657-, which puts me in the subclade: R1a1a1b2a1. Anybody else in this subclade? I'm wondering if WTY is worth it to find any more SNP's?

My mother's side is still in progress, but so far I am U5, and apparently, a very strange set of markers that might reveal an entirely new subclade. I've ordered a more thorough test to see where my mother's lineage falls.

A line[Durrand line] of hatred that raised a wall between the two brothers -Hamid Karzai

For generations, the Hindus of India prayed for deliverance from "the venom of the cobra, the teeth of the tiger and the vengeance of the Afghan."

The men of Kábul and Khilj also went home; and whenever they were questioned about the Musulmáns of the Kohistán (the mountains), and how matters stood there, they said, "Don't call it Kohistán, but Afghánistán; for there is nothing there but Afgháns and disturbances." Thus it is clear that for this reason the people of the country call their home in their own language Afghánistán, and themselves Afgháns. The people of India call them Patán; but the reason for this is not known. But it occurs to me, that when, under the rule of Muhammadan sovereigns, Musulmáns first came to the city of Patná, and dwelt there, the people of India (for that reason) called them Patáns—but God knows!

I go through Family Tree DNA service and have joined Subclade projects:

                      R1a1a and Subclades
                      Afghan-Pakistani DNA

This would be the best way because we can automatically compare our results. Also, you can then add GEDCOM files of your family tree (sajara) in it as well to give a comprehensive look at your family tree with Genetic information as well.

Some background on how I went ahead with this hobby:

                      Y-DNA

Six years ago I was part of the Genographic project, which gave me my Subclade, R1a. Then they transferred my swab kit to Family Tree DNA service, which is the largest private DNA testing service. Most of the participants on that site are from Europe and European R1a subclades are very well represented. The Asian subclades are not that well represented yet because there aren't enough people interested. In their data, I am the only one from my subclade represented in Afghanistan. Everyone else is in Central Asia, Pakistan, and Persian Gulf.

From there, I did a more advanced 67 marker test, and after discussing with a few people, they pointed me to the more precise SNP advanced tests (testing L342.2 and L657) to find my subclade. My subclade is still very wide spread, and I'm in the process of creating a surname project to test other Amarkhel members to see how many generations we are separated. My goal is to find out when the Amarkhel tribe split up. There are two big branches right now of Amarkhel.

The ones in Maidan Shar is split into various subtribes:

                      Aladoshkhel
                      Borlkhel
                      Mamikhel
                      Ghundakhel
                      YarKhankhel
                      Yusufzai

The other big branch lives in Nangrahar, where Amar Baba (Amarkhel progenitor) is rumored to be buried. I'm in the process of getting in contact with people from my tribe in this area. This is going to take me a few years to get them to give samples.

                      mtDNA

As for my matrilineal heritage, I first found out my great grandmother, she was from Tarakhel, and not Alakozay like her father. From there I decided to test this lineage and found out I am a very very rare U5 member. U5 are mostly found in Europe so it is exciting for other members in this subclade for me to do more advanced testing to see where I fall. I could be the first member of an entirely new subclade and I'll have my results in late September, or early October. I am using Family Tree DNA for this as well, as it is the most up to date.

In the future, I might test other females of my family to see their heritage. Especially those from my cousins side, who were Hazara from Zardalu village in Kandahar, as well as my step grandmother who is Tajik from Jabul Saraj, and my father's mother, who was Khorot from Maidan Shar.

On top of that, I've already ordered my Geno 2.0 Kit from National Geographic Genographic project which will do a comprehensive analysis to identify 3,000+ genetic markers on the mtDNA. In the case of patrilineal descent, it will also examine 10,000+ markers on the Y chromosome. In addition, for all participants, it will analyze a collection of more than 130,000 other markers from across my entire genome to reveal the regional affiliations of my ancestry, showing which regions my DNA has a lot of affinity. I know already where some of these results will end up, but the fact that it will also check for Neanderthal and Denisovan markers was too good to pass up.

                      • Family Tree DNA service is now having a 72 hour sale for all new customers. This is a good opportunity for those Pashtuns who want to explore their genetic genealogy.

I don't think PF is the correct audience for your genealogical-specific question. I welcome you to join this forum I'm an administrator of, where several administrators of the R1a1a FTDNA Project post.

As far as I'm aware, L342+ L657- is found over much of Asia. L657 appears specific to India and the Arabian Peninsula. You'll have to contact an R1a1a admin on the forum I linked for STR cluster information.

Those highlighted ones are all european components, so in a sense Kalash are up to 26-27% related to Europeans

Their highest component is still (south asian) at 38%, meaning their earliest ancestors must be south asian, but they have 34% west asian also which is basically north middle eastern.

All this clearly shows the waves of different people that came from middle east/europe towards south asia. Kalash are a result of the mix

Pashtun percentages are probably not that different from Kalash because they roughly live in the same region, I will post it once Polako post's the numbers
