Semite does have a meaning, both culturally, linguistically and genetically.

most semites, jews, arabs, berbers belong to the same haplogroups, E1b1(north africa and somalia) and J (j1 in yemen and j2 in syria and levant). semitic languages and berber language belong to afro-asiatic family so they have common linguistic ancestors.

spainish and german are indo european languages closer to iranic and indic languages than berber or other afro asiatic languages.

all the peoples of medditeranians share some common history. only tiny portion of coastal spain has semitic or berber influence in terms of genes. The spainiards are clearly different than berbers as proven by DNA tests. spainiards are R1b while berbers are overwhelminly E1b1, j and some R1b mixture.

Gedrosia(Balochistan) 42%

^ btw the Gedrosia component is also of west Eurasian origin but it is a very old component that came very long ago, thats why it is known as the Baluchistan component

SO basically over all these 22 samples from Peshawar show that pashtuns are good 70% west eurasian, with the rest being mostly south asian
