Most affairs happen between male and female co-workers. This is one reason why women should only be teachers and health care workers for other women. They should never be put in a position where men can take advantage of them. I want our women to be protected. Like I said before 99% want a wife who stays home and takes care of her family so education is a waste. Our boys who will be the bread winners are the ones who need to be educated and learn to do things besides fighting!

Sorry my perception of Afghans is different than you. There are number of people both in Afghanistan and KP who do not allow their daughters to go to schools for religious, social amd financial reasons but saying that this is true for the entire region is completely bizzare and outrageous. Afghan women did not stop earning education even in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa and many of my Afghan friends today are working of higher posts in Pekhawar and have raised from their status of "refugees".And their illetrate parents are more enlightened and visionary than you because they worked hard for two decades to educate both their daughters and sons by doing odd chores in KP. Some of them were engineers and doctors from Afghanistan and when they could not get opportunites to practice their profession, the did not waste a second and started making and selling mantu to earn money to educate their children.

I sayet that not everyone is a caveman like you!

she get money from bait mall almuslimen sadakat
          im don't mind they study
It is what you want, and for me your notion does not count in the grand scheme of things since we are yet to do a survey of Pashtun women whether they want to earn education and pursue careers or do whatever you or your buddies Talibans suggest. If there is no female gynaecologist in Afghanistan-KP, how will talibans allow a male gynaecologist to provide medical care? How will talibans or you allow a female to earn education from male instructors if there are no female instructors? If they do allow, they break their rules in essence and hence the notion that women earning education and pursuing degrees for the reasons you mentioned is voided automatically.
Study without practical experiences is like highly educated Saudi women not having the right to vote even with hijap.

The most important role for a woman is motherhood. This special role that Allaah, Almighty, has created for her, affords her honor and respect in Islam. Where does she fulfill this role? Naturally, in her home. Allaah, Almighty, Says (what means): “And abide in your houses and do not display yourselves as [was] the display of the former times of ignorance…” [Quran 33: 33] Islamweb.net-English There are several obvious guidelines that should be followed if a woman must work: First, she must obtain consent from her guardian or husband (if married), who may offer a broader perspective on how her work may influence the family and its functioning. Secondly, a woman must ensure that her home and children are properly cared for. Her husband may be of assistance in this area, or outside help may be employed. Thirdly, care must be taken to choose employment that is appropriate and fits with her skills. Obviously, any work that deals with forbidden activities, services, or products would not be allowed but there is a world of possibilities available. Forthly, any job that prevents her from fulfilling any of her Islamic obligations, like Hijaab or Prayer for example, is not an option to be considered. Fifthly, while at the job, a woman must maintain her inwardly and outwardly modesty and chastity.

Samin Gul has so far explicitly said that women should not be educated and that dumb women make better wives. Now, we know that dumb wives are stupid and easily manipulated and would fall for everything that their "educated" husbands tell them. (The word educated is in quotes because no educated man would actually ever prefer a non-educated woman for a wife. Never.)

What does that reveal about Samin's assumption about men in general? Does that not mean that men are intellectually inferior to women? Does it not mean that men just can't handle educated women? If this were not the case, Samin wouldn't be intimidated by women's education; he wouldn't be afraid of an educated wife.

Of course, I say all this KNOWING that Samin is here only to fool us and that he is not serious about what he's saying at all. But I wanted to throw that out there just in case.

Oh, and now imagine this, guys:

A book on Pukhtuns gets published in a couple of years from now (Sept. 2010). The author, who claims to be an expert on Pashtuns, argues that Pashtuns generally don't believe in educating women. And guess what ... he uses Samin as the sole example, citing the link to this thread and Samin's first post, perhaps even quoting it directly, saying, "For example, according to Pashtuns on at Pashtunforums.com, dumb women make better wives."

Vala! And then, of course, imagine me writing more than one book in response to that one, arguing exactly the opposite and citing the exact same source.

Personally, what i think is that education for women is very important. A man will always be a man regardless of how literate or illiterate his wife is. But It would be a really darn boring life, with a wife who has no idea of the world around her. So Education wise, primary education must be Islamic, but she may pursue secondary education in a field that she prefers as well.

There is nothing wrong with working as well, with the exclusion of a few profession. Well, a well educated Islamic wife would know herself, what is right and wrong so you don't really have to choose for her. Also, raising the kids is very important as well. From what i have learned and seen, kids whose parents have both been absent during the childhood mostly turn out to be deviants.

This is what i think, don't hate. I just realized how some people can be extremely "strict". wow

Those that think Islam forbids women to aquire wisdom is a fool. Aquireing wisdom is not only everyones right but it is their duty. Women should be educated for they are the ones that educate our children. For the ones that beleive you must protect women from the evils that is in man, preventing them from education doesnt prevent them from that evil. The reason that their is so much promiscuity in the west is not because the women are educated but because men and women are bombarded with the media message of sex and temptation of the flesh, add alcohol and drugs to it and you have an population that is trully ignorant. They forget knowledge and wisdom which is trully what bliss is and they are stuck disillisional state of ignorance which they think is what life is all about. Why do you think Cat Stevens aka yuseph islam left that life because he realized that life isnt about going after the temptation but it is about going after wisdom.

wow i have never heard such stuff from any literate person in today's time. women should not be educated cuz dumb women make good wives ?? well a dumb person is useful anywhere u know, cuz dumb can be easily exploited..that is it.
divorces are common when woman is educated becuase men cant imagine a woman doing better, talking better and earning better than him. i have seen men arguing with a woman even if she is correct just to prove that a woman cant be more logical and wise.
here in swat, pakistan so many women are widowed due to the army operation , so many left without any man in the house and u think the community can support them?? well yes the community and the government SHOULD but it DOES NOT , not in places like Pakistan and Afghanistan so where would such women go?? work at rich people's homes and do their household work right? i am sure such women could have done/would do better if they were/are educated.
