There is NO contention and controversy about Tajik identity and his history. Those in the know, sufficiently LEARNED and educated in history and civilization of near east and central asia, know well the origin of the term "Tajik" and what it stands for.

In fact there is more controversy about the term tazik(tajik) than the term pashtun and afghan.There is enough historical evidences to conclude that the tajiks are the descendants of the Arab bedouins.
