When I read all these posts I think no wonder we are where we are at the moment. Who gives a damn about whos pakhtun and who isn't or whos paki or who isn't and so on. One whos from Lar aw bar pakhtunistan, fully pakhto speaking and follows pakhtunwali is a pakhtun end of story!

I don't even classify myself as pakhtun because that was my past I've got over it and moved on. We being in this dunya forget what we are here for and what our aims are meant to be. Do you guys honestly think we will have pakhtunkhwa or a united pakhtunistan in this state? Its all a distant dream believe me. All this infighting will lead to nothing but more pain, anger and suffering between us. To think we were educated and in the west(There are some of you who are really good masha allah, keep it up). Oh brothers and sisters learn your lessons now while there are still chances.

                    With Due respect luffy.

Pakhtunkhwa and Pashtun areas of Afghanistan need Pashtuns who are educated in the west to return and introduce some kind of benefit. I have noticed here in the UK 100s of Pashtuns who come here for education because their education in Pakistan and Afghanistan is very much corrupted and based on Rishwat.

I dont see any problem with Pashtuns from the West contributing to our development as a Nation because in the west the education is good quality, most of the professors in Pakistan have some training and education history from the West, I know Majors in Pakistan Army who get sent to the UK and America for educational training and developing skills for which they bring back to Pakistan that is why you see Lahore and mainstream areas of Punjab to be very civilised and developed.

If we neglect those who live in the west then what use will it be? The creators of Pakistan and the muslim league at the time had graduates from Western European Universities. Example:Jinnah spent most of his life in UK and got his skills and knowledge from there.

Our region is backward because of education and most of us Pashtuns beleive more in Angels and a person with a beard is seen as the most highest and most pious.

Our people in Pakhtunkhwa are not so free to gain access to information, media is watched by government and freedom to information is very much limited. In the West we can gain access to very much unbiased litrature and we can study both sides of the arguement freely without be harassed or watched by government etc.

                    Kind Regards zama Roara

Some of us take Pashtun Identity very seriously. You have be part of the 50 or so Pashtun tribes to be a Pashtun.

Has nothing to do with faith or lineage. If your part of a Pashtun tribe, then you are a Pashtun other than that people will be seen as confused.

                      Kind Regards

thats why i have requested them on this forum many times to return back to their homelands especially afghanistan to contribute effectively with their knowelgde and skill but they refuse this option every time when i raise this issue.

                            For example,
A son born to Pashtun parents who speaks Dari? Yes he is Pashtun racially but I would beg to differ culturally. If you cant smile to a Pashto joke and you rather ask "What did he say" and you have no efforts in learning the language. I would hesitate to call you a Pashtun. At least show me you care.

                            Another example,
A daughter born to non Pashtun parents who can speak, read and write Pashto. I would hug her and consider her a Pashtun.
A person born to a Pashtun father is, undeniably a Pakhtun. However whosoever( Pakhtun), who can not speak Pashto and does not do Pakhtunwali, he is not a " practising Pakhtun". Example is a Muslim who doent perform prayer, he is termed a " Bad Muslim".

Are you going to call the 2nd option a non-Pashtun and insult our ethnicity by considering the 1st one as Pashtun?
The first condition is pedigree, means, he should be an ethnic Pakhtun/Pashtun. The other qualities excell a person to be a good/ better/best Pakhtun. The second type you mentioned, is not, what means a Pakhtun. It is like giving charity by a Christian and excercising other Muslim virtues without saying "Kalima Tayyaba", you do not call him a " Muslim".

A Pashtun is person who speaks Pashto, follows Pashtunwali, and has common political, economic, social and cultural stakes with Pashtuns.
