I'll have to disagree about the attractiveness of Ghazala Javed. If you're trying to suggest that heer "similarity" to Zarine Khan implies her being attractive.

Believe me there are gorgeous Pashtun girls, but she's not one. in my opinion.

Also, as economist Kaushik Basu says: "For a nation to progress it is important for people to spend time on science, mathematics and literature instead of spending time showing that 5,000 years ago their ancestors did science, mathematics and literature."

Graana-read the whole post I wrote. I don't automatically assume Afghan equates to nice looking. I've seen some butt ugly Afghan women and some gorgeous ones. Same with Indic women.

That's true, and I wasn't suggesting that, however, people of a region tend to have an overlapping set of features.

You're right, I jumped the gun a bit.

I could easily sense her Indicosity (not a word I know), she's got that pudgy Indic face. Granted Pashtun women in the West do tend to be portley, but back home they're lean and and have very pronounced features.
I'm not saying that cause she's pretty. She genuinely looks Pashtun. There are other attractive Bollywood women but she's the only one I can say that could pass as a typical Pashtun.

She looks like some women i know. 2 to be specific. The one she resembles more is pashtana, but in fact there's a fair skinned punjabi i know who resembles her as well.

I didn't want to make this reference, but bears a strong resemblance to Sunny Leone, who is Sikh Punjabi

Sunny Leone is more attractive than the average punju, dude. She's considered attractive (especially for a punju) because she doesn't look like a typical punju.

If you ignore her career of choice, there's no doubt she's attractive. Let's not lie. Porn stars are many times attractive. That's why they're hired her.

You're right about the uniform generics thing. That is the case world over.

But Pashtuns do have a somewhat distinct iranic look. Or they should, rather. Some do look indic for sure.

Identities is surely based on genetics if you look the part. If you don't, and you have no ancestral or cultural connection, saying you are Pashtun is pointless.

There isn't much background on zareen's parents, but it seems they are both "pathan" (wikipedia). That would make her pashtun.

....And her artificial "enhancements"; none the less she looks pretty Desi and Zarine and her could be sisters. On a side note, I don't agree that these tarts tend to be attractive; good make up and what not can do wonders. I will say that this one is a rare exception She was at one time naturally cute (based on what I just googled), beven without her alterations, but she's still within the realm of what I see as Desi. She looks like a typical fair skinned Punjabi or North Indian to me , but you may know more since by just dint of nationality you might encounter them more than I do. I'm just saying there are reasons why Zarine strikes me as more characteristically Indic than Pashtana, obviously opinions differ on this matter.

Well punjabis aren't uniform either if I'm honest. But the overwhelming majority are very Indic and dark skinned. There are fair skinned ones. If i had to guess, I'd say they probably only make 5% of their population (I'm probably being generous).

You're right about the makeup stuff. They all wear makeup. It does wonders no doubt.

Do you have a picture of what in your mind is a typical Pashtun woman?

Like someone who I'd see ...and straight away identify as Pashtana?

Or someone famous. Maybe a famous afghan woman.

There was that zarghuna mangal chick. She looks like benazir bhutto, but younger.

Zarghona Mangal definitelu looks characteristically Pashtun, but most of her pics are caked in make up which make it hard to get a sound representation. There is a young lady I know personally but all her pics seem to show up on google image search which make me very hesitant to show her picture as I don't want to create problems for her.

it's very interesting how you people don't like the idea of your children swimming in the same swimming pool as little boys but then have no problem with sitting on your asses and openly comparing the appearance of your mothers, sisters and daughters with porn stars.
