how you guys view Pashtuns of Punjab,Sindh and North India ? do you consider them your own "Racial" and "Cultural" kin ?

Pashtuns who have integrated in Punjab (like Imran Khan's family line) are still considered Pathans as they're not part of the native clans within Punjab. Same goes for Kashmiris. My mother's family don't really consider themselves Kashmiri but that's how other Punjabis see them. It annoys them when people see them as 'outsiders' when they've been living in Punjab for ages.

I don't consider Indian pathans my kin, if muhajir pathans are a representative of Indian pathans, than I don't consider them pashtuns.

bro in South Asia, if your father is Pashtun than you are also an Pashtun.

your Identity is based on your Fathers Race/Heritage.

same fro brahmins, but brahmin male can only Marry Brahmin/Kashtriya and Veshya Female.

at marriage we have to prove that our last 7 generations were pure Brahmins (from both sides)

generally Full Bloods are considered Pure while Mixed are slightly Inferior. i guess sae for Pashtuns in South Asia.

[QUOTEAham Brahmasmi;802220]even High caste converts were extremely Rare even in non Dharmic lands such as east bengal.

i guess only 1 or 2% Upper castes got converted to Islam (maybe by force) same for kashmir. when afghans conquered it, most of brahmns simply left that region.

just like every South Asian muslim claims Arab/Turk/Afghan/Perisian Heritage, sme way Dalits of kashmir Started claiming Brahmin and Rajput Heritage by wrongly Adopting Brahmin surnames.[/QUOTE]

Kashmiri muslims still keep their Hindu surnames like bhat, wani, dar etc etc.

Even many punjabies have Indic surnames like bhatti, Rana etc etc.

read last line of my post please.

even in Northernmost states like Jammu, HP, Brahmins are just 12%, and ^% in Punjab and 9% In Haryana.

while almost every pakistani/Kashmiri claims Brahmin/Rajput heritage, Brahmin majority Kashmir is a very well known (and sadly) Accepted Myth.

I'm half Punjabi, half Kashmiri. Mixing of races is not an issue in Pakistan at all. Maybe in India to a larger degree because of the importance of caste. But even most Indians I've met are very educated and benign in regards to which caste one belongs to. It's only amongst racists and purists that they care who your mother and father is.
