We have no relation with persains and indains.
Our language might be influenced by parsi words but thats because not much has been done for pashtu.
Also, you can say the duranis are related to tajiks in many ways.
Many duranis do,nt know a word of pashtu and know nothing about pashtun culture.
They feel outsiders among pashtu speakers. They are mixed with tajiks.
Once I was surprised that a sadozai from herat did,nt know who he is?
Later i explain to him everything but still he was not convinced whether sadozai,s original language was pashtu.
Politically duranis are in allaince with tajiks for centuries against pashtu speaking pashtuns such as ghilzais.
Many pashtuns do,nt accept them as a true pashtun anymore even great abdali baba was popalzai-durani.
So i agree on some tribes that they are culturally and linguistically more related to tajiks then pashtun such as duranis.
kindly do,nt take me wrong i have great respect for all tribes.
All originated from same blood.
The problem is that we pashtun never rule our land.
Our kings etc were persainised pashtuns.
The pure pashtuns always been discriminated and were looked down up on by persain speaking advanced pashtuns.
