You can talk about waking up KP Pashtuns..talk about certain Pashtuns having had greed and only concerned about themselves etc but if your living in the west thousands of miles away yourself then you have no right to point fingers. How can you criticise the movement of people when you are not there living life with them, it's hypocritical, you cannot say 'oh those people are happy under British rule' when your most probably wearing western attire and under a western government yourself whilst typing that statement! It doesn't make sense to debate who is more Pashtun and who is not when you are attached into a country that is not Pashtun.

thats true enough but I wasnt even born in pakistan, i was born in the west and i grew up here, most of the contact i have with pashtuns is from my summer holidays when i go back to visit my grandparents and family. I didnt even know there was such a thing as pashtuns until about the age of 14-15 when my father started to tell me of my own history so I amnt really to blame for living in a western country and that also doesnt mean I shouldnt criticise where I see faults. Just to correct I never said anyone was more pashtun or less pashtun i just confirmed the fact that the karlani were not the original sons of Qais but i followed that up by saying that the karlani tribes are today more proper pashtuns then alot of the so called proper "pashtuns" I amnt debating this but the callousness with which pashtuns look upon each other today and I started by criticising my parents tribe not anyone elses. You cant deny that if you go to the NWFP the vast majority of pashtuns are more than happy with the armies murder of pashtuns and some zealously support it. I may wear western attire but thats because its what ive always worn since childhood, but that doesnt mean I shouldnt take an active interest in the ways of my own people, it also prevents important and provocative discussions from being started which force people to look inwards something I hope I can achieve with my "outsider outlook" on what I see happening, which makes me well placed to be most objective about the situation of the pashtun people. If what I say offended you because youre yusufzai, I'm also yusufzai and so are my family so this is criticism of all of them including myself because I see myself as one of them. If we act like old ladies where the slightest criticism raises our hackles and forces us into a corner I think its time for major retrospection regarding our claims to be a great nation. Every great nation has good and bad times, during bad times we need people to point out our mistakes and we have to be willing to accept and realise our mistakes otherwise we will never progress as a nation but we will remain as disunited and backward as ever, as we keep saying,"my grandfather was a king". Pashtuns need to focus less on there history because we all know it was a great history but what counts is what happens today and whether we have a history to tell tomorrow.Last edited by hk1992; 02-01-2014, 07:17 PM.

Tanoli, dilazak and Khattak are Karlani but very good Pakistanis. Hindko speaker Preseident Ayuob was Tanoli. Mohmands, Saapi, Shalman are not Karlani but Sarban and living in FATA. Similarly Bitani like Sherwani are also not Kerlani.
All Pashtuns are equal. No Pashtun is superior to another Pashtun. Tribes are flowers of different colors on the same tree of Pashto, Pashtun and Pashtunwali.

No such thing as Pakistan, I checked ancient maps and yet to find a notation of such a place, it was recently ruled by Afghans.Originally posted by gadoonwal View Postsomewhere i read he was born in multan pakistan.

Ahmad Shah did not have a drop of mixed inferior blood, pure Aryan, unlike the ones mentioned above so called leaders of porkistan with mixed aboriginal blood, I don't considering mixed breds as Pashtuns.
Diversification is the greatest threat to mankind look at Brazil, it has the highest crime rate with most mixed races.Quod Erat Demonstrandum

I support the pure blood pashtuns idea but what do you think of kings of afghanistan, all of them were half breed?Originally posted by Apollyon View PostNo such thing as Pakistan, I checked ancient maps and yet to find a notation of such a place, it was recently ruled by Afghans.

what is your view on millions of pashtuns in afghanistan mixed with tajiks and others, speaking farsi?
Do you consider tajiks and uzbik as a pashtun too?
You will end up with only 10% pure pashtuns in afghanistan THEN.
Pasthus are not related with tajiks, uzbiks and punjabis etc.

Unfortunately many of you are hybrid or hijacking the name Pashtun. Maybe not maliciously but your confused may not be true Pashtuns, by examining your bone structure and analyzing your dna I just might be right. I don't consider paki culture or those that discarded their ancient if I may say "Arian" culture in exchange for pakization discarding their more recent pashtun-afghan ways cannot be considered as pure pashtons or in ancient terms Aryan.
It s a deep discussion and requires much time of history and genetic science.
Sorry for the confusion read the thread Macedonian connection for more details.Quod Erat Demonstrandum

The Tajiks who are not mongoloid are close to Pashtuns as per one scientific study and also Eastern Iranians, less problem than mixing with Punjabs, which is outside our ancient culture and linguistic values, religion aside..
Countries like Brazil and Afghanistan which is heavily mixed also have the highest global problems..crime included.

crime has to do with economic imbalance due to institutionalized racism rather than some one dimensional view of "multi ethnic bad, homogeneous good."Originally posted by Apollyon View PostFarsi and Pashtu are Aryan languages. I am part Durrani and fluent in Persian.

GO to history Macedonian thread for genetic details. There are people today who think that admitting God’s absolute greatness decreases the value and importance of humans in the creation, as if God and mankind are rivals competing in greatness and power. Meanwhile I feel that whenever our perception of God’s greatness increases, with it we become greater, because we are the creation of a great God.
