i wanted to make a thread on baloch Physical appearance

i want you to consider these pics and tell me what baloch look on average? do they resemble pashtuns, persians, arabs, KURD? or what

Baloch population is very less. about 8 million baloch live in pekistani balochistan. about 2 million baloch live in Irani province of sistan-va-beluchistan province. and about 500,000 live in afghanistan. Since baloch are very less in population, they are not that famous. you will not find many relevant baloch pics on the internet because of their un-famous-ness. So i went to facebook and searched my cousins (im a baoch) and their cousins and their cousins and collected a wide range of baloch pics on average. so i want you to determine how they look.

Keep in mind these pics are not "cherry picked" these pics are average baloch.

before procedeing keep in mind. there are 3 types of baloch.

Brahvi baloch - brahvi baloch are those baloch who are mixed with indians. some indians went to present day Balochistan from India and "mixed" baloch people. Hence they speak a Dravidian language called: "brahvi" because of their language from India and are known to be "half indian half baloch" or basically indian mixed balochis. Information is still disputed regarding this. Some people say that they are not really indians but they just happen to speak the language. these baloch are also called ibrahimi baloch. again no one really knows the brief history, however the language is dravidian but is completely changed today.

Mekrani baloch - Omani slave trade to balochistan bought many africans into present day balochistan. and because of the slave trade many balochis mixed with these "africans". mekranis are those baloch who are mixed with africans. "half africans half balochis". you can google mekrani and can find pics and as well as information about them. mekranis are coastal. they reside near gawadar.

Mainstream baloch - or simply baloch. these baloch are not mixed. And are true medes.

I thinkost of the pictures represent Suleimani baluch who look very West Asian. But I noticed a few brahui tribes there (mengal, bangulzai) who are indistinguishable from their suleimani counterparts.

The balouch seems to have mixed with their neighbours......some look like Iranian some Indian and some look like Arab and Pashtun...... The balouchi having the largest province in Pakistan but only 8 million balouch ...... As I heard they are the most persecuted people in Pakistan. As they live in isolated places and they prefer living in isolation maybe 8 million is miss calculated

in the pics mostly similar to pashtuns and Iranians, however in real life I have also seen baloch who can easily pass as indic groups. Shakim is correct, overall they would be mixed of all the neighboring countries

halogroup is: Iranian, NW.

Baloch are an iranian ethnic group just like pashtuns and KURDS. Their Language "Balochi" is also an iranian language.

True. maybe 8 million is miscalculated but no one really knows. But overall there are about 20 million baloch, 8 million reside in pekistan and the rest reside in places like Afghanistan, Iran, Oman and Turkmenistan.

So you're saying there can't be Baloch in Azerbaijan? Haha. well True. You're right. The picture is from azarbaijan but the guy is 100% baloch both mum and dad just like all the other pics.

The pictures that I've showed you are of "pure baloch". meaning both mum and dad were baloch. None of them are mixed. I've taken plenty of time to bring all these photos of only pure baloch.

Keep in mind the "brahvis" speak a "Dravidian language". The Dravidian language detonates their roots from India. The brahvis could also be mistaken for baloch because they have been mixed with the native Baloch. The "Balochi" language of balochis is classified as an "iranian" language having iranian dialects while "brahui" language is Dravidian, having dravidian roots. So keep that in mind that some baloch also have aquired the "dravidian" blood from the "brahuis". In Afghanistan, the balochis and brahuis are classified as two different ethnic groups while some parts in Balochistan they are classified as "Baloch" while some argue against it.

Also a large population are makranis. Makranis also mix with Baloch, and they also tend to mix with Brahuis.

Sun is also an issue. Most baloch are poor, so they don't have proper houses. Their children play outside in Harsh tan conditions as well as their family members. That's another subject.

Another interesting fact is that Baloch refrain from mixing, it's in their tradition. I've read 500 page book long on baloch tradition where they mention that Baloch donot tend to mix except with their own Baloch. I've lived in Quetta all my life and i've visited many many Baluch families and have not mixed with any other ethnic group at all. Because they bleive its important to keep their cultural heritage/lineage alive. Also because their population is quiet small. The pashtun population is thrice the time of Baloch. So they don't tend to mix or give their daughters to non-baloch to keep their heritage alive. Some do mix, however with Pashtuns and Panjabis, but that usually doesn't happen and the parents would generally not allow them marrying when it comes to Indic ethnic groups like Panjabis etc.

I've lived in Quetta all my life and they look just like Pashtuns!! or simply "alike". if you run into a person thinking they're pashtun, they will turn out to be Baloch and vice versa. It's confusing and very weird.

And I refute the idea of "mixing" because it's simply not in them to mix. But that doesnt mean that they "dont" mix at all. They do, but the ratio is very very small. The baloch are an iranian ethnic group just like the pashtuns and their ancestory can be traced to the Kurds. If you google Kurds you can see similarities in their facial structure and Baloch facial structure. Both Baloch and Kurds are said to be originated from present day Syria. Simply type "Kurds" and look at the pics on the web.

Your joking right? None of them are pashtun. They are all baloch. There's actually a feature in google images where you can search the pic and find out where the pic has been and where throughout the internet. Go ahead do it. show me 1 pic that has been on tags on google. Go ahead.

Stop searching the net and go on facebook and search baloch profiles. Internet is not your best source. Either go on facebook or go meet Balochs in quetta or balochistan. The pictures that ive showed you are all amatuer pics from people on facebook with some pics found on the internet and i challenge you to find me one that's of a pashtun.
