Sword/gun/weapon is part of pashtun culture. There is a reason for it. All you have to do is read Jefferson's philosophy behind the second amendment(right to bear arms.) Its to protect the first amendment(right to express opinion.) In the jirga, everyone has the right to express their opinion, the weapon is a symbol of what gives them that right. No one has the right to shut anyone up, if anyone tries, the weapon is a reminder that it wont be easy. The gun is a symbol in the jirga. I have never heard of any armed conflict occurring in a Jirga. The Jirga is to talk and the mydon is for battle.

there are lots of things that are part of our culture that are not right. we are in a mess because people like you do not see the wrong in it.

Then why is america and israel not in the same mess because I just proved they have the same gun culture and one can argue they both rule the world.

americans don't wage war against each other, afghans do. 99% of americans have access to education, 43% of afghans are literate. (i am sure 90% of these individuals are in their late 50s) israel has the best healthcare system in the world while afghanistan is the only country where people get shot for taking their children for polio vaccinations. guns in the hands of a somewhat sane population and guns in the hands of brainwashed zombies lusting after 72 virgins after committing suicide can have different consequences.

That is somehow on oxymoron, better education, peace stability and the calm life without dangers should be the main reason why arms shouldn't be alowed for sure. And as we see Americans have not a responsible way to use them, we should remember that us is not in war, but the avatar of RTR is enough to remind us what social consequences the laws in the us have.

i don't know what a red herring is and i am not about to waste my time over googling it either but if you want to compare afghanistan to usa and israel then compare it to their advancements and achievements. don't aim to live up to their failures. actually, you can do whatever the **** you want with yourself, don't suggest that for afghans.
what else was i going to say..o yeah, just because i am not having a reaction to you calling me an idiot at the moment, it doesn't mean that i will not keep a mental note of it for future in case i find myself in need for inspiration..

this forum has become a seriously ANTI PASHTUN FORUM, with constant criticism of anything pashtuns in their native lands do, by westernised pashtun mentalities.

i have seen photos of men in afghanistan said to be having meetings, with no guns. i'm not a fan of guns but the photo may not even be what some media outlet has said it is.

anyway, if it wasn't guns it would be swords or spears, throughout history. meetings of important people are defended by guards with weapons, all over the world.

I'd have thought that an Armenian would acutely understand the need for privately owned military grade weaponry...

It is estimated that one and a half million Armenians perished between 1915 and 1923. There were an estimated two million Armenians living in the Ottoman Empire on the eve of W.W.I. Well over a million were deported in 1915. Hundreds of thousands were butchered outright. Many others died of starvation, exhaustion, and epidemics which ravaged the concentration camps. Among the Armenians living along the periphery of the Ottoman Empire many at first escaped the fate of their countrymen in the central provinces of Turkey. Tens of thousands in the east fled to the Russian border to lead a precarious existence as refugees. The majority of the Armenians in Constantinople, the capital city, were spared deportation. In 1918, however, the Young Turk regime took the war into the Caucasus, where approximately 1,800,000 Armenians lived under Russian dominion. Ottoman forces advancing through East Armenia and Azerbaijan here too engaged in systematic massacres. The expulsions and massacres carried by the Nationalist Turks between 1920 and 1922 added tens of thousands of more victims. By 1923 the entire landmass of Asia Minor and historic West Armenia had been expunged of its Armenian population. The destruction of the Armenian communities in this part of the world was total.

That's because isreal is an ally of America. Why would they want to humiliate an ally like that. Plus half the fire arms that isrealis use against innocent Palestinians is provided courtesy of America.

every time they do something utterly retarded, people like you pat them on the shoulder like your pet dogs. you are the 65 year old, going around and calling people "butthead" and i am the one who needs to speak in an adult manner.
