Pashtun men care little about what you want or think. Evolutionarily speaking, they have proven to be more powerful than you or and ultimately it will be their way or the highway regardless. Lol..

Congo is right. Bagging Pashtuns is the new trend. Whenever we are upset about something, it's the Pashtun boogymen's fault. And that's messed up because we are more receptive and tolerant of everyone else's mistakes which happen to be a lot worse.

which is actually a blow back from the fact Pashtun for countless years have been avoiding taking responsibility like childish cowards and trying to afix blame on others for their intrinsic problems. There's also a horrendous mentality of entitlement amongst Pashtuns as if the fact they're Pashtun means they should be handed things on a platter.

Just look at your despicable comments and braggadacio glorifying the abuse of power amongst Pashtun men. It' for this reason alone that Pashtuns should have their flaws and inadequacies thrown in their face AT ALL TIMES possible until they're left completely humbled and taking responsibility for once..

Talking behind a computer screen does very little. Why don't you go and take it up with them face to face instead of endlessly nagging about them like a woman. If you can't do that, that just proves my point.

I don't justify that fire arms get seen as "part of culture", as they aren't even so old to be part of a culture and by the way aren't even of local production many of them. Neither should such arms be seen as good in any way. I agree with DZJ on that and understand her.

Still the elders seem of the most attacked people , at least from the news that you people post here they get killed as by drone attacks as by talib attacks, i cannot proof if all is right, but if the situation is such bad people need to defend themselves and protect their meetings. At least it is clear that nobody will think about protecting these elders in the situation that is now out there.

So to avoid the so spread foreign fire-weapons other much stronger weapons are needed, education and unity.

I never want to use bad words, but i want to course a situation where forein weapons become part of normal outfit of people, and while people kill eachother somebody abroad gets mony for that and sends his children to the best educational facilities.
If people have to fight eachother under the face of ANA and Taliban , they should find enough patriotism to boycott all forein weapons and fight with their own ones.

^ I agree with your general point but Pashtuns have been swordsmen for thousands of years. Lol.. The gun just followed that tradition.

Guns and swords are quiet different things, today the war for Pashtuns is buisness for somebody.

Agreed, but they make their own weapons for the most part in Tirah or in some cases use left-overs taken from the Soviets.

In the west important people sit at meetings with armed bodyguards, Pashtuns have guns at these meetings because they are their own bodyguards.

I difficultly believe that all the AK's are leftovers of the soviet times.
Westerners with bodygards aren't good examples neither to take. However my point won't have sense untill something changes, so i limit myself on this note for not saying empty words, as stated before, a big change is needed but almost made impossible to happen, but the loose of this "fireweapn part of culture" should than happen too, fireweapons aren't culture in no way. Be glad and proud that you weren't the people who invented the fireweapon!

No most of them are hand-made by Pashtun gunsmiths in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. They look like the real thing and work just as well but they are hand-made.

Outsiders have difficulty understanding this habit/culture/fashion/necessity of Pashtuns. Nowadays difficult situation has arisen for pashtuns carrying around guns like zewar in the presence of pak army. Media dont report it but in waziristan and other areas pak army soldiers shoot at first sight any man/boy who carries around gun.....so people are taking caution.

And this is why the west has a negative reception of us. If they see any Muslim on the news walking around with a gun they automatically think "terrorist".

It is sad that the American Siinnii knows more about pashtun culture than most pashtuns on this forum.

Sword/gun/weapon is part of pashtun culture. There is a reason for it. All you have to do is read Jefferson's philosophy behind the second amendment(right to bear arms.) Its to protect the first amendment(right to express opinion.) In the jirga, everyone has the right to express their opinion, the weapon is a symbol of what gives them that right. No one has the right to shut anyone up, if anyone tries, the weapon is a reminder that it wont be easy. The gun is a symbol in the jirga. I have never heard of any armed conflict occurring in a Jirga. The Jirga is to talk and the mydon is for battle.

Thats not why. The media creates an opinion of what you say. Its all intentional. The Israelis also have a gun culture and so do Americans but the media is not creating such an opinion about those two. One must ask WHY?

They fully understand it Luffy. The gun in the arm of of the man is the biggest threat to shutting that man up. Its to limit his right to opinion. The right to bear arms is fundamental to preventing tyranny.
