Hmm this girl is not the first one who would marry an non-muslim. I know a lots of pashtane girls/women in Germany who are married to German men. Some of the families were really strikt. the thing whith majority pashtun is that the problem is not your faith but that you are a foreigner, I know a lot of Pashtun men who call them self muslim but do nothing about there faith, I mean never pray or fast and the inlwas know about that but they don't really care becuase for them it is important that he is a pashtun so there grandchildren will not forget the language and the culture. So if you know a lots about pashtun culture and you are a good man, the parents would accept you even if it takes time. Becuase whith the other girls was the same the parents accepted the husbands of there doughters.

I guess these modern times havent reached your brain cells as of yet, since your living in a desert somewhere between 12th century and 14th century in your mind.Originally posted by graveyardofempires View Postthese guys are turning this forum into a dalal forum.
I am sure this forum would be a beautiful place to speak your mind if you was in charge, I wonder how many lashes one would get just describing your level of intellect as worse than a headless chicken trying to cross the motorway.
Please stick to topic.
If you ever was to offer your marriage to a female realtive of mine, I would rather shoot myself in the head, then poison my family tree with a irrational piece of turd, or would just ignore you and throw a penny into your hat just to make you stop speaking so much nonsense.
I know my humor is nice but yours isnt.

If our men were more nicer, less aggressive and more understanding to their own Pashtun females, then they wouldnt venture off looking for other men.Originally posted by AFG21 View PostHmm this girl is not the first one who would marry an non-muslim. I have seen the way Pashtun women are treated in our part of the world and its horrible, totally uncalled for and depressing.
for a healthy society, women should not be used as currency nor an excuse to mend ones innner insecurities.

People will follow their hearts or the circumstances around them. It has been happening for centuries, so the phenomena is nothing new.Originally posted by rubberduck View PostHi guys long time no speak, I have a slight problem and need a little help in terms of opinion and educated advice.
I would like to marry a girl who I met 9 months ago. She is what I have always looked for in a woman. She means everything to me and I have decided that I will ask her to marry me.
Her family are a little backward and to be fair not their fault. :p I have had good talks with both her and her family on the and email only. I speak good Pashto and have a very good grasp on culture, custom and most importantly see myself as compatible with their daughter.
There is a little history with the ol girl and I don’t really care. When she finds out how many woman I have slept with she would be shocked!
Anyway, the problem is well I am not a Muslim, so Nikah is going to be a problem. She is well aware of this predicament and simply avoids having to answer any of my questions when we have a chat.
I am going to meet her parents soon, I am going to Germany this week but will be going to Pakistan for 3 days so need this post answering to the best of anyone ability before Sunday :p
Opinions Please.

I have seen many examples of this. Some Pashtoons will melt into Panjabee culture, some will melt into Arab. Some will become Anglo-Brits, Hindus and others will become Australians. I have seen and met examples of them all. Indeed at a distance many of us are related to some just like that.
Dilution is nothing new. I have come to accept this, but what I also accept is that eventually for some people cultures dilute to the point that they have very little functional claim on being Pashtoon. You can't have everything.

Just speaking from an Anthropological perspective; the marriage of women to incompatible groups of people is a self destructive practice which inevitably leads to complete deterioration.
Even if we take it as a given that a Pashtana could be happy in such a marriage; we have to examine the underlying mechanisms that create this alleged happiness, it's all based on fallacious constructs inherited from a manufactured society to delude people. This means it's al a deranged hallucination and evidence that she's become abused to a point of psychological deterioration. Her choice is not one of happiness but the deranged psychosis that leads to not having any respect for herself.
In such an instance society should intervene as this is a symptom of social decay entering around us. Being that in 2011 Pashtuns are a Muslim/Islamic society, albeit in a flawed manner, the infidel thus is thus a diseased entity that has to be stemmed whether by direct force or persuasion.
When it comes to the dichotomy of alcoholic vs. charsi , naswr khorunkai. Alcohol is a much more damaging substance than either Naswar or Chars, which makes it much greater concern. Not that either are good. But if someone had to choose then it would be better to go with the Naswar user or Charsi. Both types of substances are bad, however the Infidel views Alcohol as an accepted norm, where as Naswar/Chars is consumed by social misfits in Pashtun society.
That's an important distinction here.Last edited by ScimitarXEdge; 10-04-2011, 10:40 AM.

There are many arguments about Arab Imperialism and paradoxes about Islamic marriage laws which don't make sense; on levels
#1 Muslim is not analogous with Arab, many Arab Druze, Christians and even Jews exist.
#2. a Muslim can be a Non-Arab, most of the Muslim world is not of Arab background.
Therefore the Muslim marriage Laws have almost nothing at all to do with Arab Imperialism, such arguments are Fabrications of European Imperialists to manipulate people they colonize away from Islam or to justify their Imperiailism by portraying the Muslim advance as a form of Imperialism, which its false.
Muslim males being allowed to marry non-Muslims has a valid anthropological reason dealing with Process of Mating and Lineage and social order, women intrinsically adopt the social order of the males they marry because males provide framework for infrastructure for reproductive opportunity and longevity. Hence why the opposite is not accepted.
So faith and religion do matter, but not everyone represents the highest quality solution; However in the societal outlook on things, the Highest caliber representative of the Enemy Societies lower than the worst member of one's own because that individual will only serve his own society's interests, and thus will be using Your women to reproduce his society.
Muslims of all ethnic backgrounds all have more or less the same society with more or less identical practices and values; there maybe some minor customary differences but value system. For examples both Arabs and Pashtuns are patriarchal, thus would have strong regulations on mating; where the Germans and British are weak and spineless males who and would accept even were to mate with animals.
As for pre-Islamic Pakhtaney marrying Infidels; there are no such thing as Pre-Islamic Pakhtaney, there was no Pakhto/Pashto language existing before the 10th Century CE, nor the culture. The best that can be said is that some of the Ancestors of Pashtuns were Not Muslims, but Pashtuns themselves synthesized most likely after their adoption of Islam.

You know full well that it's not your place to tell other people, whom they should or should not marry and you are merely being spiteful.Originally posted by ScimitarXEdge View PostEven if we take it as a given that a Pashtana could be happy in such a marriage; we have to examine the underlying mechanisms that create this alleged happiness, it's all based on fallacious constructs inherited from a manufactured society to delude people. Well generally speaking a woman should be free to choose whoever she wants to marry.
Establishing compatability is the responsibility of the couple. If she doesnt care that youre kafir then you may have to pretend for the family
However judging by the way you post you come across as a douchebag and loser whose trolling
