wrora there are many mullah rabani's
i dont believe in all the biased info regarding anything Afghan.
and how do you know about omar"s mindset?
i do understand that we pashtuns living abroad may have different opinion regarding what we want for Afghanistan but we are also to listen to waht people there want and think and believe.
our fancy ideas come as second and should be adressed in a manner.

are suicide attacks ratified by Mullah Omar, yes or no?

do these suicide attacks end up killing more Afghan civilians, yes or no?

do IED attacks affect more Imperialist donkies or Muslims? Let's talk about known evidence here.

If there are more Mullah Rabbanis, please stand up and take charge, don't let these nutcases bring everyone else down with them.

like is said me and you can keep our fancy ideas to ourselves because me and you have security.

how about an investigation as taliban asked from UN when they said taliban were the cause of majority civilian deaths.

your problem is you think people in Afghanistan are all ears and waiting for you to save them.
you dont like non of the established people instead you want a dead guy to come back and rule.your excuse is that Mullah rabani had different thinking than Mullah omar but how factual is that?

No more of these "roond lidoonay" and "nimsarray" types representing us; and when I say roond and nim I'm not referring to physical traits, but intellectual , spiritual and psychological traits.

I won't keep my 'fancy' ideas to myself, because they're legit criticisms

Mullah Rabbani did in fact have different ideas and this was evident even in the 90's, for example he was against most of the unnecessary edicts being propositioned by Mullah Omar in regards to physical appearance, he was also against the use of amputation which in Islamic Law was used only in circumstances where extreme poverty did not rule and only against people who had done grievous acts of robbery, not hungry men stealing; originally when Mullah Omar took charge was because he wanted to route out corruption. But later his rules would impede widows from being able to feed themselves. Any Muslim knows that even in the strictest interpretations of Islam, dispensations are allotted in terms of need.

Honestly what relevance is a man's beard length in terms of his moral principles? Beard Length is a symbolic act and plays not even a tertiary role in Islamic practice. Islam has levels of priorities, hijab and beard length are one of the lowest level priorities in Islaamic society, this is why in none of the previous Khulafa systems did they penalize people for such things in such a manner.

I don't think anything of the sort you're implying, this is a projection you have towards me. I think that the Taliban as a MOVEMENT, referring to the ideological establishment have nothing to offer even themselves nevermind others. It's based on some insane Indian-Deobandi thinking where superficial symbols of devotion are seen as the primary focus and not intrinsically meritable virtues which the people need.

I distinguish this from Imperial Occupation and resistance towards it; I am keenly aware of the use of "Taliban" to label all anti Imperial resistance, but I'm making the distinction here between Taliban MOVEMENT and Liberationists.

you think you are spiritualy, psychologically, intellectually more enlightend than omar or other conservative Pashtuns?

and what does roond lidooney mean after all?
              nimsarray?please explain.

they arent actually representing us but representing a big chunk of Afghan society in Afghanistan and muslims around the world have understanding for their cause.

i understand you are from a different school of thought so its uneasy for you.

what you forget to understand is there was no media in Afghanistan so you can make up everything you want.

Whats wrong with having beards? in Afghanistan its the most normal thing.
and you are exagerating if you think the rules were to make people grow beards, maybe some did haras people so does that mean that it were the rules?

i think you should have seen the country in that time and before that to understand the difference between Afghanistan and other places.

I am definitely more enlightened than Mullah Omar, I know this as fact, as for other conservative Pashtuns, like Mullah Yunus Khalis or Mullah Muhammad Nabi Muhammadi, probably not. I know I am more enlightened because I would never advise or believe it's ok for someone to commit suicide as a fighting tactic.

roond lindoonay means blinded of sight, nimsarray means not a real man/cowardly; It means people who don't have any real vision or grasp of reality and they hide behind ostentatious displays of piety as a disguise for ignorance.

Islaam has principles based on what is Naturally Right and Naturally Good, not contextually good and contextually right which is what capitalism/imperialism and other ideologies display. The methods of the Taliban Movement (not civilian resistance fighters); do not match this.

There's no bias, my early islamic learning was at a Deobandi School, I used to study in a place called Dar Al Uloom Al-Madania when I was growing up, this is Deoband affiliated school located in Buffalo, NY. Most Taliban had some manner of Deobandi influence and it showed in their edicts, Even Dar Al Uloom Al-Haqqania in Akorah Khattak was considered our "sister school". When I was a teen all we learned was how great the Taliban movement are and I was so proud because I was Pakhtoon and a Hotak.

There's nothing wrong with having beards; grow a beard if you feel it's within you, but that should not become a standard, penalizable social law in which day to day life is affected detrimentally for it. You even admitted yourself that they harassed people for such trivialities; and I'm not saying trivial as in the Sunnah is lesser. I mean that when it comes to priorities in Islaam, this was not strongly emphasized.

Yes as I matured, I grew out of the Deobandi styled thinking, mainly because I was exposed to other types of understanding, but I still remained attached to the Taliban because of tribal allegience, even though Omar is from a completely different branch of Hotak, we all originated in Qandahar during the medieval times. Eventually examining Islaam more completely in a context in which was more balanced and inclusive, I realized whatever the Taliban movement were teaching, whatever deobandi "mushrab" of Hanafiyah were advocating, was not in sync with Islamic principles.

I understand what lead to the Taliban uprising; and I don't regard that with disrepute; what came after however was a downward spiral, and men like Mullah Muhammad Rabbani Sahib knew it too.

bro just because deobandis were fans of taliban doesnt mean taliban were deobandis.
and what is your problem with hanafi?

and you are taking this tribal connection too seriousely , this is all made famouse after this invasion.before people would call themselves as kandahari laghmani kunari etc.
this shows that your knowledge comes from what you have heard or seen after eleven sep.
i also have no beard but that doesnt mean beard is wrong,it means iam wrong.
and i understand having beard might not be the priority but in Afghanistan having beard is as normal as not having beard in america.

                          so what is your mazhab?
and who cares if you are hotak or whatever ,that doesnt make you special.

rasulullah (saw) was never clean-shaven and kept a beard all throughout his adult life. if it was something optional, he would have sometimes shaved and sometimes grew it out. not only that, rasulullah (saw) explicitly forbade the shaving of the beard in ahadith and encouraged trimming of the mustache.

so why is there doubt in its necessity? the prophet (saw) said that there are many things made obligatory through his (saw) sunnah alone that are as important, if not more important than ones outlined in the qur'an.

this was directed at readers of the forum so that their minds may not be negatively impacted by the opinions of others and instead they hear the other side of the coin.

leave it or shave it, at the end; it is all your choice. but to say it is not obligatory is merely an opinion not a fact.

i do not wish to argue in circles with anybody but merely to induce clarification.

the word is lidonkay and not lidonay and you cannt use these two words together.wrund or rund means blind and leedonkay means watcher, somone who watches/sees.

one's focus on Afghanistan should be out of justice and not nationalism so you failed at labeling things as such.

Real Islam? shias also say the same thing, your point is?

just because you follow fiqh which is different than almost all Afghans, maybe it means you are the one wrong and not Afghans.
