mostly people reject music of upbringing, when i was young, Blues, soul/funk, original RnB, Jackson, Wonder, Diana Ross, Herbie Hancock, Frank Zappa and even electronic music like ORB, . . . . and then all began to fade . . . . and then memories of the rubab haunted me.

this PF is mashallah amazing, many knowledgeable members here, very polite and i havent seen any major abuse. i wish there was a roadside tea shop[chai khane] where we could meet in reality - i know we are globally scattered.
believe me i have read some amazing abuse/threats made, . . . . . of all the places from behind a PC/laptop in other forums on the interweb.Comment

i believe the most intellectual music today is underground hip hop and rap, people like Jedi Mind Tricks, Immortal Technique, Lowkey etc listening to some Rap and Hip Hop can be very enlightning and not a waste of time unlike some mombo jumbo sang over a chorus 20 times for 6 minutes from most music genres.----------
