majority of Hilly Rajputs are the product of these cross breeding and want to disassociate with their past. rajputs with rajwadi surnames consider themeselves superior but those native kings who look darker gets mocked as "gola" (mix breed, son of rakhile) so they actually invite light skinned rajputs and kshatriya tribes from Jammu region such as jamwals to sleep with their women so that their wives can give birth to pure white looking Native Child.

Zma nom ... da.
Sanga ye?? Ta sanga ye??
Za ...kalana yema.
Za Pakhtana yema kho kharij ki wosegam.
Wo/na.
Da baam/chat pa sar walara woma, da mashomano da cricket loba ma katala.
Saba shpa mong kara rasha dode dapara.
Dumra be adab/be nizakat khalak ma tar osa na wo ledale.
Nan saba yawa dera pa zrrapore kitab luwalam.
Pekhawar ki ma pinza wraze ter karai.
I have never heard anyone invite someone for dinner directly by mentioning the meal it's self. I would consider it pretty rude if it was mentioned directly. Instead I would say you should come over for the evening and it would be assumed that the invitation is for the meal.

So you also say 'wo' for yes , just like our brethren in Balochistan.Originally posted by Baserka View Post

In KP and FATA(most parts I think) 'Ao' is used.
In our area it is very normal to invite someone for 'dodai' or 'rotai' , its not considered impolite or anything.
How would you say to come for the evening in the context of inviting the person for dinner?

One thing I learnt is that in Pashto the word for interesting is zraporay.
Also makes me realize that having lived in Peshawar my Pashto is not as pure as some members here in terms of vocabulary , we have the tendency to insert Urdu and English words.Grammatically and fluency wise we are fine.
But Afghans , I have to hand it to you.Your Pashto is overall much better.
This conclusion of mine is not just based on this thread but otherwise as well. Shapur ,happy now? ( you were stressing this that day)
Since many members here are of Afghan origin , I have also come to the conclusion that the way sentences are structured and grammatically and some vocabulary is actually unique to Afghanistan , and you won't find that anywhere in KP and FATA though the Pashtuns of Balochistan may speak in a similar manner.

Spoken pashto is almost the same level on both sides. Afghans use more farsi/arabic words whilst Pakhtunkhwa people use more Urdu/English words. Afghan Pashtuns use many Arabic words which both Pakhtunkhwa pashtuns and farsiwans mistakenly think are farsi words. Words like Maktab for school, Kharij for abroad instead of bahar etc are all Arabic words. I used to work with a few guys from Swat and realized how many Farsi words I was using being from Kabul. I learned the proper Pashto words for many things from them. The rural folks on both sides speak much purer Pashto than their Urban counterparts in both countries due to less contact with outside influences. The big difference is in written skills. Whilst the educated Pashtuns in Afghanistan can write Pashto correctly, the ones in KPK write it with Urdu script except poets and experts.Originally posted by toughpashtun View PostOne thing I learnt is that in Pashto the word for interesting is zraporay.

Regarding vocabulary, there are many words/phrases unique to different areas and tribes which transcend the Durand Line.

Swatiaan have a very nice style of talking , they have their trademark words.
Don't know if they use more 'sucha' words compared to surrounding people.
