Respected Dawezai, correct me if I am wrong but in the past I was taught that the appropriate word for living is Astogna and address is Astognazay. Random thought, I know.
Dear Admin Khan, for living 'astogna' is the proper word and 'astoganzay' for 'address' is making a good sense too but for address the most commonly used word is 'darak'.
Are there any words for "awareness" and "goverment"?
Awareness: ځانخبري
Government: واکمن
Burrowing words from English language makes more sense to me since with the modern progress of Science and Technology as well as hundreds of other fields, new terminologies are introduced every day.Nonetheless, the Pashto linguists should help the language by introducing neologism.
It's not because of lack of words that Pashtuns are code-switching or using loanwords from other languages, we rather discard our own words and tend to use English, Parsi and Hindi/Urdu words instead. There are a number of reasons for this; the most obvious reason seems be lack of understanding on our part about the importance of our language. Most of us are the victims of 'aesthetic essentialism' in this regard.
The Pashto in Pekhawar is quite "contaminated" with lots of Urdu words. For instance, people would prefer to say "Boodh" and "Mangal" than "Charshamnba" and "Nahee" (for Wednesday and Tuesday), respectively.
'Charshamba' is Parsi; Pashto word for Wednesday is 'Shoro'.

Malgaro! Astogna means living. Example: Plaar ao zwee yao zai astogna larala. Astoganzay means Living Place. Example: Da Ustad Asaf Samim saib astoganzay pa Bakhshi Pul ke de.
