How would you say 'thing' in Pashto? I say both 'shay' and 'seez'.

So as you can see Pashto has clear being crushed by other languages.
There is a chance that either 'kas' or 'tan' are Pashto words. Just because they are of Farsi origin doesn't mean they aren't Pashto. We share a lot of words with Farsi so there is a chance that one of those words is Pashto.

Also a word I never hear used is 'khe chare'. It means hello.

We share a lot of words with Farsi because we're both Iranic languages.

For instance, we can't omit the word 'Ar' from Pashto, and we can't say that it has a Farsi basis, because it's probably a word from a much older language that with time produced both Farsi and Pashto.

          Example:

          'Ar se che yee.'
          'Ar cheez ke basha'.

You can't find a replacement for 'ar'.

Kas is probably one of those words.

This is some claim Toramana wrote nd it seems you're just parroting him, do you have any evidence Pashto was written in KHaroshti? any document?

Raverty writes next to each word where it comes from LOL
Raverty's book is from the 1800's, it's a bit outdated. I actually own a hard copy of it. A number of words claimed to be pure Pashto I have found in many non-related languages.

Sure it would be good but I think first we have to try and make sure all of us youth learn pashto in the first place. Too many pashtuns are not learning pashto and only english in the west and in the east instead they are focusing on urdu and dari.

I read an article about Kemal Ataturk language reforms. In that it was written how he cleared turkish from foreign words such as arabic and farsi.
If we look at the state of pushto now we find that rather speaking pashto we are speaking hindi/urdu, arabic, english and farsi. If we let are language deteriorate like this than we are harming our national identity.

                          What do you guys think?
Firstly, Muhammad SAW said Nationalism is a disease.

                          Secondly, we need to

                          Forget Pashto, Urdu or Dari.

and learn Arabic.... we must all Arabize ourselves and have our future to that of the Egyptians and Arabized Berbers ... we need to become Arabized Tajiks, Pashtuns and Punjabis !
