GUYS PLEASE KEEP ON ADDING MORE. THE MORE WE CHANGE THE MORE REST WILL FOLLOW

(You can even see the beauty of paxto in having a separate verb to cut for flesh)
I would say that اولس is of Turkish origin.

If it comes to the latter, 'tapos' is my favorite example. It means 'question', but also refers to the one of Pashtun customs. Linguistically, 'tapos' has Arabic origins and comes from f-h-s root, tafahhus. My question is: is 'tapos', taking into account its origins and cultural context, a Pashto word?
I don't believe tapos is a pashto word. It's a loan word. I think the correct & native word for question is pokhtana.

Well pasHTO LANGUAGE is actually pretty pure. The only language it mostly borrows is from arabic and pashto originally had a script. It was a gandaharian script called kharshoti which has taken the form of devangari in todays hindi.

              1. Its Turkic not Turkish. Turkish from Turkey is fake.

              2. You may not know them but they are there.

              3. Many words are shared between Persian, Arabic, Turkic, Urdu and Pashto.

The name "Khan" is itself of Turko-Mongolian origin, as is the word "ulas" (or more accurately, "uls") meaning "nation" or "people". For example, "Mongol Uls" means "Mongolia" in Khalkha (Standard Mongolian) and the word "Khel" which is used to mean "clan" in Pashto also comes from Mongolian, but in Mongolian, "Khel" means "language", so "Mongol Khel" means "Mongolian language".

Pashto borrows heavily from Persian, Urdu, French and Turkic languages. Arabic influence is actually very little compared to the languages I named above and its mostly in religious things.

There is no proof that Pashto was ever written in Gandaharan or Kharoshti. Toramana, a Pakistani Pashtun wannabe atheist from this forum, was the first person who came up with this nonsense.

You're too dumb to survive on your own which is why I have always tried to help you but its just too frustrating to drill knowledge into your fat Persian head.
Now you will be ignored until and unless I feel like educating you further.

On another note, you cannot speak Pashto and when you try to, NOBODY understands wtf you are talking about so stick to your Dari.

Some Linguists are of the view that Pashto, Sanskirt and Avesta are sister languages which flourished at the same time. Sanskirt came to India, Avesta flourished in "Bakhtar" and Pashto remained with a nation named "Pakht"(Pakhtun) in the hilly areas. These languages have many words in common. Professor Habibi has written a long list of common words in his book "Da Pakhto Adabyato Tareekh" some are the following:

Tsarman(Skin)in Pashto is "Charman" in Sanskirt and "Choman" in Awesta
Storey (star) in Pashto is "Sitara" in Sanskirt and "Stresa" in Avesta
Gharma(Afternoon) Pashto is "Gharma" in Sanskirt and "Gharm" in Avesta
Wona(Tree)Pashto is "Won" in Sanskirt and "Won" in Avesta
Shpa (night) pashto is "Shap" in Sanskirt and "Hashp" in Avesta
Na soz sho na saaz sho,
                      Bas hasy jwand tamam sho

Person/human is either kas or alam or both. People commonly use words such as 'insan' and 'banda' but those words are used in Urdu and maybe Farsi as well.

So as you can see Pashto has clear being crushed by other languages.
Wow. I wonder how you would say person/human in Pashto then. I've been mostly been using 'kas'.

                                And 'banda' is Urdu.
