You're right. Laban (though linguistically milk) is buttermilk, which tastes very similar to shlombay/terwe.Originally posted by Fahd View Postyeah GUL i saw feroza sis pictures and i know that qowrat !! but the one mum make it , its not from this qowrat its from laban does any one know whats laban is ? its not milk i think its called Buttermilk i think :S

I lived in peshawar for 5 years.
Most of the kids would buy qurut from shops though it used to be very salty. They loved to eat it but never heard of them cooking it.
So it basically comes like small marble shaped balls and is very trush ( in peshawar full of salt)
In Afghanistan it comes bigger in the size and is not that salty.
Iranians and tajikistani people use it too and they dont add too much salt in it. They use it in dishes too.
It reminds me of something so sorry for being off topic lol
The hazaras would catch Pashtoons and would ask them to say Qorot, The pashtoons cant say qorot so they would say korot... thats it, they would take him and torture him for being pashton.
when pashtons would catch hazara, they would tell hazaras to say wrond (blind) so the hazaras would say Rond with R not (WR).. thats it, pashtons would take him and torture ....
soo much to say lol..
