Scientist Imam threatened over Darwinist views - Home News, UK - The Independent
Most Islamic scholars have little problem with evolution as long as Muslims accept the supremacy of God in the process. But in recent years a small number of orthodox scholars, mainly from Saudi Arabia – where many clerics still preach that the Sun revolves around the Earth – have ruled against evolution, declaring that belief in the concept goes against the Koran's statement that Adam and Eve were the first humans.

      • It seems you, Khusal have a hard time believing in why Allah will make a man from clay. You also disbelief in god granting Ibliss then power to lead humans astray.

        Surah 38

Sahih International: He said, "I am better than him. You created me from fire and created him from clay."

Pickthall: He said: I am better than him. Thou createdst me of fire, whilst him Thou didst create of clay.

Yusuf Ali: (Iblis) said: "I am better than he: thou createdst me from fire, and him thou createdst from clay."

Shakir: He said: I am better than he; Thou hast created me of fire, and him Thou didst create of dust.

Muhammad Sarwar: He said, "I am better than him. You have created me from fire and him out of clay".

Mohsin Khan: [Iblis (Satan)] said: "I am better than he, You created me from fire, and You created him from clay."

Arberry: Said he, 'I am better than he; Thou createdst me of tire, and him Thou createdst of clay.'

Sahih International: He said, "My Lord, then reprieve me until the Day they are resurrected."

Pickthall: He said: My Lord! Reprieve me till the day when they are raised.

Yusuf Ali: (Iblis) said: "O my Lord! Give me then respite till the Day the (dead) are raised."

Shakir: He said: My Lord! then respite me to the day that they are raised.

Muhammad Sarwar: He said, "Lord, grant me respite until the Day of Resurrection".

Mohsin Khan: [Iblis (Satan)] said: "My Lord! Give me then respite till the Day the (dead) are resurrected."

Arberry: Said he, 'My Lord, respite me till the day they shall be raised.'

Sahih International: [Allah] said, "So indeed, you are of those reprieved

Pickthall: He said: Lo! thou art of those reprieved

Yusuf Ali: (Allah) said: "Respite then is granted thee-

Shakir: He said: Surely you are of the respited ones,

Muhammad Sarwar: The Lord said, "You will only be given a respite

Mohsin Khan: (Allah) said: "Verily! You are of those allowed respite

Arberry: Said He, 'Thou art among the ones that are respited

So tell us what happened to Christianity, were the christians not preaching blind faith. They were in the dark ages of ignorance until they started reading Muslim Scholars research and literature. Darwin and his father were inspired by the work of Muslim scholars when they further advanced the origin of species.
You dont know what you are saying. Satan has no power of the divine, he only whispers.

You think that, Hanuman ji. How about both of you preach your monkey talks to the Masjids across the world. Prepare your power points.

you keep using this Hanuman mnemonic even though it's been repeatedly clarified to you that Evolutionary Theory is not claiming that Monkeys were the progenitors of humans.

Your ignorance is now at stubborn proportionns; I can understand if you were just misinformed; but you're simply ADDICTED to ignorance

According to the holy scriptures he (AS) was born the same way as Adam.

That's according to the Tafsir of ignorant humans, not Holy Scriptures, one must avoid confusing interpretation from the actual Qur'an itself.

and if you take this stuff as literally as I think you do. How is it that Adam(as) and Isa(as) were born the same way, if you believe that one was made from clay, and the other from the womb inside a woman. Last I checked those are vastly different.

Do you not check the logical inconsistencies of your arguments ....or did smoking so much dope as you have admitted (not stuff you make up about others) and failing out of school (another thing you admitted) and being brainwashed by dogma leave your brain handicapped to be able to do that properly?

According to you, Adam had monkey parents.
wrong since I don't believe the notion that monkeys are ancestors to humans

You will flunk biology....seriously stay way from science, you'll just be disheartened by how you won't accomplish anything in it.

So how was Isa (AS) born when he didn't have a Monkey dad, and his mom was a virgin?
Qur'an is saying Adam(as) and Isa(as) were born he natural human way.

                read this.

in addition to these, Muhammad al-Haytham (965-1039), who is known in the West by the name Alhazen, defends human evolution starting from minerals, plants, and animals in Kitabal Manazer, his book on optical science. Prominent leaders of Sufism such as Ibn Arabi (1165-1240) and Jaluluddin Rumi (1207-1273) also had no problem in accepting the idea of creation through evolution, an idea which was commonly held among Muslims. The Muslim Geologist al-Biruni (973-1048) in his book Kitab al-Jamahir also asserts that humans are created after long periods of evolution from simple organisms through natural selection.

Preach to your masjid where you tutor math for a Juma then. if you have faith in your ignorant science.

How was Isa (as) born a "natural human way" when he had no Father?

The Quranic verses when Maryam, said "how will a carry a son, when no man and touch me". Or is the Quran, not a relaible source? Or your reading the Qaran.

but in what context did the Qur'an say this?

Perhaps, you need a punishment of lashes, or get stoned. Hate to admit it.

I didn't know Musaylimah wrote a book. I thought he and his followers sided after the battle of Yamamah. It seems he wrote the Qaran.

                          • Let me give a recap of your arguments.

                            Me: 1 + 1 = 2

Sci: wrong wrong wrong. Couldn't be more wrong

                            Me: err, how's that?

Sci: according the messenger Darwin, and his "Mazlum" teachers, the first one actually involved to 1,000. It represents the evolution if Homo Erectus, to Homo Sapiens. The second one is the representation of Homo Erectus to a Neanderthal. So my Wahhabi, add both to numbers and you'll get 1,100
*the following two fools have thanks Scimitar for this stupid remark: Khusal, Levanaye Zalmayie

Me: you went off in a foolish rant, just check you calculator and it says 2.

Sic: in what regard, does the calculator say 2. It actually doesn't say 2, you have too look at with an open mind.

                            Me:

                            • that's not remotely what you're arguing

                              THis is you

                              A= B and C=D but C=/=A so B= D

                              In other words you'e saying

"Jesus was born through a woman, and Adam was made from clay, but Adam and Isa were born the same"

Is it making sense for you now? It's not any of us who are contradicting logic; rather it's your construct of what you're thinking is logical that is false by it's premises.

Don't get me started about the Neanderthal thing, and how hilarious it was you keep having to edit and RE-EDIT your posts because you weren't sure about which one preceded the other.

Your argument is not 1+1= 2 but rather that 1+1 = Mayonaise, something completely inconsistent. (referring to your statement that Maryam(as) said she's a virgin means Maryam had Jesus without a Husband)

why were so many Muslims endorsing the idea of Evolution hundreds of years before Darwin and why were none of these Muslims labeled kufar or apostates?
