^What kind of respond is that? You don't answer questions but you give yourself the right to ask questions? Very awkward of you.

As an Atheist I can see what the writer is trying to convey. As a believer should this not be evident to you?

Pardon my questions, but it is just natural to be dumbfounded.

Well, yeah. That should have been clearly understood, no? I thought a girl of your caliber would have deciphered that within moments of reading it.

The depth is in the process, this is what I understood by what the writer is trying to convey.

What is with you and your conditions? I am not here to convert you, you are already a Muslim.

This is pathetic of you. You would have been the last person I would have expected this approach from. There goes the last bit of hope to have an Islamic discussion with someone on this forum.

            Why are you being condescending?

I did not post the story. Someone else did. I just appreciated it. Perhaps, I was looking through the lenses of a believer.

There is nothing much to it, but the process by which God provides.

I find it humbling. It is not us who provide for ourselves. There is a hidden hand.

The question that always bugs me is that can't I just believe in God? Period.

Obviously, every religion has its own set of "rites" that must be followed, otherwise, belief in just God is not enough.

                Do you follow my dilemma?

                  @Roshina

Well, I thought that that was evident by a simple read. What caught my attention is the response after the Atheist said that it was he who had placed the food there.

But what I am disturbed about you is that why don't you allow people to question you? Are you afraid of not being able to answer?

The questions that I had initially posted were rhetorical. (meaning food for thought)

                  Let us start off here.

But then again, you are a Muslim, I should have expected a defensive and condescending approach sooner or later. A real turn off.

The guy ran to help her and in the end the lady calls him "devil" for helping her, and completely obviates the role he played in saving her life.In reality, to an empty stomach, a bread giver would appear more angelic than devil and that is the "deep" logical fallacy in this "educational" post.
The atheist did wrong by asking her to think that God does not exist since helping others should be unconditional.Similarly, she does wrong by being completely unthankful to him.
If both are wrong, why does the atheist becomes a "devil" and she an "educationist" for preaching this "devilish ignorance"?

Perhaps her prayers were answered because the Atheist was the closest person. No one has seen God, not even believers. So, there must be an invisible hand, correct? (let us give benefit of the doubt). The invisible hand worked through the Atheist.

I feel that in life we are not self-sufficient. Everything we have is the work of others. If people vanish, no one can sustain themselves for not everyone is able to sustain a society by themselves.

The way I took it was that the Atheist became the instrument and did not realize that the joke was on him.

You are allowed to rant but I am not allowed to pose rhetorical questions? Pretty pathetic.

The story is obviously made-up, but it is Atheist mentality that man does everything himself and there is no Divine help whatsoever. I should know for I am one.

So, how does God provide, for one of His attributes is the Provider? Should that not be a defining line between a believer and a non-believer, that God provides versus God does not provide? I guess, based on your logic, as a believer, I will just conclude that even believers do not believe that God provides?

So, what use does God have in your life, Roshina?

I have already answered your question. I don't know what type of answer you want.

I could careless. I am an Atheist. I just looked at the whole scenario and a light switch turned on. I thought that God does provide in mysterious ways. That is all. But obviously, as a believer, you have shot that idea down.

The problem with you, I am finding out, is that you lack the ability to understands someone's perspective. That said, what I have concluded by your post is that human beings work for what they have. This is what the story rejects. I will give you one example: charities. Is this not what Islam also teaches? Hence, human beings are not totally working for what they have.

I'm not sure, but you don't seem to have a good grasp of what Islam teaches. Then again, what Muslim does, just look around this forum, you people can't even agree with each other.

                            ps
would you stop comparing me to others and then calling them out to come. Pretty juvenile of you.

What is depressing is that I am trying to make sense of God, yet you are turning me away from God.

Logical conclusion: God can't exist, for even you, as a believer, don't believe in Him.

How did you reach to the conclusion of the "invisible hand". Why could not the Chilean miners came out of the mines "miraculously" through the hidden "invisible hand intervention".Don't you think it was a good chance for God? Yet it took the knowledge of the textbooks studied by scientists, engineers, and now doctors to help them out of their predicament.
That certainly strenghthened my belief in massive drills than any divine intervention. Will you now tell me that those scientists would have never been successful if God had not allowed? If the scientists had failed, will you tell me that God did not want that to happen even though the families and friends prayed for thousands days?

Are you dead sure about "God's intervention" in this case or you are assuming?I guess you are assuming since you said there "must be" rather than "there is"? Something being assumed is still under the process of falsification, so how to we reach to the conclusion so early that Atheist became the instrument and helped the lady? If that was the answer to her prayer, perhaps God would have put some humility in the heart of the old lady to thank him, or God wanted to teach a lesson to atheist by making her call him devil, rather than angel (since everything is controlled by God).Do you mean that God is responsible for her "response" since she is not self-sufficient like her self-sufficient creator?

And I disagree that humans are not self-sufficient. If that was the case, the present organisms including humans would not be suriving on this earth. We need to thrive for our existence as organism and we do that every time we are challenged.

Anyway it was good catching up with you (lol!!)..more later gator..
