Many Pashtuns have married non-Pashtun women.

Believe in racial purity is a new concept only made popular by Europeans in late 18th and 19th century.

These ignorant idiots raised in secular families believe in false concepts originating from Europe about racial purity.

As History of Pashtuns rightly pointed out, many Pashtun tribes aren't even related to Pashtuns. They are non-Pashtuns who have adopted Pashtunwali after moving into Pashtun populated areas.


We witness the same process with many Pashtuns living in Persian dominated regions like Mazar, Kabul, Herat and some places in Pakistan. They claim to be Pashtuns but can't speak Pashto.

A good example would be a certain member of this forum who doesn't know any Pashto and yet is very persistent in claiming to be one.

So I'm guessing the last paragraph was a shot at me. Let me tell you something shamlawar I am more Pashtun in my left pinkie then you are in your entire body. You also claimed I don't know Pashto, please show me evidence of this. You just see members like Dazahrro, Smarty, and BSS claiming this. Please feel free to prove it.

I made a similar thread several years ago. But most members ignored it. i am going to find it and post there.

This is not true. Outside of FATA, i have a hard time understanding pashtuns in Pakhtunkwa. One they use too many Urdu words and two they speak at the tip of the tongue and have that urdu accent.

But ya, the pashtuns you refer to that prefer to speak farsi are kabuli pashtuns and in provinces like Farah. But the East, South and Kunduz are 99% pashtun speaking.

You might have got some interaction with Hindkowans as pashtuns never never speak Pashto with Urdu accent or intonation. They speak Urdu with Pashto accent. Yes it is true that they mix Urdu or English words which they should not. Let us talk of the unity of all pashtuns in a positive way not maligning millions of Pakistani Pashtuns who are Pashtuns by blood but not Afghans by passport which is a paper. Blood what matters not papers.
