you mean to say that you know women who are sexually attracted to other women but do not believe in women having the same rights as men?

You define feminism to be a struggle for equal rights for men and women? If so, a lot of feminists would disagree with you. I mean, I recently interviewed several people, including Muslims, who were all about women and men having equal rights and even used Islam to say that's possible, but when I asked them about feminism or if they'd ever be okay with calling themselves such, they said, "Oh, no. Not at all. I'm not a feminist."

It makes one wonder how these people, or even feminists themselves, define feminism.

Exactly the same thing with other people, who, though they share the same views as feminists generally do, don't call themselves feminists, since not all feminist believe that men and women are equal.

I have deleted most of my posts in this thread--my whole process of logic was wrong.

The chain of my logic started with this statement:

every feminist is not a lesbian but every lesbian is a feminist.

I had initially read it as: every feminist is not a lesbian and every lesbian is not a feminist.

Is lesbianism an insanity, psychiatric problem?
It is biological, neurological or hormonal disorder?
Feminists are mainly Lesbian-feminists?
To which extent this concept of feminism, lesbian-feminism from west has penetrated into muslim world?

an orange however is an orange. it can't be an apple no matter what color it comes in. women (white women/black women)


they are both fruits(human beings) of different kinds (black or white)

I would say that men and women are not the same physically. The are not the same because they both have different natural roles. However, this difference is not their own making. Allah has created them this way. However, they still need to have their needs to be taken care of naturally. Their natural needs have been taken care of by Allah. Therefore, in the eyes of Allah they are equal--which is all that matters!
