You need to stop reading old anti-Pak army reports about who dominate army. There are more sindhis in army now then even pashtuns and punjabis % have decreased.
Are you a sindhi or punjabi?

Pakistan was a country created for all Indian Muslims, but I'm glad Punjabis and Sindhis realize now how retarded that sounds. Sindh shouldn't be flooded with Biharis and UPites, it belongs to the Sindhis.

Yes, not just that the central Indian Muslim leadership envisaged themselves as the ruling elite of this new neo-Mughal state much as they had been leaders of Muslim India, with central India being the seat of Mughal power.

The "Pakistan" project was primarily supported by Bengali Muslims and then Indian Muslims with the "sons of the soil" of Punjab and Sindh not that interested.

but I'm glad Punjabis and Sindhis realize now how retarded that sounds.
The Sindhis have legitimate grounds for upset as Sindh is indeed facing huge numbers of non-Sindhis in the province.

However if we go according to Pakistani ideology, everyone is a Muslim/Pakistani so all Muslims/Pakistanis should be able to live in Sindh, and anyone that puts being Sindhi above being Muslim/Pakistani is a "traitor".

            but I'm glad Punjabis...
Punjabis rule Pakistan and they know that. For a confused Punjabi (Saraiki) like Golden to say he doesn't want Muslim Pakistanis of Urdu-speaking background in Pakistan is to negate the whole original ideology and purpose of Pakistan.

It is also to place ethnicity before religion/nationality, thus "treachery" (gaddari) to "Pakistaniyat" in theory.

This Punjabi (Saraiki) nationalist uses the phrase "sons of the soil".

              However he is confused.

Was Zia ul Haq, a "son of the soil", though he was born in India?

According to this Punjabi nationalist, Zia ul Haq is a Pakistani though he was born in India because he is a Punjabi.

Whereas those Muslims born in India who were Urdu-speaking, Gujarati are not "true Pakistanis" i.e. second class citizens in Punjabi-ruled Pakistan.

Anyone who is objective and has common sense will see his belief in Punjabi hegemony and domination of Pakistan and marginalization of Urdu-speakers, "Mohajirs", whom he paints essentially as unwanted trouble makers.

Every modern country is artificial. Arains are punjabis, if some live in eastern side of border doesn't make them different ethnic group like muhajirs.

Call urdu speakers 2nd class citizens or whatever but they are not natives. See British born Bengalis are not considered first class citizen in UK/natives, but 4th rate immigrants.

                    Bad and not-so-bad executions

Under the management of the ruling Justice and Development Party’s (AKP) foreign policy, it has been a real challenge to keep a count of the flight itineraries of Turkish ambassadors in foreign capitals. Those who are recalled, resent, then recalled again, then resent or not… But all such punishing diplomatic moves have one thing in common: The extra flight costs have not changed the course of events that Turkey has protested about in the countries where Turkish ambassadors have been on the move.

Most recently, the Turkish Foreign Ministry summoned its ambassador to Bangladesh in protest at the hanging of a senior Jamaat-e-Islami party leader, Motiur Rahman Nizami. The execution made Bangladesh the latest region in which the self-aggrandizing, arrogant Turkey has hit the walls of reality. It is a pity that not even our Muslim brothers in Bangladesh behaved like an obedient Turkish colony.

This columnist remains categorically against capital punishment, regardless of the crimes attributed to the victim. Mr. Nizami’s death sentence was no exception. Nor are any of the de jure executions in Iran, China or America. In contrast, I have known many people across the world, West or East, who defend capital punishment. Opinions are opinions and “for” or “against” in this debate is normal, like in any other debate.

But then there is a third category of people who are neither totally “for” or “against.” Their position would depend not on the type of the crime in question (serial child rapist, murderer, terrorist, etc.) but rather on the political/religious identity of the criminal and that of the executioner. President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan stands out as a powerful example of this “third way.”

For Mr. Erdoğan, the capital sentences landed on his Muslim Brother fellows in Egypt were an outrage, disgrace, crime against humanity and many other awfully tragic things. But, for the same Mr. Erdoğan, the capital sentences that were carried out in January in Saudi Arabia against over 30 people, including a prominent Shiite cleric, were, in the president’s own words, “merely an internal legal matter.”

But on the hanging in Bangladesh of Mr. Nizami, Mr. Erdoğan said: “I do not believe … Nizami committed a crime to deserve this sentence and execution … We have not heard a voice from the European Union that [always] says it is against capital punishment. Were you [the EU] not against executions? There has not been a [single] voice [against Mr. Nizami’s hanging] from those countries that claim to be democracies and against executions because the [man] who was hanged is a Muslim.”

Mr. Erdoğan owes everyone an explanation. What makes Saudi executions an “internal legal matter” that no other country, including the anti-capital punishment bloc that is the EU, could object to; and what makes Mr. Nizami’s execution “not an internal matte every country should object to?” When is an Iranian execution, which may come in the flavor of a stoning, an internal legal matter and when is it an international matter that should spark protests, including summoning an ambassador?

It is simply the “us-against-them” divisive mentality: our friends can stone or hang people, and that is fine; the others cannot stone or hang “our men.” And what makes “us and them” is very straightforward: our Islamist allies vs. the entire world.

Clearly, Mr. Erdoğan wants to be the chief global judge who has the sole authority to decide who is guilty and who is not – not just in Turkey but across the world.

And he is not alone. In Ankara, groups connected to several Turkish (Islamist) NGOs protested in front of the Bangladeshi embassy while members of the (Islamist) Anatolia Youth Association (AGD) gathered to voice their objections at a park in Istanbul.

“Oh Muslim, don’t sleep, protect your brother,” some shouted, while others chanted “Hell awaits the wrongdoers.” AGD head Hasan Karaman described Mr. Nizami’s death sentence as “unlawful,” saying a prerequisite of the Islamic faith is to cherish human life.

Like President Erdoğan, Mr. Karaman has never been heard to protest any stoning in Iran or execution in Saudi Arabia. A prerequisite of the Islamic faith is to cherish human life? Well, sometimes.

The article was by Turkish journalist Burak Bekdil, probably one of the few non-AKP journalists not jailed by Erdogan.......yet.

                      Burak Bekdil.

                      1. To provide some context to the article above. Erdogan not only supported (in essence) the Saudi execution of the Shia scholar, Nimr, he was felt to be actively involved in lobbying for it.

Nimr, a Shia scholar whose execution is felt to have been done due to pressure from Erdogan.

Turkey has reacted angrily to claims in Iranian state media that President Recep Tayyip Erdogan was involved in Saudi Arabia’s execution of a prominent Shia cleric......

The executions were carried out only days after Mr Erdogan visited Riyadh for talks with King Salman, and Iranian news reports were quick to draw a connection between the two.
Iran blames Turkey's Recep Tayyip Erdogan over killing of Shia cleric in Saudi Arabia | Middle East | News | The Independent

Erdogan is clearly a hypocrite and liar. Anyway the real reason why he has been kicking up a lot of fuss over the Nizami execution is because the AKP party is derived from the Turkish version of the Muslim Brotherhood, the Milli Gorus, who are both sister-organizations of the Jamaat e Islami.

"Muslim" Brotherhood. The Brotherhood is an anti-Bangladeshi organization which supports war criminals who carried out massacres and rapes in Bangladesh in 1971.

Brotherhood militants with a picture of the controversial Morsi of Egypt, a figure supported by Erdogan.

                      2.

The execution made Bangladesh the latest region in which the self-aggrandizing, arrogant Turkey has hit the walls of reality.
Erdogan seeks to make Turkey a global power which includes bullying other countries and interfering in their affairs. Bangladesh is just one in a long list of countries which Erdogan has targeted.

                      - Egypt, support for controversial brotherhood figure, Morsi and insults against the Egyptian government.

                      - Syria, support for Wahabist militants causing destruction in the country.

                      - Iraq, interference in Iraq's affairs and disrespect for its sovereignty. Also bombing of Iraqi territory.

                      - Tunisia, interference in Tunisian affairs.

                      - Libya, interference in Libyan affairs including alleged support for Wahabist militants there.

                      - Germany, trying to ban certain articles and cartoons there and trying to incite the Turkish diaspora there.

                      - Israel.

                      - Belgium, Erdogan's bodyguards getting in to physical fights with Belgian police.

                      - Ecuador, Erdogan's bodyguards beating up Ecuadorian activists including women.

Erdogan guard graps woman in Ecuador, an activist opposed to his regime.

Ecuadorian MP beaten up by Erdogan's guards with broken nose.

Erdogan is a dictator who accepts no criticism has a mega-palace with golden toilets and runs a mafia-style party organization.

An Erdogan official kicking a Turk during a protest over the deaths of mine workers.

It is a pity that not even our Muslim brothers in Bangladesh behaved like an obedient Turkish colony.
The irony is despite the Erdogan regime making constant provocative comments and interference in Bangladeshi domestic affairs, rather than show some awareness of the possible offence they were causing in fact they arrogantly thought that Bangladesh had to listen to them.

In other words in their arrogance and stupidity they thought that an indepdendent country had to obey what the Turks, Erdogan said.

The Bangladeshi government will most likely ignore Erdogan, apart from Erdogan showing his macho Muslim Brotherhood credentials, in real terms Bangladesh-Turkey trade is higher than Pakistan-Turkey trade and relations generally are good.

Erdogan's headlines make the Saadet/Milli Gorus supporters in Turkey happy and the Jamaat supporters in Bangladesh happy, but I doubt he will take any real action against Bangladesh in the same way trade with Israel was generally good despite publicly trying to make himself look anti-Israel.

Bangladesh respects its ties with Turkey which will transcend Erdogan's stay in power. Once Erdogan leaves or is kicked out the Bangladeshi government will probably be respected by future Turkish governments for exercising restraint in the face of a relative mad man, Erdogan.

Like Bengali Tiger said, Pakistan was a failed project and the reason for that is (muslim nationalism). A thinking that muslims are better then others, this has ruined muslims everywhere. In reality Muslims are not better then anyone at anything, the whole world has progressed except muslims, what does that show?

I am glad Bangladesh has realized this, and I think it may eventually become a proper leading muslim nation. Pakistanis, Majority Punjabis will never realize this, since they are so backwards and uneducated.

Bangladesh is a very poor country with lots of issues in terms of poverty and backwardness to resolve. We do not think of ourselves as some sort of mighty state and successor to previous empires. Turks, Iranians, Arabs, Afghans have all had mighty empires in the past.

Our focus in Bangladesh is very much on combating poverty, improving the lives of poor people e.g. we spend far less money on arms than other states. Jamaat e Islami however are a threat to our national security as they are essentially a non-military division of the Pakistani army and working to destroy our country, including trying to provoke conflict between India and Bangladesh on Pakistani/ISI orders.

The Jamaat are a cruel and evil organization, ruthless and unprincipled.

They organized sex camps for Pakistani soldiers to rape Muslim Bengali women.

They work with Arabs to impose sanctions on Muslim Bangladesh.

They work with Hindu communists (Mamata Banerjee in west Bengal) to prevent the Teesta agreement.

Teesta river, people in northern Bangladesh face water shortage and drying up of rivers. The Jamaat e Islami terrorist organization based in Bangladesh and also in India's West Bengal have lobbied Hindu communist Mamata Banerjee to prevent a deal being signed between India and Bangladesh on the Teesta river thus perpetuating the suffering of Bangladeshis.

The anti-Bangladeshi, pro-Jamaat head of West Bengal, Mamata Banerjee.

When history is written, Banerjee will be recorded as a cruel traitor who worked with a brutal terrorist organization that was involved in mass rapes and war crimes.

Turkey’s Islamist government, having barely survived a failed coup attempt, has apparently softened up on Bangladesh’s war crimes trial.

Turkey lauds Bangladesh PM for reacting to July coup bid

On Tuesday, it ambassador in Dhaka said Ankara does not want to interfere in Bangladesh's domestic issues.

At a media briefing, Devrim Ozturk condemned the brutal murder of Bangladesh’s founding father on Aug 15, 1975 and expressed his “gratitude” to Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina for supporting the Turkish democracy during the Jul 15 coup attempt.

“It’s a misunderstanding. We did not have any intention to interfere in your domestic matters,” he responded, when asked about Turkey’s reservations about the ongoing war crimes trial.

He returned to his assignment from Ankara on Aug 12, three months after he left for “consultations” following the execution of war criminal Motiur Rahman Nizami.

President Tayyip Erdogan had condemned the execution of Jamaat-e-Islami chief Nizami, who was convicted for crimes against humanity during the 1971 Liberation War, and recalled the ambassador on May 12.

The envoy said this gesture was “just against the capital punishment” as Turkey had abolished it.

“We have strong historic relations with Bangladesh and it is my priority to work on the existing relations,” he said.

“Our approach to Bangladesh is something cordial. We are always with our Bangladeshi brothers and sisters.”

He insisted that the comments on war crimes trial should be taken as a “friendly advice, not an insult to the country”.

“We don’t have any reservation with the current government,” the ambassador also made it clear.

But he added that they have relations with all “legal” political parties in Bangladesh including Jamaat-e-Islami.

Ambassador Ozturk met journalists to brief them on the coup attempt that he said was carried out by ‘the Fetullah Terrorist Organisation or FETO’, which is led by the US-based preacher Fetullah Gulen.
Following the attempt, the Erdogan government has detained as many as 35,022 people including half of army generals.

Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu earlier said three officials from Bangladesh had also fled to escape post-coup inquiry.

The ambassador, however, said of them two were a couple who they suspect were linked with the FETO as they did not report to Ankara after they had left Dhaka.

The other official has already reported to Ankara, he said, without giving further details about their names and positions they held in the embassy.

He expressed Turkey’s “gratitude” to the Bangladesh government and the people who had shown their “solidarity at the highest level” with the people of Turkey after the coup attempt that targeted democracy.

He drew similarities between the coup attempt and the killing of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, and termed the murder 41 years ago the “saddest chapter” in Bangladesh’s history.

The ambassador said it had its “ripple effects” on the development of democracy and democratic institutions in Bangladesh for decades to follow.
“On the night of July 15, Turkey achieved to avert a similar turnaround in its history.”

He called upon all countries including Bangladesh to prevent all activities of FETO.

He said they would work with the Bangladeshi authorities on the two Turkish Hope schools which are reportedly run by the Fetullah Gulen’s followers.

“I think the administration should be changed,” the envoy said, when asked whether they would ask the government to close those schools

                            Comment:

                            1. The Turks betrayed us.

Bengalis even fought for Turks and the Ottoman empire during the Turkish war of independence, the father of our nation, Maulana Bashani was sent to prison by the British for his support for the Ottoman Caliphate, the same man who founded the Awami League.

Maulana Bashani on the right with Badshah Khan and Khan i Azam (rahmatullahi 'alaihim).

A decade and a half later Bhashani became one of the most ardent followers of another politico-religious movement of the Islamic World—the Khalifate movement in 1919. Protesting the dissolution in Turkey of the Khalifate (Caliphate) by Kemal Ataturk landed Bhashani in jail for ten months.
Maulana Abdul Hamid Khan Bhashani Facts

Ottoman symbol. Bengalis fought for and supported the Ottoman state and Turks during their war of independence.

However the Turks chose to side with those war criminals who murdered and raped our people. They chose to provoke us, insult us and abuse us.

                            They betrayed us.

This is like Bangladesh supporting the PKK or commenting on trials of PKK terrorists.

                            It is totally unacceptable.

                            2. The Erdogan regime has now been humiliated and been forced to send its ambassador back to Bangladesh after 3 months, which included excluding Bangladesh alongside Israel from the AKP congress. A clear sign of bullying.

                            F*** them!

The only reason why they have now sent their ambassador back and started sucking up to us is because they want to chase Gulenists in Turkey and close the Gulenist school in Dhaka.

Bangladesh should tell Erdogan to F*** OFF!!

Bangladesh should tell the Erdogan regime that they will "look in to and investigate the Turkish schools in Dhaka when it is suitable and we have the time". Prolong, procrastinate and delay as long as we want.

In the end not give Erdogan anything unless he behind the scenes apologizes to us for trying to insult us and for supporting war criminals and terrorists.

If we are cheap and just close the Gulenist schools down instantly, overnight just because a dictator like Erdogan demands it we are not behaving like an independent sovereign state with self-respect and dignity. Any closure of Gulenist schools should be linked to an end for Turkish support for terrorists e.g. Jamaat e Islami.

However the Bangladeshi government should not be fooled. Erdogan is a chronic liar and backstabber. He may be sending officials to Dhaka now to try and suck up to the government, but as soon as he gets what he wants he will revert to his normal pro-Pakistan, pro-terrorist policy and start insulting us again. This liar and backstabber should not be trusted.

                            Erdogan's uncertain future.

The other reason that the closure of any Turkish schools in Bangladesh should be delayed is the uncertain future of Erdogan himself. He has:

                            - survived the Gezi uprising in the summer of 2013.

                            - survived the corruption scandal of December 2013.

                            - survived the attempted coup of July 2016.

However how long can he keep surviving?

He has arrested tens of thousands of people, made thousands of people lose their jobs and is releasing tens of thousands of criminals from prison so that political prisoners (Gulenists and others) can be put in jail.

He has even sacked Greek university prisoners and targeted Armenians, supposedly as action against an Islamic organization the Gulenists. What do Christian Greeks and Armenians have to do with the supposedly Islamic Gulen movement?

Turkey may face a major economic slump in the future and Erdogan would be out. By that time if Turkish schools in Dhaka had been closed because of some maverick bully and dictator who then lost power it would be a great shame.

Devlet Bahceli, the head of Turkey's MHP.

Possibly Bahceli should take over as president of Turkey and head of a coalition government of unity including the 3 main parties (AKP, CHP and MHP) and organize a process of national reconciliation and rehabilitating and re-integrating persecuted Gulenists back in to society.

However we Bangladeshis should never forget this Turkish betrayal and support for war criminals and keep a vigilant eye on the Turks and keep our distance with them including an unofficial ban on all military deals with the Turks, construction projects and other things.

This means the Turks lose billions.

That's at least $17 billion worth of deals not to mention billions on deals with Japan, India etc. Money which the Turks will have none of.
