So Ghaznavi, Ghauri, Samanid, Kushan , Arghuns etc all belongs to history of Afghanistan. Even Babur has more relevance to Afghanistan than India, he launched himself from Kabul which was under the rule of his ancestors since Amir Timur. Babur is national hero of Uzbekistan and is born in Kabul , the history of rest of Mughal rulers belong to India , not Pakistan. Babur and Timur were not Uzbeks yet they are celebrated as national heroes of Uzbekistan because they were from there.

Pakistan also has some rulers. On the top of the list is Ranjeet Singh. You people should name a missile after him. Another is some Dacoit of Akbar times, Dullah Bhati. Another is Adina Beg, an arian peasant who became important in politics of Punjab and was friend of Sikhs and Marathas against Afghans. Those group of Khokars are also heroes of Pakistan who cowardly assassinated Muhammad Ghauri in the night of darkness when he was sleeping in his tent. A missile should also be named after Raja Dahir, the raja who married his sister.

Whatever are the roots and history of word Afghan, it is not derogatory and foriegn like your pathani. Word Afghan has appeared in very earliest records, in Sassanid period and in 10th century hudud-e-alam. Pashtuns have been using this word for themselves in their literature. For example by Pir Roshan and Akhund Darweza in 16th century and by Khushal khan khattak in 17th century. No Pashtun of that era has used your word Pathani, which has Hindu roots.

You people use word Pathan because you people are converts from Hinduism. No Afghanistan based author has ever used word Pathan for their qaum. Ghani Khan , was from Peshawer valley and used Pathan title for his book to sell his it, and at that time it was popular in Pakistani and western literature due to Sir Olaf Careo's famous book "The Pathans". But in his pashto poetry , he dont use it. No Pashtun uses this word in his language, its foreign and indic.

Pashtun intelligentsia of pakistan discourages use of this derogatory word. When literacy rate becomes high in Pashtun belt, its possible that their would be wave against this deragotory word and in future it would be as much offensive as nigg-er or paki.

In Tareekh-e-Masoomi Siwi or Sibi is described as Afghan populated area, the author of the book led expedition for Akbar to conquer Sibi in 1570s. Ain-e-Akbari also describes it as Afghan region with Panni tribe. Kalhoras who occupied Sibi in 1708, also mention it as abode of Afghans of panni tribe with rulers from Barozais.

Marris infiltrated into lower Sibi in 1840s. Check Gazetteer of Sibi, 1910 for confirmation. Today upper Sibi is still inhabited by Barozais, Khajjaks and other Pashtun tribes. Even the stronghold of marri Balochs, Kohlu was inhabited by Zarkuns, a branch of Panni tribe, Marris conquered it in 1871....British contemperory records and Gazeteers are there for you to confirm it.

Its interesting to see that you took offense when i stated the obvious fact that you people are converts from Hinduism , thats why the legacy of usage of word Pathani....self-esteem issues?. Pre-Islamic history and religion of Pashtuns is unknown, but one thing is sure , they were not of Hindu religion and ididnt inherited Hindu heritage......thats why Pashtuns used word Hindi or Hindki for people akin to Punjabis when they arrived in present day Pakhtunkhwa.

The thing is you people use word Pathan because it came from Hindus and most of your Punjab was Hindu in medieval times. Even today half of your Punjabi qaum is non-muslim, Hindu or Sikh. Pashtun qaum is blessed with 100% Islam ratio. Also Check the books about Sufis in India, big chunk of them were Afghans/Pashtuns and many non-pashtun sufi saints had Pashtun following. Beside this, Pashtuns were pioneers of many religious movement in India e.g Roshnai movement, Mahdwi movement etc. Deoband town was founded by Afghans and the followers of Shah Waliullah were Rohilla Afghans.

Lol british sources is source on ethnics? I wonder if Lodhi are not afghanis either like you claim? One can't find any modern pakhtun lodhi, how did they vanish? Lodhi also come up as rajputs somewhere. Langah are likely some sindhi origin, they also come up as rajputs in british sources. Ultimately it mean they are hindu converts you proudly claimed as afghanis LOL Real jatts clans live in central punjab since inmomerial time and are proud hindu converts, seraiki jat is fake tag. Don't read to much in to it. Very few actual seraiki jatt clans exist, likely migrants from upper punjab after British rule.

No Jat population has ever existed in Sibi, it was either Pashtun or Baloch. If Langah rulers were falsely claiming to be from Sibi, they were suggesting that they have Afghan roots. Its understandable that they would do such stupidity, their overlords were Lodi Sultans.
Sibi in Balochistan was hindu city once, named after hindu princess. Another bit, kangs are jatts found among sikh jatts and muslims. You claimed them to be afghanis, even nahars sound indo-aryan word. No kang pashtun tribe exist.

Even langahs are found among sikh jatts. Edit: hindu jat clan nahar exist in Rajasthan. Likely these people were pushed out of Sibi by invading turks.

To me it seem like Afghan was meant for everyone including hindus living in certain region, likely in west of indus in current day North Balochistan. I don't think afghan and pakhtun mean same thing.

Well you are constantly bringing my once mentioning of Langahs as Afghans......I am not from South Punjab so would rely on Books. Once i found out that Langahs are probably Jats, i have never associated them with Afghans again. But you love to jerk around , dont you?

The thing is , Beside Sibi proper, Sibi Sarkar aslo included Upper Sindh area , Shikarpur etc in Mughal times. So Ferishta may not be wrong in saying that Langahs came from Sibi.

About Your Lodhi and Lohana gibberish.....these coincidences exist. There are even Suri Hindus and Rohilla Hindus. The Proper word for Lodhi in Pashto is "Lodi", Lodhi is indianzied form. They have nothing to do with Lodhi caste of Hindus. The original word for Lohanis is Nuharney in Pashto, or Nuhani...descendants of Nuhan, who also got prounced as loharnaey or Luhan. They have nothing to do with Hindu Lohana caste. Sur of Pashtuns have nothing to do with Suri of Shansabānī or Hindu Suris.

It reminds me of dispute over Quetta. Its derived from word Shal Kotay, i.e Shal fort. But today Baloch nationalists are claiming that it is derived from "Koh-e-Taha" with Baloch roots. Barkhan was named after its Pashtun barozai governors but baloch nationalists have their own explanation, that it is named after Mir Baro Khan Baloch

Its not a coincidence that lohani pakhtuns are known for shop keeper/trading. You have edited original page on wiki on your tribe but its ok. Lodhi afghanis don't exist, what if they are some hindu converts also? Ferishta is not authentic source, he wrote history as it was told to him by others in different time period. You once tried to explain why lodhi don't exist now among afghanis.

Your claim is not more valid then baloch, after all we are dealing with psudo historians here.

Moron, Hindkis doesnt necessarily mean Hindko speakers of Peshawar or Hazara. In Pashtun society, they were serfs and all of them speak Pashto........they were conquered people. In Mughal times, walled peshwer city was also Hindko but Big chunk of Hindko speakers came to Peshawer city and Kohat city from Punjab with Ranjeet Sikh forces. Thats why you have Kiyanais in Peshawer. These Hindkowans of Peshawer city are different from those hindkis, the descendants of Gandhara civilzation, who were reduced to serfdom by Pashtuns centuries ago. Sikhs didnt allow Pashtuns in the city, and settled Sikhs as well as Punjabi muslaman. These newcomers merged with already existing Hindko population of the city. Some Hindkowans are very old, e.g you will find even Hindkown with barlas roots in Peshawer. Then there are those who settled in Peshawer during Durrani times e.g those who trace their roots from Kashmir. And a big chunk of them came with Ranjeet Singh army in including Sikhs......thats why you will find Sikhs in old Hindko areas of Peshawar .

The entire rural area of Peshawar is inhabited by Pashtun tribes since centuries, they were not interested in living inside the walled city.

Kabulistan was not inhabited by Pashtuns at the times of Hindu Shahis.......the abode of Pashtuns at that time was Koh Sulieman range.

There are Budhist temples in Afghanistan, not Hindu. In upper KPK and at the Khyber pass, all the ruins are budhists...........Hindu ruins are in DI Khan and Bannu, the kafirkot ruins, destroyed by Ghaznavi.

Ghaznavi and Ghauri patronized Afghan tribes. Utbi, the court historian of Ghaznvai, mentions Afghans chiefs in the service of the King. Army of Ghauri was largely made of Afghan tribes, Turkish slaves were minority. So Ghauri's conquest of your Hindu Punjab and India sort of Afghan expansion in India.....Afghans slayed your Hindu ancestors.
