The guy claim everyone as afghan, he was proud of some hindu converts seraiki Langahs and claimed them to be afghans with dubious sources just because they once ruled Seraiki areas around Multan. He has even edited wikipedia on them, he is basically wiki historian.

Langahs were ashamed of their Jat roots and claimed to be Afghans......can you blame me for my mistake if they themselves were claiming to be Afghans?. When British were registering info on Castes, they noted that many Langahs are claiming Afghan roots.

two of my close frends are langahs and they are from multan and they are ashamed of u know what afghan refugees living in south punjab(once everybody loved afghans but now even pak pashtuns hate u because of what u all do on youtube facebook etc), the thing is that ferishta who was a historian made this ns claim
[[Farishta]] is the authority for their Afghan origin which is doubtful to say the least. Pirzada Murad Baksh Bhutta of Multan says that Langah are Panwar [[Rajputs]] by origin. According to [[James Todd]], these Langah Rajputs were driven out by the Bhattis at least 700 years ago. Also Mirasis who keep a track of all the lineages have confirmed this Rajput origin. Other than these origins, some langahs also claim [[Arab]] descent and [[baloch people|Baloch]] descent. <ref>A Glossary of the tribes and castes of Punjab by H. A Rose</ref>
Other than this Langahs are also classified in jatts in Mandi bahaudin, [[Multan]] Districts and [[Dera Ghazi Khan]] where they settled during Akbar's Reign. <ref>A Glossary of the tribes and castes of Punjab by H. A Rose</ref>
In [[Montgomery District|Montgomery]] Langah are a part of [[Arain]] clan.

Every Pashtun is ethnically Afghan...........ask any Pashtun whether he prefer to be called himself Pathani, he would say No. You Gujjars , Jats etc do not even use proper word for your so called beloved pakistani pashtuns but use derogatory word Pathan. Lol

Ofcourse they are not Pashtuns. No tribe by name of Langah exist. The thing is , they claim to be from Sibi which was abode of Panni Afghans in 15th century. No Jat population has ever existed in Sibi, it was either Pashtun or Baloch. If Langah rulers were falsely claiming to be from Sibi, they were suggesting that they have Afghan roots. Its understandable that they would do such stupidity, their overlords were Lodi Sultans.

lol mate,, u said ghaznavid was afghan lol , read ur early posts ,, history of Afghanistan means somthing else which i agre with but not afghan ethnicity. Also that afghan is pashtun is an exonym and old and most pashtuns dont accept it in pakistan as afghan is a nationality now not ethnicty anymore. u know why khushal khan had to say that slay the throats because at that time even pashtuns called thmselves pashtuns and prefered to be refered as pashtuns rather than afghans.

Except for some anp dudes, Afghan is a national of afghanistan , even pakhtuns of afghanistan are not refered as afghan rather farsiwans are called afghani or the hazara looking people ..
