Come on, Khaama is a propaganda tool.
Lets go into legit sources:
It is clear from the article that Khaama has made it all up and the afghan army commanders motive is to get more soldiers and funding to their particular districts and disgruntled Taliban commanders who are in need for some attention.
The only reason ISIS has any legs in Syria and Iraq is because the Sunnis in both countries were on the losing end of the "coalitions" redistribution of power and influence. These are all reactions to bad policies. ISIS only posses a threat to Iran, Asad and Hezbollah and the US air force is acting like Iran's, Asad's and Hezbollah's Air Force.

People like Khostia and the DSM think they can actually use foreigners in their land to propel their own people forward. They don't learn from history. People like Karzai and Ghani have existed and their current approach have been tried many times in Afghanistan. Every single time, that approach have only produced the opposite.
Pashtun nationalists like Khostia would rather cooperate with the Taliban than be dominated by Tajik nationalists and that is exactly what would eventually happen. All the US funding of the afghan gov is doing is postponing the inevitable.

ISIS (Daesh) not a major threat to Afghanistan, Nabil says
By KHAAMA PRESS - Thu Jan 22 2015, 2:45 pm

NabilThe Afghan Intelligence – National Directorate of Security (NDS) Chief Rahmatullah Nabil has ruled out that the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS) terrorist group poses serious threat to Afghanistan.
Speaking during a briefing in Afghan parliament on Thursday Nabil said the Afghan intelligence is competent enough in terms of capabilities.
In the meantime, Nabil said the ISIS group poses more threats to the neighboring countries as compared to Afghanistan.
Nabil reiterated that the Afghan national security forces are capable to thwart threats by terrorist groups.
The remarks by the Ministry of Interior (MoI) confirmed last week that a number of the Taliban militants have launched operations under the name of the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS) in parts of Afghanistan.
The commander of the NATO-led Resolute Support mission in Afghanistan Gen. John Campbell earlier also said that the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS) is recruiting militants in Afghanistan.
In an interview with the Army Times, Gen. Campbell said “We are seeing reports of some recruiting. There have been some night letter drops, there have been reports of people trying to recruit both in Afghanistan and Pakistan, quite frankly.”
Concerns regarding growing ISIS influence in Afghanistan and Pakistan comes as a video was released by ISIS over a week ago which purports to show militant leaders who identify themselves as from Afghanistan and Pakistan pledging their support to the Islamic State group.
However, the former Afghan President Hamid Karzai has said that the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS) terrorist group has no place and supporters among the Afghans.
In an interview with the BBC Farsi, Karzai blamed the foreign intelligence agencies for spreading propaganda regarding the growing presence of ISIS militants in parts of Afghanistan.
Karzai said the foreigners are looking to enforce new phase of instability and misery in Afghanistan by encouraging the militants to raise the ISIS flags in a bid to spread the group’s ideology in Afghanistan.

No place for ISIS (Daesh) terrorist group in Afghanistan: Karzai

ISISThe former Afghan President Hamid Karzai has said that the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS) terrorist group has no place and supporters among the Afghans.
Comparing the rumours with the rise of Taliban militants in Afghanistan Karzai said the regional security institutions specifically the Pakistani forces should be on high alert and cautious in this regard.
The remarks by Karzai comes as the Ministry of Interior (MoI) confirmed last week that a number of the Taliban militants have launched operations under the name of the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS) in parts of Afghanistan.
MoI spokesman Sediq Sediqi told Radio Free Europe (RFE) on Saturday that the exact number of Taliban militants who have pledged allegiance to ISIS terrorist group is not clear so far.
Officials in Helmand province had earlier confirmed that a former Taliban leader is currently recruiting fighters for ISIS in Sangin district, while officials in Farah said the terror group has set up training bases in Khak-e-Safid district.
Concerns regarding growing ISIS influence in Afghanistan and Pakistan comes as a video was released by ISIS over a week ago which purports to show militant leaders who identify themselves as from Afghanistan and Pakistan pledging their support to the Islamic State group.

Although the group did not carry a flag which has been normal if any group comes into existence in Afghanistan but their clothes were made off three colors which is the flag of Afghanistan, this can be their distinguish from other groups operating in Afghanistan.

13 Suspects Detained over Alleged Link with IS Militants
Tuesday, 27 January 2015 19:08
Written by Sayed Tariq Majidi
At least 13 suspected militants have been arrested over having alleged connections with the Islamic State (IS) fighters in central Parwan province, said a provincial security source on condition of anonymity.
The suspects were detained Monday night in Bagram district when a special team of security forces were sent from the capital Kabul to conduct the raid, the source said, adding the detainees have been shifted to Kabul.
"The intelligence reports and information shared with the security forces indicate that these people wanted to affiliate with the terrorist groups who are trying to operate under different names in our country," the Ministry of Interior (MoI) spokesman Sediq Sediqqi said, referring to the rumors about the emergence of IS fighters who have seized some large cities in Syria and Iraq.
The rumors about the existence of IS militants in Afghanistan were increased after some local officials of southern Helmand and Nimruz provinces acknowledged sightings of the newly-emerged militants.
Earlier, the MoI officials rejected the presence of IS fighters who have recently topped the headlines in the west, saying they were the same Taliban and Haqqani groups who have now changed their physical appearance to gain more points.
According to military experts and analysts, these new militants were the combination of Pakistani, Afghan and Central Asian insurgents that needed the attention of the government.
"One thing that is more concerning about Daesh [IS] is that they recruit from all sects unlike the Taliban," military analyst Javed Kohistani said, adding those who have not even received religious education are also recruited in the group.

No Place for IS Fighters in Farah: Provincial Council
Saturday, 31 January 2015 18:52
Last Updated on Saturday, 31 January 2015 20:45
Written by Jaweed Zeyaratjahi
Province of Farah's local security officials have confirmed sightings of the suspected Islamic State (IS) militants in the western parts of the province. Provincial council members have stressed that the newly-emerged fighters do not have the support of the people and would not make a place in the western zone.
Following the rumors about the existence of IS fighters in a number of Farah districts, the Afghan National Army (ANA) Zafar Corps commander Gen. Taj Mohammad Jahid confirmed nearly 100 people, including foreigners, such as Arabs and Chechens, had joined the group.
"There are 70 Islamic State fighters including 13 foreigners present in Khak Safid district," Gen. Jahid said. "They don't allow people to get close to their base."
The head of the Provincial Council of Farah, Farid Bakhtawar, said that residents of Khak Safid had not allowed these fighters, who had also shifted their families to the district as well, to station in the district.
"The Islamic State has failed to win public support in Farah," Bakhtawar said. "Their crimes, including the sale of women, have caused the people to stand against them."
Reports indicate that the Iranian border forces have deployed additional troops to their areas that border with Farah after rumors about IS surfaced.
But the Afghan border police officials say they have not yet received any formal information about the presence of IS.
"We have not received any formal information in this regard," said Gen. Mohammad Juma Adeel, commander of the border police for the western zone. "The patrolling of Iranian border guards is normal because they always protect their borders."
However, the Ministry of Interior Affairs (MoI) has repeatedly rejected the rumors, saying they were the same militants operating under new brands to create more attention and increase fears among the people.

ISISNBC NEWS, a US based media organization says to have talked to some insurgent commanders in Afghanistan and Pakistan who have confirmed that hundreds of Taliban have diverted to Islamic States in Iraq and the Levant (ISIS) or DAESH.
NBC NEWS claims to have talked to four insurgent commanders in Afghanistan who have said that a number of Taliban fighters have joined DAESH and more are talking about it.
“A small number of people of the Afghan Taliban who weren’t happy with their leadership joined Daesh, but others are discussing meeting and waiting for a suitable time to become part of it,” NBC NEWS quotes a Taliban commander in eastern Nangarhar province of Afghanistan who has spoke to them on condition of anonymity.
“Our people are now getting frustrated and asking us why did we fail in getting a space in Afghanistan to implement Shariah, despite the loss of thousands of people in their war against the U.S. and its allies,”, the unnamed Taliban commander was quoted as saying.
NBC NEWS further quotes the Taliban commander as saying “Their concerns are genuine as we don’t have an inch of land in our possession in Afghanistan where we could live freely.”
Afghan Taliban leadership has not accepted that their fighters have diverted to ISIS but has ordered fighters not to let ISIS operate in Afghanistan.
NBC NEWS also claims to have talked to some insurgent commanders in Pakistan who have confirmed that hundreds of Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) fighters are now part of DAESH’s new branch in Pakistan.
NBC NEWS quotes a Mufti Hassan Swati, who according to NBC NEWS was TTP commander for Peshawar, now claims to be the deputy of ISIS in Pakistan, as saying “Hundreds of militants quit their groups and joined us [after it started]. Initially we had some problems of resources in running the organization but we have enough resources now.”
Swati has told NBC NEWS that the new branch of ISIS is being led by Hafiz Saeed Khan and its headquarters is in Baloochistan state of Pakistan.
ISIS releasing a video recently claimed to have established Khorasaan, previous name of Afghanistan which also included parts of Pakistan, Iran and other neighboring countries.
Although Pakistan has not publically accepted that ISIS has started operation in its territory but a video emerged last month showing a number of EX-TTP commanders claiming to have joined ISIS and currently operating in Pakistan under the command of ISIS.
In the video a man with a long knife in his hands was seen beheading a person who he claimed was a Pakistani soldier captured during fighting.

The raise of ISIS in Afghanistan is a tactical adjustment of Pakistan’s Afghan policy
By AHMAD HASIB FARHAN - Sun Feb 22 2015, 8:15 pm
0 Comments0 viewsEmail Email Print Print
ISIS in AfghanistanA group loyal to Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS) or Daesh, the most extreme and ferocious among all the terrorist groups announced its organizational structure in Afghanistan and named its outfit for the region as the Al-Khorasan. On January 18, an Afghan Security official confirmed ISIS existence in the country. Lieutenant-General Murad Ali Murad, commander of Afghan army’s ground forces, told Al Jazeera that “elements under the ISIL flag” have been trying recruit fighters in Afghanistan. Few other Afghan government officials also confirmed that a group of militants is active in the south, recruiting fighters, flying black flags and, according to some sources, even battling Taliban militants.
Is everyone with a black flag operates for ISIS?
Any reports about the presence of ISIS in Afghanistan should be treated with some caution; it is unreasonable to believe that everyone with a black flag operates for ISIS. It will not be an easy mission for ISIS to spread its wings to Afghanistan, more than 1,000 miles from their home territory in Syria and Iraq.
First, Afghanistan is not an oil rich country like Iraq that could encourage or offer opportunities for ISIS. The oil money of Iraq has dramatically enriched ISIS and serves as the main source of income for the terrorist group.
Second, the people of Afghanistan won’t tolerate domination by any means from non-Afghans, even from other Muslim countries. Afghanistan has a long history of uprising and impeding rebellions against foreign occupation. The country has been invaded many times in recorded history. Some of these invaders in the history of Afghanistan include Indians, Alexander the Great, Genghis Khan, Timur, the Mughal Empire, various Persian Empires, the British Empire, Sikh Empire, the Soviet Union, and currently the Taliban and Al-Qaeda. However, no foreign power has ever subjugated Afghanistan, even temporarily. The country has been thoroughly debunked, yet it refuses to die.
ISIS certainly have a sharp memory to recall the Afghan history. It will be an irrevocable mistake for ISIS to attempt occupying Afghanistan.
Third, ISIS cannot get any cooperation from Afghan Taliban because of the visible evil of their actions on one side, and their different visions on an Islamic state on other side. ISIS chief Abu Bakar al-Baghdadi considers Taliban’s supreme leader, Mullah Mohammad Omar a fool and illiterate warlord. Al-Baghdadi believes that Mullah Omar does not deserve a spiritual or political credibility. Such kind of rivalry of ideas and beliefs between these two terrorist groups limits the scope of operation for ISIS in Afghanistan.
So who are these militants with the black flags in southern Afghanistan?
Over that past three decades, Afghanistan remained the battle ground for the proxy wars of its neighbors, particularly Pakistan. Pakistan has been changing its proxies systematically to reach its antagonistic aims in Afghanistan. Though, Pakistan is signaling a change in its policy on Afghanistan, yet Pakistan’s strategic objectives in Afghanistan remain largely unchanged. The new group with black flags that claimed to be ISIS are the old pawns of Pakistan under ISIS name and flag. Mullah Abdul Rauf Khadim, who claimed to be the commander of the so called ISIS group was a former Taliban commander and a faithful to ISI who spent couple of years in Guantanamo prison. Mullah Khadim who proclaimed allegiance to the Islamic State, was killed in a military operation in Helmand Province recently. The militants who sworn alliance to Mullah Khadim and ISIS are the students of madrassas run by Pakistani intelligence agency, ISI.
Pakistan has realized that the prospect of a Taliban military victory is neither realistic nor desirable in presence circumstance of Afghanistan, moreover the Taliban are now turning to China to reach a peace deal with the Afghan government. Therefore, Pakistan needs new proxies to replace Taliban and continue its covert war in Afghanistan. This is the same tactic that Pakistan used in 1996 by supporting Taliban against the Afghan Mujahidin who lost their reputation and foundation in the Afghan society because of their active involvement in the bloody civil war.
The Afghan government must not rely too much on Pakistan. The raise of ISIS in Afghanistan is not more than a tactical adjustment of Pakistan’s policy regarding Afghanistan in response to international pressure and Afghan government demands to end support for Taliban.
