Pakistan is a poor country and it will face problems like loadshedding,less per capita,Less literacry rate and related similar problems for long time in future aswell

You need to understand that no country can become develop within a short span unless it has extremely less population like gulf countries and way too much real wealth like oil.

Iran has a Per capita Income of Around 5500-6000dollars(388billion dollars vs 70million population) And with this much per capita you won't see the poverty similar to pakistan in iran.And We might reach the per capita of 6000dollars by 2022-23(If 5% growth rate) and 2020(if 6-7% growth rate)

The period 2008-13 was the worst in Pakistan history with an average 2.9-3.1% growth rate.And now reach 5% within the first quarter.

Until and unless Pakistan reach 5000$ per capita.you will see alot of poverty in Pakistan.Unless and until Pakistan reach 600-700billion dollars GDP.You will see Pakistan begging for 6billion dollars to IMF and WB.

Hopefully Pakistan can reach 700billion dollars GDP by 2020.

With 700billion dollars GDP you will notice a infrastructure boom in Pakistan such as in india today.

They have 15 projects running parallel for metro in 15 cities and growing.

Pakistan had planned metro initially in 1992.But delayed.When Musharaf signed deal in 2005.In 2009 Even the locomotives reached Pakistan for karachi/Lahore metro project but due to corruption of past govt.Eveything got ruined.

Anyway the deal for metro is signed with japan.I hope we may see it in near future(2017-18)

Pakistan can reach trillions of dollars but it wouldn't matter a thing if the wealth is not distributed equaly, and I doubt if the even reach that 700 billion, maybe PAkistan will desintegrate at that time....
I watch AlJazeera and also CNN, BBC and my local tv stations, I never hear about how Pakistan economy is growing, I only hear the oposite, people trying to escape to west, and there is not only poverty but alos instability, Pashtun regions of Pakistan are almost in the same situation as in Afghanistan, and not to speak about the countless terrorists atacks......

Post some articals from AlJazeera or CNN or BBC, or some othe reliable source that is not made by Pakistanis, than I wold belive your buble dreams.

Equal wealth distribution is not possible in any country except may be israel and japan.

Metro delay doesnt mean economy is in bad shape But our GDP is smaller for such huge project

Metro project need atleast 5billion dollars for completing it or atleast 2billion dollars for starting.

Tajiksitan is growing with 10% but since their GDP is hardly 15billion dollars they cannot open any metro project unless their GDP is atleast 100billion dollars.

Pakistan case is similar.We will open metro project in many cities but just wait 5 more years.

As per this Pakistan will have a 3.33trillion dollar GDP by 2050.

He has used 3.5%as average growth rate for Pakistan considering his last prediction of growrh rate for countries while Pakistan already is growing with 5% and possibly 7-8% after 2 years.

So by 2050 pakistan will be most likely of 6trillion size or 40k $ dollars per capita

As per his prediction in 2010:Afghanistan will have a 180billion dollars GDP by 2060

1) Pakistan is not an extremist country with crazy laws like Iran or Saudi Arabia, you can do whatever you want. You can drink, you can do anything. Pakistan is a free country where women have rights.

2) The quality of life in China and Hindustan (India) cannot be compared to the quality of life in Pakistan. 6) Pakistan makes its own cars which are safer and better than those made in India, China and of course Russia/Ex-USSR.

7) Pakistan has a railway even though its not very good. Other forms of public transport however are very good in Pakistan. We have some of the best coaches for long distance journeys and our air carriers are not as bad as those from certain other countries. Taxis suck, but overall we have better transport than most of our neighbours. The only thing we don't have is metro. Our rickshaws are better than those of neighbouing countries.

There are many other reasons but I can't think of them now.

1) pakistan has some islamic laws, its just that no one follows them. you have turned shrines into brothels and of course authorities don't stop it.

2) according to you the quality of life is based on what people eat? both countries are far richer than pakistan and the gdps per capita are also higher. so the **** they want to eat, they eat.

3) yeah you can tell how scared america is when they conduct weekly drone strikes in the country with no fear at all of anti aircraft attacks or other reprisals lol

4) yes most istans are poor, but you don't seem to know much about central asian nations. hell, the gdp per capita of kazakhstan is like 9 times more than pakistan. most of these istans don't also have suicide bombs and drive by shootings in their capitals every other day.

5) yes pakistan is very beautiful, its lack of pollution(taking your word for it though i really shouldn't considering the previous points you have been wrong on) is probably due to the lack of actual economic industry compared to the likes of china and india.

Last year saigal group has brought the plant and they are under a discussion with south korean firms for possible JV's

Pakistan is struck under automobile importing mafia.They bribe the govt official against any rising local manufacturer.

Pakistan today indeed might not be ahead of Afghanistan.

But the situation is changing way too fast and in favour of Pakistan.

Pakistan industries already stand at 65billion dollars.Which is small but growing faster.Last month growth rate was 7% for heavy manufacturing sector which is almost 2 times of india and comparable to 9% of china.

Pakistan was growing faster but hit by Terrorism.we missed almost 8years but started growing again since earlier 2013.

Our industry after 5 more years will be atleast 100billion dollar.Which by all mean can be considered not smaller but average.
