0G +0SU0Reddit0 0OmarPakistan's Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan said Jamaat-e-Islami leader Abdul Quader Mollah was hanged because of his loyalty and solidarity with Pakistan in 1971. (

Pakistan's Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan on Friday described as "very unfortunate" the execution of Jamaat-e-Islami leader Abdul Quader Mollah in Bangladesh for genocide during the 1971 liberation war.

In a statement issued here, Khan said Mollah's execution was "very unfortunate and a tragic step". He contended that some circles had declared it a "judicial murder".

"There is no doubt that he was hanged because of his loyalty and solidarity with Pakistan in 1971," he said.

"Till the very end before creation of Bangladesh, he remained a supporter of a united Pakistan and today every Pakistani is saddened and grieved on his death," he added.

The 65-year-old Jamaat leader, known as the "Butcher of Mirpur" for atrocities committed in a suburb of Dhaka, was hanged last night after Bangladesh's Supreme Court rejected his review petition.

Mollah was the first politician to be hanged for crimes committed during Bangladesh's war of independence from Pakistan.

Noting that 42 years had passed since the events of 1971, Khan said it was the demand of international relations that "events of the past should be put behind and a new era should be started".

The execution was an effort to "revive old wounds of the past", he claimed. "It would have been better if the Bangladeshi government had shown farsightedness, large- heartedness and magnanimity instead of opening old wounds," he said.

Hanging of Bangladeshi Jamaat leader unfortunate: Pakistan minister - Indian Express

*Pakistanis behaving like the traitors that they are and always have been.

Pakistan the state which betrayed Islam and Muslim brotherhood by launching a genocide of unarmed Muslim men, women and children in east Pakistan.

Pakistan the state which militarily supports Burma the country that massacres Muslim and almost went to war with Bangladesh.

Pakistan the state with the third highest number of slaves in the world, 2 million slaves.

Pakistan the state which carried out atrocities that not even Al-Qaeda or the Taliban have done i.e. sex slave camps where Muslim Bengali women were held as slaves, many raped to death.

Ya Allah, Ya rabbee, Ya Allah subhanak wa bihamdik, sallee 'alaa nabbiyil kareem ya Rabbee please destroy the name of the state of Pakistan from the face of this earth and please wipe it off the map. Oh Allah this state has murdered hundreds of thousands of Muslims in Bangladesh, it has killed tens of thousands of Palestinians in Jordan, it has caused bloodshed and suffering in Pashtunkhwa, oh Allah please, oh Rabbul 'alaameen please destroy this regime and the regime of Nawaz Shareef. Alhamdulilahi rabbil 'aalameen wa sallee 'alaa nabbiyil kareem, sadiqul ameen.

    Ameen, thumma ameen.
Please be objective in your approach. Your hatred for Pakistan and the events of 1971 should not blind you. Many countries are separated from their motherlands with a violent or peaceful struggle. Pakistan was part of India and Bangladesh was part of Pakistan, while all these three were part of British empire and back of Mughals and so on. Now these countries should bury the hatchet and work together for the progress and evelopment of the poor masses.

All these 3 countries have recognized each other as independent sovereign states so I do not see any benefit in talking of the bitter memories of the past.

When you pray for the destruction of Pakistan then remember Pakistan is not the name of the earth and mountains but of 190 millions of Muslims including 40 millions of Pashtuns. You cannot destroy the oceans, earth and mountains but the people. When you bomb Pakistan, the buildings which will collapse, will also lead to the innocent souls residing or working there.

By the way I do not like the Islamist Pakistan but for me Pakistan is the most Islamized country of the world. Read its constitution and you will find it the most Islamic one. If you are for Islamism and Islam then you cannot find a better country than the Islamic Republic of Pakistan.

I do not usually read your posts but since this is a very important issue I have temporarily unblocked your last message (you are still on ignore), as I was notified you quoted me.

      1. By destruction, I do not mean the physical destruction of Pakistan. In fact the majority of Pakistan is Balochi and Pashtun land whom I consider my Muslim brothers.

By destruction, I mean the Yugoslavia, USSR style disintegration of this evil state.

      2. Pakistan has openly glorified and praised a war criminal who murdered, massacred and raped including young children.

Why do you not condemn that?

Why do you not condemn Pakistani interference in domestic Bangladeshi affairs?

As I have said before if Pakistanis could, they would do another 1971 genocide again. However now it is physically impossible for them to do so as there are no Pakistani soldiers in Bangladesh unlike 1971, though there are Pakistani controlled forces in the guise of Jamaat e Islami.

      3. Pakistan must be destroyed and many Muslims across the world will join me in asking Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala in destroying this evil country and ridding humanity of it forever.

      4. A few years ago on this forum I was criticized by many when I actually spoke out against a possible American attack on Pakistan including on Pashtun areas. I did this because I knew it would cause damage and destruction for Pashtuns.

Also if you notice I never celebrate the death of Pakistani soldiers or civilians on this forum as I have noticed some Afghans doing elsewhere e.g. "good 4 rats killed, hopefully more" as those individual Pakistani soldiers are Muslims and human beings whose death cannot be celebrated.

However I oppose the existence of the vile state called Pakistan with my very being and pray regularly for its destruction (disintegration) and will continue to do so until I die.

      5. Pakistan is not like these other countries, which separated from others. Pakistan has never ceased to leaving Bangladesh alone. Last year it was involved in trying to carry out a coup in Bangladesh, this was even mentioned by the very secretive Bangladeshi military in a press conference which they gave (something they have perhaps never ever done before). They did not mention Pakistan by name but referred to a "SAARC" state. Obviously it wasn't the Maldives, Bhutan, Nepal or Afghanistan.

It works with Saudi to bully Bangladesh and weaken the Bangladeshi economy.

It sponsors Jamaatis to promote anti-India/Hindu hatred in Bangladesh so as to prevent any normalization of India-Bangladesh relations. Pakistan wants to see eternal conflict between India and Bangladesh, though yes the Indians do have their faults.

There are so many things that it does which I could say but won't.

Anyway I ask Allah to destroy Pakistan and the regime of Nawaz Sharif.

      Ameen, thumma Ameen.

Ignoring your opposition is ignorance. Face it with arguments not avoid it. We should engage the people not disengage. I also appreciate your positive contribution. One person cannot be totally evil or totally blessing. Oppose my bad things and may support me if I say something good, This is magnanimity and objectivity.

You are obsessed with hate for Pakistan so there seems to be no remedy for you except some psycho-analysis. But I will request you that why you want the same 1971 for Balochs and Pashtuns if it was so cruel for Bengalis.

Why you do not want that Pashtuns and Balochs must get modern education and have their say in the affairs of Pakistan instead of their facing the army and police of Pakistan , killing them and torturing them. Do you know that treason against your own country is sentenced with death. Do you wish that each Pashtun and Baloch will face the fate of Molla?

What plans of prosperity you have for Paksitani Balochs and Pashtuns when they will be separated from Paksitan when your prayer of disintegration or destruction of Pakistan will be accepted. Do you think Afghanistan or India can help them the way India helped Bangalis in 1971?

Pak minister raps Bangladesh for ‘opening old wounds’ | Says Mollah remained supporter of united Pakistan

These are some of the comments from this article about Pakistani minister, Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan barking against Bangladesh:

          S.M.Iftekhar Ahmed • 4 hours ago −

Mr. Khan, if you are so concerned about opening old wounds, why hasn't the nation of Pakistan had the courtesy to apologize for the atrocities committed during the Liberation War of 1971? This is indeed a very unfortunate way to think.

poy S.M.Iftekhar Ahmed • an hour ago −

Courtesy ? My dear friend, ICC should open a case against Pakistan for their atrocity. Courtesy is a polite word for such offences.

          poy • 5 hours ago −

Qader Mollah was executed for his crime against humanity, not for his loyalty for West Pakistan . In a war , you are supposed to go against the armed organization, not the civilians. And, also Pakistan should not be say such things loudly, their armed forces killed many Bangladeshi civilians without any reason. The case against their country for crime against humanity of '71 is pending. Each and every case of injustice against the Jews by the Nazis was taken into account , so he must be careful with his words.

          Abbasuddin • 3 hours ago −

Pakistanis are also war criminals who should be put on international trials at ICC for their war crimes in 1971.

          truthprevails53 • 5 hours ago −

Pakistan has not formally asked for forgiveness for what it did to us in 1971. He should keep his mouth shut.

          progressiveBG • 6 hours ago −

          Honorable Minister Khan

You are dead wrong, Pakistan should first offer a sincere apology for mass murder, pillage and plunder of 1971 to the whole nation of Bangladesh, pay compensation to the victims family, like the Germany is still doing to the Jews for Hitlers and his Nazi crimes.

If I was the head of Bangladesh government,I would open a case in Hauge or organize an Israeli type of squad to hunt down those Pakistani murderers that India let go to get an agreement with Pakistan over Kashmir, at the expenses of the victim and their family in Bangladesh.

Yes international relations do demand justice, There is no solidarity of international Islamic community....what wisdom you are talking about? No, conditions and events of the past Pakistani crimes should NOT be put behind until Pakistani army criminals and their civilian cohorts face justice.

Trail procedures of Mr. Mollah is different issue. But, forgiving Pakistani murderers? NOOOOOOOOOOO !

Thanks god we are not a part of Pakistan.......A failed nation in every area.

Politics in the Subcontinent have always been driven by surges of emotion of one kind or another. South Asians are not rationalists and political wisdom is not their forte. But, Interest of his compatriots would have been better served if Mr Khan had focussed his attention on the more pressing problems at home.

MH Khan Lunik • 3 hours ago −

He had to say say that to keep the domestic Mollas cool. That is his one of the pressing issues at home.

          poy • 5 hours ago −

“In reality, whenever any country regrettably falls victim to a civil war, then all sides in the conflict resort to violence" - unfortunately Bangladesh was on the receiving end of it , they did not do any harm to the Pakistani people. Bangladesh reacted when it was forced upon them. I think it was better for the govt to send Mollah's body to West Pakistan, since they were much dearer to his heart ."

Sweet. Mr. Nisar Ali Khan validates the execution of Qader Mollah. His statement is deemed to be offensive to all Bangladeshis. He should be bared from visiting or flying over Bangladesh.

(Best comment in the whole page in my opinion, this genocide supporter Nisar Ali Khan should be placed on a DGFI [Bangladeshi secret service] blacklist and banned fron ever entering Bangladesh or having any business interests with any Bangladeshi companies)

His statement has just proved beyond any doubt the execution was just and valid. He was hanged because he was a lunatic psychopathic child killer not for being a paki lover, (which is a crime in itself).

Mr Khan 42 YEARS OLD WOUNDs in every patriotic Bangladeshi's heart has started to healed up since Kader Mollah has been executed. Our wounds won't be healed up completely until Pakistan apologises formally for the War crime in 1971 in Bangladesh. Now Pakistani Gov should start preparation for the Formal Apology.

Minister Sb , probably you still think that Bangladesh is a part of Pakistan. You do not like any achievement of Bangladesh. Bangladesh, liberated after defeating you in the battle field is a nation being considered to be a model of self reliance It is not a failed state like you Mr. Minister If your defeated soldiers had been in Bangladesh after our liberation they would have been hanged also You are lucky that India interfered here through Shimla Conference Remember convicted collaborators who supported your atrocities here in 1971 will be hanged soon so that we can have a relief from Pakistani ghosts

          Shejan Masud • 2 hours ago −

Oh please why don't you take all the Jamaat guys back to Pakistan before we hang them all here!

Kader The Butcher Mollah slaughtered hundreds of innocent Bengalis and raped hundreds of women together with Pakistan soldiers during '71 independence. We the people of Bangladesh are content and hoping that one by one these criminals will be hung.

MD Habibur Rahman Salman • 3 hours ago −

Mr Khan, why didn't you take your assisting killer hands back into your Pakistan? We Bangladeshis deny any sort of reconciliation with Pakistan, yes, only with Pakistan. There are many countries out there in the world. You better forget this daydream and oil your own machine. Wait, many things to be seen and tolerated yet. THIS IS BANGLADESH, NOT EAST-PAKISTAN ANYMORE.

          Jafar Iqbal • 6 hours ago −

How dare a Pakistani speaks about Bangladesh's independence issues?

Choudhry Nisar Ali Khan, a member of the ruling PML-N, a party which works with extremist fundamentalist groups in southern Punjab who are anti-Shia.

This is a dark and shameful day for the PML-N.

          1. PTI

Imran Khan would never say anything like this supporting the 1971 genocide especially since he was in Dhaka in 1971 on the eve of the massacres and personally heard Pakistani officers tell their soldiers to slaughter Bengalis.

          2. ANP

The ANP would never say anything like this as they supported Bengalis in 1971 during their previous incarnation as the NAP. A Khudai Khidmatagar even fought on the Bengali side in 1971. The ANP hate the fundamentalists of Jamaat.

          3. MQM.

The MQM would never say this as they hate Jamaat and other fundamentalists. Plus many Mohajirs identify with Bengalis as fellow victims of Punjabi discrimination. Karachi's 3 million Bengali community are mainly affiliated to the MQM.

Obviously the racist anti-Bengali PPP will support people who killed Bengalis as they are the party of Bhutto and Tikka Khan, and Jamaat is defending its Bangladeshi wing.

However for the PML-N to utter such disgusting words as this is shameful.

May Allah protect decent Pakistanis from the PML-N and their terrorist allies e.g. the Lashkar Jhangvi and others.

Astaghfirullah, shame on the PML-N for supporting genocide and the killing and rape of Muslims in Bangladesh.

To be fair, the Pakistani foreign ministry have shown maturity and class (unlike the Turkish regime) in dealing with this. It seems the Pakistani political establishment in general are not interested in the Molla execution e.g. the PTI did nothing to help their coalition partners, Jamaat and a Jamaati move to make the Molla execution be debated in parliament was blocked.

This is what the Pakistani foreign ministry has said. To be honest, I have to respect their calm and mature words.

The Foreign Office was very careful its selection of words.

“While it is not Pakistan’s policy to interfere in the affairs of any country, we have noted the concerns raised by the international community and human rights organisations on the way the recent trials have been conducted which have added to the current instability in Bangladesh,” it said in a statement.
“We wish the brotherly people of Bangladesh well and hope that spirit of reconciliation and an atmosphere, free of violence, will prevail.

Yep, this is an internal matter of Bangladesh. We have no right to say anything, Nisar’s comments were incredibly immature.
We had our chance to work with them before 71 and we screwed that up big time. Now its time for them to govern themselves without our intervention and pass justice as they wish.

It is simple. If Mr.Molla was really involved in killings of innocent people, then justice has been done. If he was only taken out due to the vindictive nature of Ms.Haseena, than she will face justice in front of the One with Ultimate Authority…sooner or later.

I am a Pakistani and I fully support a just and transparent prosecution of Bangladesh war criminals. I don’t know why Chaudhari Nisar is saying that all Pakistanis are saddened. He may be sad, not all. I agree with our Foreign Office’s measured response. It’s their internal matter and we have no right to intervene with their justice system.

As if Jinnah is dead now. Pakistan is the only country which condole the death of a rapist, murderer because it matches the culture of Pakistan.

The Pakistani foreign ministry's statement was mature and professional and I as a Bangladeshi did not find it provocative or unduly intrusive in to our internal affairs (even I have doubts about the legitimacy of these trials). Having criticized the PML-N and Nawaz Sharif, I must say he is still way better than that evil thug, Zardari.

Zardari, when president, openly interfered in Bangladeshi domestic affairs and supported these war criminals.

Zardari in his personal life is also a troubled man from an unstable family and suspected of killing his own brother-in-law. He is violent, a thug and a feudal landlord.

Nawaz Sharif is middle-class, a self-made man, has more class than the thug Zardari and is less provocative and controversial. Sharif has also done a lot of good for Lahore and other parts of Punjab. Feudal landlord and thug, Zardari has done nothing for Sindh or Sindhis but use them to play the "Sindhi card".

The PML-N has a Bengali wing for the Bengalis of Karachi and Nawaz Sharif was close to Zia ul Haq, who was generally pro-Bangladeshi.

The PPP is an extremely racist anti-Bengali party, full of feudals and people with low moral values and trash from the gutter, like Zardari.

Thug and supporter of war criminals in Bangladesh, Asif Zardari. A feudal landlord suspected of murdering his own brother-in-law.

There are people today who think that admitting God’s absolute greatness decreases the value and importance of humans in the creation, as if God and mankind are rivals competing in greatness and power. Meanwhile I feel that whenever our perception of God’s greatness increases, with it we become greater, because we are the creation of a great God.

Resolution passed: Abdul Quader Molla was innocent, Imran Khan claims

By Web DeskPublished: December 16, 2013

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan said Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) leader Abdul Quader Molla was innocent and charges against him were false, Radio Pakistan reported.
The PTI Chairman said that a lawyer of the international human rights organisation Reprieve, who was defending Molla, told him that the JI leader was innocent and had nothing to do with the charges against him.
He was speaking in the National Assembly on Monday.
The tragedy of fall of Dhaka gives us the lesson that issues should be handled democratically, not through military operations, Imran said.
The National Assembly also adopted a resolution on Monday expressing concern over the hanging of Molla, a senior leader of the Jamaat-e-Islami Bangladesh for his “loyalty to Pakistan”.
The resolution was moved by Sher Akbar Khan of Jamaat-e-Islami. The resolution also expresses condolences with Bangladesh and the family of Molla.
The house demanded that the Bangladesh government should not resurrect issues of 1971 and end all cases against the JI Bangladesh leadership in the spirit of understanding.
We witnessed the fall of Dhaka 42 years ago and we seem to have not learnt our lesson, said Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan.
Speaking on a point of order, the interior minister said that people still react in a violent manner, do not respect others and despite tall claims about democracy our attitudes are still undemocratic.
He further added that we should carry out self analysis to determine what we achieved and lost since the fall of Dhaka.
Nisar said the government would support the JI resolution on the issue.
PPP leader Abdul Sattar Bachani said the execution of the JI leader was an internal matter of Bangladesh and Pakistan should not interfere in the internal matters of an independent and sovereign country.
MQM leader Abdul Waseem said we should learn from the tragedy of 1971 and ruminate how to avoid national tragedies in future.
Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM), Awami National Party (ANP) and Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) did not sign the resolution.
PTI leader Makhdom Javed Hashmi, Chief of Awami Muslim League Sheikh Rasheed Ahmed, Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid leader Raza Hayat Hiraj and Maulana Ameer Zaman of Jamiat-e-Ulma-Islam-Fazl claimed Molla was executed because of his loyalty with Pakistan.

Resolution passed: Abdul Quader Molla was innocent, Imran Khan claims – The Express Tribune

Toramana I used to respect Imran Khan and think he was a good man and thought Pashtun nationalists were too harsh on this man. However this man has clearly shown that:

                1. He is an ultra-nationalist indifferent to the suffering of the Bengali people.

                2. An opportunist who will do the bidding of fundamentalists.

                3. Ignorant.

His betrayal is made worse by the fact that he himself was in the then east Pakistan in 1971 on the eve of the genocide and heard officers telling Pakistani soldiers to slaughter Bengalis.

I personally believe this man should be banned from Bangladesh for life and placed on a DGFI (Bangladeshi security service) watch list.

Thanks to the ANP and MQM who refused to be a party to this disgraceful resolution which interferes in the affairs of another sovereign state.

This guy Imran Khan is Pakistan’s biggest clown. He rants, cajoles and begs on issues that are totally irrelevant to the world, including Pakistan. He also made some very stupid comments during his recent visit to New Delhi where he brought the 1.2 billion people of that country to laughter. And, frankly, people should not be surprised if he praised Hitler in his next rant, if he describe Molla as a “Pakistani patriot”. Pakistan can succeed if it had good and honest politicians, not opportunists and nincompoops who fool the nation of illiterates. Like they say, the one-eyed man is the king of the blind. It’s not for nothing that IK was ridiculed by the British academia as “Im the dim”. This man would say or do anything to grab power.

Why is our foreign office silent?

                  Syed Badrul Ahsan

Pakistan’s national assembly, through a reassertion of the myopia which has historically kept Pakistan captive to its prejudices and inhibitions, has passed a resolution condemning the execution of Abdul Quader Mollah, a notorious war criminal in occupied Bangladesh in 1971. The country’s interior minister, Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan, has glibly called the hanging a ‘judicial murder’. The assembly unsurprisingly and carefully ignored the fact that Mollah and others like him had helped the Pakistan army in the murder of three million Bengalis and the rape of two hundred thousand Bengali women.

The move in the national assembly is once again a sign of Pakistan’s inability to forget the humiliation it went through in Bangladesh in December 1971. Because it cannot forget, it remains attitudinally bitter towards Bengalis.
Activists and supporters of Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan have been staging noisy demonstrations in various cities and towns of the country to protest the execution of Abdul Quader Mollah in Bangladesh. Mollah, a notorious collaborator of the Pakistan occupation forces in Bangladesh in 1971, has been described as shaheed-e-Pakistan (martyr of Pakistan). These protesters have carried posters inscribed with the question, in Urdu, “Bangladesh mein Jamaat-e-Islami mujrim kyun” (why is the Jamaat-e-Islami a convict in Bangladesh?).

Leading figures in the Pakistani Jamaat have demanded that their government sever diplomatic relations with Bangladesh as a way of registering its outrage over the hanging of Mollah. As if in response to this demand, Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan, minister for interior in Pakistan’s federal cabinet, earlier came forth with expressions of his “deep grief” over Mollah’s hanging. Khan has minced no words in suggesting that the Bangladesh Jamaat politician was hanged because of his solidarity with Pakistan during Bangladesh’s Liberation War in 1971. “Till the very end before the creation of Bangladesh”, as the Pakistani minister has put it, Mollah remained a supporter of a united Pakistan, which is why “today every Pakistani is saddened”‘.

That said, Jamaat leaders in Pakistan have drawn attention to an alleged deal reached by Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and Zulfikar Ali Bhutto to the effect that no one would die or be punished in Bangladesh over his role during 1971 and after. The statement is a lie.
For its part, the Pakistan foreign ministry, on its website, records its concern that the war crimes trials in Bangladesh have “added to the current instability” in the country. The ministry nevertheless wishes the “brotherly people of Bangladesh” well.

All these factors, coming from Pakistan in light of Mollah’s execution, highlight yet once again the state of denial that has been at work in the Pakistani establishment since the Pakistan army surrendered in Dhaka on 16 December 1971.
The state of denial began soon after ZA Bhutto took over as president and chief martial law administrator from a discredited Yahya Khan in late December 1971. At his very first meeting with Bangabandhu in Rawalpindi after having the latter moved from solitary confinement to house arrest, Bhutto informed Bangladesh’s founder that the Indian army was in occupation of “East Pakistan”. In the years leading up to Islamabad’s recognition of Dhaka’s independence, Pakistan persisted in referring to Bangladesh as the “Dhaka authorities”.

Pakistan was compelled to accord recognition to Bangladesh prior to the Islamic conference, held in Lahore, in February 1974. Later that year, in response to an appeal from Abdul Haq, a pro-Beijing communist leader in Bangladesh, for aid to overthrow the government of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, Bhutto instructed his cabinet to help Haq. Reference on the subject can be traced to Stanley Wolpert’s “Zulfi Bhutto of Pakistan”.
During his visit to Dhaka in June 1974, a clearly reluctant and angry Bhutto was compelled to visit the National Memorial at Savar to honour Bangladesh’s freedom fighters. His behaviour bordered on the insulting. He refused to doff the Mao cap he had on; and when the visitors’ book was presented before him for his comments, he lashed out, “Enough of this nonsense”, before pushing the book aside.

Pakistanis cheered the assassination of Bangabandhu on 15 August 1975. Prime minister Bhutto, carried away by the “good news”, quickly recognised the “Islamic Republic” of Bangladesh when no such change had come despite the coup and ordered sacks of rice to be sent to the “brotherly” people of Bangladesh.
In his time, General Ziaul Haq, Pakistan’s third military ruler, laid a wreath at the Savar memorial during his visit to Bangladesh in 1985. When Bangladesh’s media people asked him about his feelings on the occasion, he gave them a rather glib and confusing reply, “Your freedom fighters are our freedom fighters”.

In all the years since December 1971, no Pakistani government has expressed any apologies or remorse over the atrocities carried out by the Pakistan army in Bangladesh. Pervez Musharraf, the country’s fourth military ruler, once expressed no more than “regret” at what had transpired in 1971.
Under the tripartite agreement reached by Bangladesh, India and Pakistan in Delhi in April 1974, all Bangalees stranded in Pakistan were to return home to Bangladesh, which they did. All Pakistani prisoners of war in camps across India were to go back to their country, which they did. As for the 195 Pakistani military officers Bangladesh wanted to try for war crimes, the Bhutto government, aware of the backlash it could face from Pakistanis, promised the Bangladesh government that if the officers were freed, they would be tried in Pakistan itself. The 195 went back home, but Pakistan’s promise about trying them was never kept.

Today, against the background of the Pakistani interior minister’s comments on the Mollah execution and the national assembly resolution and in light of the “concerns” expressed on the Pakistani foreign office website, the silence of the Bangladesh government, especially the foreign office, is deeply mystifying, indeed stupefying. No protest has been made to the Pakistan authorities. The Pakistani high commissioner in Dhaka has not been summoned to the foreign office for an explanation.
The Pakistani Jamaat’s diatribe against Bangladesh may be understandable. But when it is a Pakistani minister and Pakistan’s foreign policy establishment taking issue over Mollah’s execution, there is no question that the move is a blatant and therefore unacceptable interference in the internal affairs of a country now engaged in meting out justice to the perpetrators of the genocide that left three million Bangalees dead.
Will Foreign Minister AH Mahmood Ali enlighten the nation on his silence?
Will the foreign office explain why it has chosen to ignore Pakistan’s behaviour on the war crimes issue?

News Analysis<br>Pakistan on Mollah | Why is our foreign office silent?

*The 3 million dead figure is an exaggeration. Outside experts claim it may have been anything between 0.3 -5 million, still a huge number of people and mass slaughter though.

                  1. The government of Bangladesh should summon the Pakistani high commissioner and protest.

                  2. The government should expel the Turkish ambassador from Bangladesh and co-ordinate policy with Egypt on this, as Egypt too has been a victim of the pro-Muslim Brotherhood, Al-Qaeda supporting regime of Erdogan.

                  3. Erdogan is facing attack from the Gulenists. Erdogan is the AKP, which in reality is a coalition of many different political factions from liberals to nationalist to "Islamists".

If Erdogan goes then the AKP is severely weakened, no one has the charisma to replace him not even Gul or Davutoglu.

                  4. There are elections in Istanbul next year and the non-AKP candidate, Mustafa Sarigul stands a strong chance of winning especially if he receives support from the Gulen movement or can gain tactical support from the Kurdish BDP.

                  Mustafa Sarigul.

Also if generals from the pro-Republican secular Turkish army are released from jail by the Gulenist judiciary, then Erdogan is in big trouble. Ultimately he could face trial himself. The credit bubble which the Turkish economy is based on may collapse in the next few years ruining the Turkish economy. Erdogan like his Muslim brotherhood counterparts in Egypt and Syria may face defeat.

Erdogan deeply unpopular amongst the urban elite.

If Erdogan is removed then this will be a nationalist defeat of "Islamists" as has happened in Syria and Egypt.

In Syria, Egypt and Turkey the armies are:

                  - Republican, against the monarchy be it the Ottomans, or former Kings of Egypt e.g. Faroukh.

                  - Nationalist, i.e. pan-Arab nationalists in Syria and Egypt, Turkish nationalist in Turkey.

                  - Secular, the Nasserite military in Egypt, the Baathist army in Syria and the Kemalist military in Turkey are all opposed to fundamentalists.

In Syria and Egypt the armies have defeated the brotherhood and after the removal of Morsi, the Nasserite Egyptian military re-opened the embassy of Baathist Syria. Turks will also defeat their version of the Brotherhood i.e. AKP/Milli Gorus.

                  5. Press TV should be banned in Bangladesh as it is also another pro-Jamaati propaganda organization.

                  6. The biggest backer of the Jamaat and the ultimate enemy even more than Turkey (Pakistan is a failed terrorist state with little capability) is Saudi Arabia.

Erdogan can be voted out or, the Saudis cannot. However the Saud tribe are going to start to feel the heat in a major way after years of betraying Islam and the Muslims of Bangladesh.

The Saudis will pay for their treachery and support for genocide.

Watch what happens in the next few months, and I will highlight this post just to remind everyone what I said.

This is the crux of the matter. I am surprised to see that people oppose Pakistan in spite of the fact that it is the most Islamic country on the world, an Islamic Republic and its constitution the most Islamic one.

All say that Pakistan is the only country in the world born on the name of Islam. All other Muslim countries including Afghanistan is a nation state. It does not mean I love the Islamist Pakistan but I wonder why the lovers of Islam or Islamism hate the Islamic Pakistan. Can you show me another country more Islamic than Pakistan?

Also Pakistan is a sovereign independent country with 190 millions of inhabitants and hosting more than 40 millions of Pashtuns. I am against Islamism but not against any state including Pakistan.

India should act like a big neighbour: Jamaat leader

Shubhajit Roy : Dhaka, Wed Dec 18 2013, 00:09 hrs

From the fourth floor of a house in Dhaka's Dhanmondi locality, the Jamaat-e-Islami Tuesday opened doors for communication with India, even as its activists lead violent protests across the country over their leader Abdul Quader Mollah's execution last week.

Abdur Razzak, the only public face of Jamaat — which has been banned as a political party — says, "India has to take the lead. we are open (to talk), and ready to engage with them. India should not keep a closed mind." He added that Jamaat is already engaging with the international community, including the US and UK.

A 64-year-old lawyer, Razzak is the chief defence counsel of the Jamaat leaders being tried for the 1971 war crimes. He rarely meets Indian journalists, and now for the first time, he is speaking to an Indian delegation of journalists in his house.

"India needs to build trust, act like a big neighbour," he says, recalling Prime Minister Manmohan Singh's remarks that Bangladesh is anti-Indian due to Jamaat.

Rubbishing the Indian apprehension that Jamaat has played a role in terrorist activities against India, he said, "This is propaganda."

A lawyer by training, he last went to India in 1992, when he met then Attorney General Soli Sorabjee in Delhi and members at the Bar Council.

He says now he is not welcome to India.

When asked about the violence being caused in the streets by Jamaat activists, he says, "Jamaat has been denied all political rights, we can't hold meetings. Most leaders are underground, I am the only one who is visible because I don't do political work. If we hold meetings, police come and say we are conspiring against the state."

When probed how does he justify violence, "Some of our young people have been wrong, they need to be reined in. but there will be no violence if the Bangladesh police acts like Indian police," he said, alluding to the Indian police firing warning shots and using water cannons.

India should act like a big neighbour: Jamaat leader - Indian Express

                      Maulik and others

                      1. This sort of information would never be shared on an anti-Bangladeshi hate-site such as defence.pk and least of all by the anti-India Jamaatis on the forum there.

                      2. If anyone else had said such a thing then the Jamaatis on that hate-site would have said:

"This is treachery and calling for Indian influence in Bangladesh"

"This is treachery and praising the Indian police above the Bangladeshi police".

                      3. All of this goes to prove that Jamaatis are opportunists like all the other parties in Bangladesh. As for the Jamaati leader's claim above that Jamaat is not responsible for anti-India propaganda, that is nonsense.

Jamaatis hate India and Hindus from the bottom of their hearts and do not want any normalization of Indian-Bangladeshi relations as per the instructions of their masters in Islamabad-Rawalpindi, Pakistan.

All you have to do is go to the main Jamaati website in the English language, defence.pk (a Pakistani site, but that is what Jamaatis want to be, Pakistani, and for Bangladesh to be part of Pakistan again) and see the hatred they have for India which is obsessive.

Now I believe that New Delhi policy makers have made many mistakes and need to change their attitude and policies towards Bangladesh. Indians might feel Bangladesh needs to change some things. However at the end of the day we are neighbours and have to live together.

Some false information is being spread on this site by sympathizers of "Jamaat e Islami" such as Unknownprince a.k.a "Shah-i-Kot".

                            I will refute these lies.

The Islamic political parties in Bangladesh are considered a threat to the secular government because of their upsurge in support. Jamaat has handed out many social services, has schools, clinics, and hospitals- basic services that Hasina's government is unable to meet.

This state execution was politically motivated to send a message.

The Hasina government rigged the election. They completely banned Islamic political parties from participating in elections recently too.
                            A. First of all not all Islamic political parties are banned from participating in elections, this is a lie.

There is only one political party which is not allowed to contest elections and that is Jamaat e Islami.

Jamaat itself is not even banned. It can recruit members, have websites, have a facebook page, have talks etc but it cannot contest elections.

Here are the other Islamic political parties in Bangladesh.

                            1. Khelafat Majlis:

Deobandi group that made a political deal with Hasina 2006.

                            2. Islamic Front Bangladesh.

One of the lies of Jamaatis and their foreign sympathizers is that an attack on Jamaat e Islami is itself an attack on Islam per se. This is wrong and a lie.

This is also similar to what Pakistani nationalists and their sympathizers do when they claim that to be against Pakistan or whoever is ruling Pakistan i.e. the Pakistani "state" (or the politicians in power at the time) is against Islam.

Jamaat and its allies such as the Muslim Brotherhood, Nahda in Tunisia, Saudi regime, Press TV also try to claim that these trials are against "Muslim scholars".

Kader Molla has never studied Islamic theology and is not a Mollah or Imam but a political activist.

There are tens of thousands of madrassas in Bangladesh, none of them are shut down.

All of this is just generally part of the Ikhwani/Islamist network campaign to bully Bangladesh as they do not recognize Bangladeshi freedom as legitimate but believe it should be part of Pakistan or should have stayed as second class citizens in Pakistan. Unfortunately for Jamaati/Ikhwani supporters like Unknownprince a.k.a "Shah-i-Kot", Bangladesh is free and independent and not part of his beloved Pakistan and will stay free and independent.

Many of these ignorant "Islamists" do not even know that Kader Molla claimed to be a freedom fighter during the 1971 war i.e. he fought against the Pakistani army.

Obviously he was lying but technically the Pakistani regime is supporting a man who claimed he fought against the Pakistan army in 1971.

ERDOGAN STRIKES BACK AGAINST GULENISTS BY SACKING POLICE CHIEFS!

                              a:

ANKARA: Turkish police detained the sons of three cabinet ministers and several high-profile businessmen on Tuesday in a sweeping probe into alleged bribery and corruption that sent shockwaves across the country....

But some political observers speculated that the raids stemmed from simmering tensions between Erdogan's government and influential Muslim cleric Fethullah Gulen which have burst out into the open ahead of elections next year....

Highlighting the friction, former international football player Hakan Sukur announced Monday he was resigning from the AKP.

Sukur, who was elected MP for Istanbul in 2011, has voiced objections to the plans to shut down the schools run by Gulen's movement Hizmet.

The ex-footballer, who is known to be closely affiliated with the Gulen movement, was the second AKP to quit in just a few weeks.

"The AKP has put its signature to many important successes and reforms over the past 11 years, but the senseless attitude adopted since the dershane (Gulen schools) issue broke out has offended many conscientious people," Sukur said.
gulftoday.ae | Turkey arrests ministers' sons in corruption probe

Hakan Sukur, Sukur is a Turkish football legend. He has resigned from the AKP and Erdogan responded by saying Sukur should leave the Turkish parliament itself i.e. stand down as an MP.

b: Gulen is stronger than Erdogan.

Erdogan's power is based on votes. If he doesn't get votes he has no power.

Gulen's followers will follow him until he dies. He controls the police force.

If there is another Gezi-style uprising the Gulenist police force simply has to refuse to protect AKP/Government buildings or watch as demonstrators attack AKP buildings.

Turkey becomes ungovernable, and Erdogan has to quit.

Gulen is as I said stronger than Erdogan and the loud-mouthed Erdogan has picked the wrong person to start a fight with.

                              - Also the Turkish army is still Kemalist and even those non-Kemalists who have infiltrated in to high positions in the army are mainly Gulenists. If Turkey descends in to chaos with Gezi 2 and the Gulenist police letting the rioters go wild, attack the AKP and ruin the Turkish economy with the Turkish stock market crashing, the Kemalist (Gulenist infiltrators in it) army can tell Erdogan to step down.

The reason the Kemalist army is scared of Erdogan is that they feared the Gulenist police, judiciary and intelligence agents could put them in prison. If that threat is removed, they will take action against Erdogan if there is another Gezi 2 situation and Turkey descends in to chaos.

Gezi uprising, where it is said over 3 million Turks took to the streets against the Erdogan regime.

With Erdogan out, we Bangladeshis will be free from a Turkish regime that supports fundamentalists in our country, supports war criminals, insults our government and disrespect our independence struggle and national sovereignty.

Jamaat will have lost another major ally, just as they lost Morsi in Egypt.

One by one the enemies of Bangladesh, allies of Jamaat are being destroyed.

Saudi Arabia needs to be careful because if they continue to support Jamaat things will get "interesting" with them too.

Erdogan strikes back against Gulen, 5 Turkish police commanders sacked, the day after the sons of 3 AKP ministers are arrested.

This will just anger the Gulenists even more and drive them even more in to alliances with the CHP, Kemalists and others.

Police chiefs 'sacked' in Turkey amid fears of feud

Mustafa Demir, mayor of Istanbul's Fatih district, was among those arrested

BBC News - Turkish ministers&#039; sons detained in bribery probe

Turkish police chiefs who oversaw a wave of high-profile arrests for bribery have been sacked from their posts in Istanbul, Turkish media say.

Five police chiefs are said to have been fired in Istanbul a day after at least 52 people were picked up, including sons of cabinet ministers.

Tuesday's arrests in dawn raids shocked the political establishment.

They are being portrayed by some as an attack on Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan, in a feud with a former ally.

Fethullah Gulen, an influential Islamic scholar living in exile in the US, once backed the ruling AK Party, helping it to victory in three elections since 2002.

His followers are said to hold influential positions in institutions from the police and secret services to the judiciary and the AK Party itself.

Commentators in Turkey believe the arrests - and subsequent firings - are evidence of a new dramatic fault line in Turkish politics, one within the AK Party itself, the BBC's James Reynolds reports.

In recent months, the alliance began to come apart and in November the government discussed closing down private schools, including those run by Mr Gulen's movement, Hizmet.

In a speech after Tuesday's wave of arrests, Mr Erdogan vowed not to bow to any "threat" or "dirty alliances" aimed at creating division within the ruling party.

"Turkey is not a banana republic or a third-class tribal state," he said, speaking in the city of Konya, an AK stronghold. "Nobody inside or outside my country can stir up or trap my country."

                                Police silence

The five police commissioners sacked include the heads of the financial crime and organised crime units, who were both involved in the earlier arrests, the Turkish daily Hurriyet reports.

Also dismissed were the heads of the smuggling unit, the anti-terrorism branch and the public security branch, the paper says.

No immediate reason was given for their dismissals and, approached by Reuters news agency, police would not comment.

The mass arrests - according to Hurriyet, as many as 84 people were detained - were carried out as part of an inquiry into alleged bribery involving public tenders.

The sons of Interior Minister Muammer Guler, Economy Minister Zafer Caglayan and Environment Minister Erdogan Bayraktar were among those detained.

Police also raided the Ankara headquarters of one of Turkey's biggest banks, state-run lender Halkbank, and the headquarters of a large construction company owned by tycoon Ali Agaoglu.

Fethullah Gulen has been living in the US since 1999, when he was accused in Turkey of plotting against the secular state.

                                - Erdogan is an idiot. Gulen is too strong to be defeated in such a confrontational and aggressive manner as Erdogan is doing, though Gulen himself is autocratic and has been harassing the AKP too e.g. arrest of Erdogan's spy chief, Hakan Fidan, a while back by the Gulenist police.

                                - Erdogan is launching a war against Gulen, 6 months after massive nation-wide street protests against him and his regime. Protests which were only stopped by the Gulenist police.

                                - Erdogan cannot keep on making enemies and then take them on all at the same time i.e. CHP, MHP, Gulenists, Kemalists, Turkish army.

The man is a complete idiot.
